Around the Fleet
USS Expedition NCC 76227
The virus that have infected the Talaxians, has also weeded it’s way on the ships crew. This has caused some strange symptoms as Ensign Fox stays in sickbay as a test subject. Meanwhile, Captain Dean takes the Expedition to Norcadia to search for the infected vegetation, and possibly who is responsible.
USS New York NCC 71868
The New York makes it to Gaius without incident. Although in the Capital city, a large number of protestors demonstrate. Lt Colonel Stevenson and his away team take the ambassador via shuttle craft to the Capital city. With the Tal Shiar waiting, all seemed to go smoothly, but it was after they returned, they hear news that the ambassador had suffer a Cardio Vascular Accident.
USS Aryes NCC 81204
Aryes has not just orbited Vulcan and LCmdr T'Lar is on her way down to meet with Sotark, her future bondmate, and their family for a Vulcan marriage ritual. While T'Lar is there, the rest of the crewmembers will be given a chance to see some of the Vulcan sites.
101st Marine Pathfinders
The 101st Pathfinders take out the USS Vigilant on it’s first mission ever, to retrieve STORM, and neutralize the Munich. The USS Curie, and Kensington would make the ultimate sacrifice from the last 2 Tri-Colbalt torpedoes the Munich had. The Vigilant would perform better then expected, helping the fighters to wear down the Munich. Colonel Fox, and the 101st would make it off the Munich before she imploded.
USS Pegasus UFMV 25347
With the Colissian armada exposed, the Pegasus went into full assist mode, sending out a general call for any federation ships to render assistance. Meanwhile, Captain Perkell made his final action as leader of his people, he collapsed on the bridge from old age, and stress. His daughter, Security Chief Morgan, has accepted his request, she lead her people to a new home, and let the Federation help them.
USS Frontier NCC 11385
A distress call from a stranded Cardassian ship turns awry for the Frontier. The Cardassian attacks the Frontier, as the leaking Gluons from the ship, apparently are something more sinister.
Board Sims
USS Vindicator UFMV 16052
The Vindicator is docked at Starbase. The crew socializes a bit, some good, some not so good.
USS Terrasect NCC 70000
The Terrasect has made it to Deep Space 12, as modifications, and repairs will be carried out.

She Deserves it, and more…
LtCdr Vanessa Ann Lucifel, First Officer of the USS Expedition
By Marine Captain Jennifer Morgan
January 29, 2385 a day that will change the United Forces. Back then General Weslynes, and Admiral Harsting didn’t know a new recruit assigned to the USS London as their Assistant Engineer would contribute so much in the next coming year.
Her name then was Cadet Vanessa Ann Yates (thus her screen name CadetVYates), and her first SIM did not live up to any distinction, but after that she was hooked. On February 26, she introduced the USS Vigilant. Admiral Harsting was so impressed; he had to have her on his R&D team. With the London Decommission she found herself without a starship, but not for long.
Before 3D renders, she had to go with old photos
By this time Vanessa had met Deragon Lucifel, and had reluctantly got a Chief Science Officer post on the USS Pegasus. A Position she would keep for the next year. With that, came another Starship, March 14th the USS Hornet was introduced, boasted as the Largest Starship ever designed.
Meanwhile, Admiral Harsting was about to Launch the Terrasect, and he wanted the brightest onboard. Knowing what Yates had, and can do, he requested her to serve as his Operations Officer, she would stay on the Terrasect also for over a year at that position.
Even when she was quiet, she was doing something for the UF. Some accomplishments were:
· The USS Yankee
· Uniform Distribution (Avatar service)
· The Storyline titled “The Purge”
· Her inevitable marriage to Deragon Lucifel
· 3D Renders, and Art work for the UF
· UF Weekly reporter
This is the shortlist; her name was synomous in the Recruit room (she come online, and the IM’s would just come in).
All this culminates on May 21st, when Captain Edward Dean requested her to serve aboard the USS Expedition as their First Officer. Everyone in the fleet had given her their best wishes, and the one statement that seems to be said over, and over again “She Deserves it”.
As her closest friend, and companion I must say the same. From the day the Vanessa Yates had became a character thoughts of Commanding on a ship one day were her aspirations. From where this reporter is standing, it was only a matter of time that she get that opportunity. She is liked by all, and feared by none. She will break her back for her friends, and comfort them when they need it. She is truly the blending of the best that the federation has to offer.
The United Forces 3.01?

Our resident Webmaster has been busy again, and this time it looks like perfection. Some new features, some added features, and some new formatting on the boards.
Media Gallery – Images, and video on all starships of the United Forces.
Dedication Plaques – As stated, a plaque for every ship in the UF.
Quotation Contest – A new feature for our members.
One-Year Members – Area reserved for those memers that accomplished one Year in the UF
Meanwhile if you’ve seen the Terrasect, or Pegasus on the board, anew header depicting renders of both ships, and their respective plaques. These are a Work In Progress changes that will eventually include all the ships of the line.
Interview
By LtCdr Vanessa A Lucifel
Finally, I get to torture the one who has scurried, and hid whenever I mention the word Interview. Marine Captain Hunter is one of the most well liked characters in the UF. His opinion and advice is sort by many, as well as a sense of humor which has me dressed in leather with a whip to give interviews.
Cadet V Yates: Benn waiting to torture you for the longest ::Giggles::
Tidus1194: ::laughs:: So I have heard
Cadet V Yates: Ok, first of all, how long you've been simming for the UF?
Tidus1194: Let me think a second, Almost a year
Tidus1194: Think*
Cadet V Yates: Is Captain Hunter your first Character?
Tidus1194: ::Smiles:: Yes he is he is really my first simming character ever
Cadet V Yates: He's a well liked Character as well. One of the most popular amongst other members, was this by design?
Tidus1194: ::chuckles:: Really? I had no idea. No that was not intentional by any means nut I am flattered
Tidus1194: but*
Cadet V Yates: ::Smiles:: Well then, you heard it first. Will is a very active Marine, and it seems he's comfortable no matter what the mission. Is there someone in Wills life as far as love?
Tidus1194: I am married to Captain Sowren Hunter Tirina of the USS Aryes ....And I will let everybody know she just told me I am going to be a dad.
Tidus1194: I love her to death she is great and beautiful and tough. My type of gal
Cadet V Yates: WOW, this is the Breaking News Interview for me. Now, you are one of the biggest cheerleader for posting on the board. Tom MacDonell did 44 postings last week. Is this the response you wanted to see?
Tidus1194: This is exactly what I wanted to see. My hats off to Tom, I think posting is great for Char development and recruiting as well.
Cadet V Yates: I agree. Well, your going to be a Daddy, is there any other things we might see for the future of Captain Will Hunter?
Tidus1194: I think you will see him travel to Romulus, Will is trying to find his roots.
Cadet V Yates: Hmmm That would be interesting. OK the final 2 questions. First, favorite Star Trek Series?
Tidus1194: TNG and DS9 I would have to call them a tie.
Cadet V Yates: Oooh A tie. How about favorite Character?
Tidus1194: ::Laughs:: Another tie Riker and Sisko
Cadet V Yates: WOW, you picked two goodies at that. Thank you Captain Hunter, now did that really hurt that much?
Tidus1194: Not as bad as when I make Tirina mad at me ::chuckles::
Tidus1194: Thank you for having me.
Cadet V Yates: ::Laughs: I Can imagine.
Cadet V Yates: You are always welcomed Captain Hunter, we're glad to have you.
Alien Corner
VISSIANS
A species first encountered by Humanity in 2152, the Vissians were much more advanced technologically than Humanity of this period, but tended to be much slower in their rate of progress. Although largely Humanoid in appearance, the Vissians are distinguishable by two large ridges around the eyes. Vissians have three genders; the normal male and female genders and a 'cogenitor' intermediate. Cogenitors make up about 3% of the Vissian population, which is just sufficient in terms of their availability to assist in procreation. Vissian culture treats the cogenitors as second class citizens; they are not named and have no access to education or any interests outside of their biological role. Despite this, the cogenitors have just as much mental ability as the males and females.
Vissians culture had other significant differences beyond their treatment of the cogenitors. The appreciated the aroma of food far more than the taste. When developing a romantic relationship, a Vissian woman would share her bed with a man early in the relationship; she would only dine with him if she enjoyed sleeping with him.
The Vissians developed warp drive some time prior to 1152, but although they had developed significant advances in warp technology, their ships had largely stayed relatively close to their own planets.
Board news
The last count was taken at 6:09 pm, on May 20, 2006. This week’s count was taken at 3:40 pm, May 27, 2006. When doing the counts I leave out the board Sims for a counting of sim placement based on the fact this is how they sim. And would be unfair to the live Sims.
The total number of new postings increased from 8.495 to 8,769, for a total increase of 274 postings of the live Sims and general areas.

The Academy held a second event this week which was a search and rescue mission.
We received a call that a group of Marines were separated form their company on the planet Idrial. It was in the dead of winter and was estimated that the lost Marines could only last 12 hours at most before dying of exposure.
The team had to overcome several obstacles in their search for the lost Marines these included: A snow storm, snow drifts, a huge hill that was 8 stories high with various inclines, temperatures that dropped to zero degrees and minus 20 degrees. The team was successful and managed to save the Marines with 2 hours to spare.
The members of the team were:
Capt Del'Kara who led the team of the USS Vindicator.
STUF Victoria Love of the USS Pegasus
Yhea THrienteh of the USS New York
1st Lt Stephine Morgan of the 101st Marine Pathfinders
MCO 1st Lt Khadi of the USS Pegasus.
