Ship News
As of 4/29/2006 00:00 hrs EST.
USS Expedition NCC 76227
Captain Edwards goes for his quarry, a Hirogen Hunter ship. But the Alpha ship comes back for more. Fortunately, between fighter support, and the Expeditions guns, they dispatch the heavy armed Hirogen ship.
USS New York NCC 71868
Ri’Pak was found guilty on multiple counts. Only the devil deserves the fate that will befall him. New crew members join the New York, as the crew enjoys a shore leave.
USS Aryes NCC 81204
The Breen recover, and begin to lay it on the Aryes. Fortunately the Aryes fighter disables one, and the Aryes dispatches the other. Good job Aryes.
101st Marine Pathfinders
In a major marine offensive, the 101st is sent to R&D Station Beta, which the Orions are holding siege. The 101st makes mince meat of the Orion defenses, and make it to the station to find all the survivors dead, and an uplink to the stations archive computer.
USS Pegasus NCC 25347
The Pegasus played host, as Captain Perkell told the crew the story about their planet named Colissa and how there was a binary nova that doomed their world. The Colissians were not accustomed to asking for help from other life forms.
USS Frontier NCC 11385
After successfully securing the alien installation on Durna, the Frontier patrols the local area, as the Bajoran Defense Force mops up. After unsuccessfully picking up any signs of alien intrusion, an alien ship uncloaks, and pounces on the Frontier.
Board Sims

Fleet News
Welcome our newest recruit.
As most of you may have known, LtCdr Lucifel has been waddling down the corridors of the Pegasus, and Terrasect for quite awhile (nearly 10 monthes). Yearning to have her slim, trim body back, and no willing to wait until next month, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Cassiopia Lenora Lucifel.
Cassiopia was deliverd by CMO Marine Captain Del’kara at 2249 hrs on star date 63314.96 (Tuesday April 25, 2006). She weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces. Her name was given her by both Parents, her middle name hold a lot of signifigance as she is named after Dr Leonard Kearns.
Dr Kearns gave his life to cure the then Lt Vanessa A Yates. Born a hybrid human with alien tissue from Omicron Ceti III, she was infected with spores. It was his Metaphasic treatments that rid her of the spores, and gave her back the ability to give birth.
From all the staff here at the UF Weekly.
Congratulations Vanessa, and Deragon.
AOL/AIM Lounge
So you have 11 Characters, and only 7 screen names to use in AOL. Seems some will never see the day of light in the UF Recruit room, well things change, for the better.
On Tuesday April 25th, the United Forces christened it’s AOL/AIM Lounge. This Lounge is accessible via the UF Website. Now all members of the UF, as we’ll as potential recruit, can interact no matter if they have AOL, or not.
The link for the chat room can be found on the United Forces web page in the menu to the left.
Lets Talk!
Personalized Web site
The United Forces web site has just been personalized. Maybe you have noticed but if you haven’t been there in awhile, a new bar menu was placed under the banner.
This Custom Name bar allows you to log on with your screen name, and personalize the webpage for you.
See something new?
Alienated
Talent! A word associated with a lot of people who rightfully deserve the moniker. Well this week, our very own LtCdr Lucifel gets her picture put next to the word for creating an image for the strange aliens that the USS Pegasus has been following these many weeks.
You can view these aliens in the USS Pegasus boards, under the First Contact thread. As well as her Chief Science Officer Log.
Captain Perkell is a Colisian, more info to follow for sure.
Alien Corner
Armus
In 2364 Counselor Troi was traveling back to the Enterprise-D in a shuttlecraft when it was pulled of course by a mysterious force which crash-landed it on Vagra II. Troi survived the crash, but when the Enterprise came to her rescue the ship was unable to beam her up due to a strange energy on the planet. The ship dispatched an Away Team, but on arrival the team was prevented from approaching the crashed shuttle by a strange being. The life form initially took the form of a viscous black liquid which lay on the surface. It blocked access by interposing itself between the Away Team and the shuttle, and then assumed a slightly more Humanoid form. The creature communicated with the away team verbally, calling itself Armus. It refused all requests to allow the Away Team to help Troi, and when Lieutenant Yar attempted to walk past it Armus hit her with some form of energy discharge, killing her.
Armus demonstrated many powerful abilities. It seemed unaffected by phaser fire and was able to manipulate and even transport matter. Armus claimed that it had once been a part of beings not unlike Humans. In the distant past these beings had discovered a way to convert their negative personality traits into a physical skin, which they then shed. These people had subsequently become dazzlingly beautiful and had departed their home planet, leaving the 'evil' material - Armus - behind.
Armus made several attempts to terrorize the Enterprise crew, but each time was frustrated by their total refusal to assist it. Eventually they realized that the energy field preventing transport was reduced in strength each time Armus was frustrated; Captain Picard beamed down and confronted Armus, provoking it into a rage of such magnitude that the ship was able to beam its crew back.
The Enterprise posted warnings to prevent any vessels from approaching Vagra II and abandoned Armus there. Its fate is unknown, but there is no reason to suppose that it is not still on the planet.
Board news
The last count was taken at 11:30 am. On April 22, 2006. This week’s count was taken at 4:30 April 29, 2006. When doing the counts I leave out the board Sims for a counting of sim placement based on the fact this is how they sim. And would be unfair to the live Sims.
The total number of new postings increased from 7,483 to 7,712. For a total increase of 229 postings of the live Sims and general areas. What an improvement.

Crio’s Corner
By Cdr Crio Ijoula
For the very first question here, I'll go really easy on everyone...at least it'll be easy if you're familiar at all with the ENTERPRISE series...
Question: What is the name of Captain Archer's dog?
---The answer will be in next week's trivia section. If you want to send me a guess, please email me at chrisdeel@aol.com. Put in the subject line "Crio's Trivia Corner" so I know what it's for. All correct answer winners will be posted.

Image of the week.
Fleet Admiral Jim Harsting was wondering how he would appear in 3D rendering. With a very open template to go with, and with the aid of his current Avatar, this is what LtCdr Lucifel came up with.
Admiral, you clean up well.
