Computer, begin Chief Medical Officer's Log, Stardate 63830.66.
::She is seated on her bed, leaning backwards, the lights dimmed, somewhat, the way she's always preferred. Her quarters are quiet as usual::
I have been on the USS Frontier for about a month now. It has truly been a wonderful experience so far. I have done more envasive medical procedures than I thought I would in this short time, but it has just added to the excitement. Though, I'm sure my patients wouldn't agree. ::She laughs:: One of my patients had to have metal shrapnel removed from their chest when one of the decks got damaged during a fight with the Tholians (I was informed). The patient didn't seem like she would survive, but luckily even to this moment her vital signs are steady. Another patient had to have his sprained ankle repaired. He'll be walking on it in six weeks.
The only face I have recognized so far is that of Lt. JG Yuna Tremayne. I once knew her back when we were both in high school. Okay, it was not me, Solana, it was Tolar, the last host to the Xani symbiont. Tolar (before being joined) and Yuna had crushes on each other back then. They dated for a while, nothing serious. When high school ended, they parted ways. Unfortunately, Tolar's life was cut short when he was killed in a shuttle explosion during his first year at Starfleet Academy, only a year after his joining to the Xani symbiont. He had secretly been in love with Yuna for years.
We have been having dinner together quite often and go to the holodeck for various adventures. She's quite possibly my best friend.
Well, I'm quite sleepy and I think I'll go to bed now.
Computer, end log.
