Ship News
As of 4/9/2006 00:00 hrs EST.
USS Expedition NCC 76227
Back into the fray the Expedition takes on the remaining Hirogen hunter ships, with help from the USS Frontier. The Expedition would take a pounding from the inside as some hunters made it aboard.
USS New York NCC 71868
Ri’Pak was taken to trial, and the judges went for their number one witness of his criminal activities, Lt Candela Montag. Her testimony was quick, and concise, and quite damming to Ri’Pak. Yet the prosecution added some doubt in her own innocence as well. With one last statement, she put all fears of Ri’Paks acquittal to rest, as she offers her life along with his.
USS Aryes NCC 81204
Things run amuck as the prisoner escapes, yet a fire fight would find him dead, and Captain Tirina with no answers. To add to the mayhem, the Breen await the thief, but the Aryes intervenes. Not to the Breens happiness, they decide to take on the Aryes, but a few Tricolbalt torpedoes put an end to there half hearted attack.
101st Marine Pathfinders
The 101st have made it aboard the station, and the answers they get from the crystals are more puzzling. Apparently the 119th has been utilized as the invaders of the station by a Klingon Ambassador. After taking Captain Iverson prisoner, he would regret it as she escaped, and gave him a good reason to let her go. But it didn’t stop him from releasing a deadly planet killer that would destroy the station. The 101st, as well as surviving 119th marines, and the ambassador departed before the station was destroyed.
USS Pegasus NCC 25347
General Weslynes attempts to play happy hostess to lure the aliens into visiting the Pegasus by inviting them to dinner. The alien commander Perkell is happy to oblige if the Pegasus promises to leave them alone. Nether less they are also running low on supplies.
USS Frontier NCC 11385
The Frontier was sent to patrol the Bajor system. All was clear until a suspicious Ion trail was detected. The pattern was consistent with a search pattern of a scout ship. They followed it to Bajors 4th moon Durna, where they found a suspicious low power reading from the surface.
With no ship, or structure on the surface, this lead to the belief there is an underground hidden facility.

News from Candela Montag of her imminent departure is finally revealed, as new crewmembers come aboard.

Interviews
By Vanessa A Lucifel
It was a matter of time I had the pleasure to interview Colonel Keith Fox. Personified as a “Bad boy”, the Colonel has been thru a lot. Even after an demotion, he would find himself commanding the 101st Pathfinders.
Although there are many perceptions, and ideas behind Fox, it was time we find out more about this character who has suffered failed relationships, death, and emotional roller coasters to become a kind of necessary character in the UF.
Cadet V Yates: You were one of the Original UF members. Why did you join?
Lt Keith Fox: I was looking for a new group of simmers to Sim with and I had alot of friends in the UF. I thought why not. Might be a good place to turn things around for myself.
Cadet V Yates: I trust it wasn't a bad decision?
Lt Keith Fox: I don't think so. 13 months and I'm still here. I regret nothing.
Cadet V Yates: Did you picture yourself as a Commanding officer about a year ago?
Lt Keith Fox: Nope...When I joined a year ago, I was a 1st Lieutenant on the Pegasus; I thought I'd be there for the duration of my UF Service. Then came the creation of the 101st and I joined.
Lt Keith Fox: I was a Captain then, then I was demoted to Command Sergeant Major...served as that status until I was made XO of the unit by Colonel Roads
Lt Keith Fox: Id been XO before, but never CO. so no.
Cadet V Yates: Marine life seems to fit you well. Any character building in your IRL went into your character?
Lt Keith Fox: Well I've a few friends that are in the service, they helped me model my character. I don't act anything like Keith IRL at all. Which is why I’m trying to change how he is?
Lt Keith Fox: This did help me change myself
Cadet V Yates: Now, Keith's character had a very hard life, except for the fact he's loaded. Do these bad intentions that befall him mold him into the Bad boy CO he is?
Lt Keith Fox: I wouldn't call him so much of a bad boy as he is a misunderstood person
Lt Keith Fox: I mean Keith got the latinum he did from a friend who killed their character off who was extremely loaded
Lt Keith Fox: If had been any of us IRL, that money would have been gone by now. I think he's just a misunderstood person
Cadet V Yates: Recently, he has had two engagements, and the second one has grounded him alot. Is this also a part of character development, or has he finally found true love?
Lt Keith Fox: I think he has finally found true love. I know he loved delta, when she lost AOL he changed, for the worst. Now he's found Ashley, I think he will finally stabilize
Cadet V Yates: That’s great. Now for the money question. Recently you inspired your platoon in ranking second in Post for the week. And you made a very *RISKY* bet. If you had to, would you do it again?
Lt Keith Fox: If there is one thing I like, it’s to set the paces and to set the precedent. If it gets my guys to laugh and fight better and my units morale up
Lt Keith Fox: I would do it again in a heartbeat
Cadet V Yates: must admit, the 101st has one great morale booster. Now the two last questions. Favorite Star Trek Series?
Lt Keith Fox: I'm Partial to DS9
Cadet V Yates: Good pick one of mine too. Favorite Character.
Lt Keith Fox: Of any series or of DS9
Cadet V Yates: Any series.
Lt Keith Fox: I suppose if I had to choose anyone...
Lt Keith Fox: Scotty.
Cadet V Yates: Great Pick. You reading my mind or what LOL
Lt Keith Fox: I don't think so. I'm not a betazoid. ::Smile::
Cadet V Yates: Thank you Colonel for your time.
Lt Keith Fox: No problem, anytime
Cadet V Yates: Anyone ask, tell them it was painful LOL
Lt Keith Fox: Oh I will.
Alien Corner
Nanites
Nanotechnology has been used within the Federation for some time in the repair of cellular damage - at only one millionth of a millimetre in length these machines are easily able to penetrate a living cell. In 2366 Ensign Wesley Crusher was experimenting with forcing standard nanites to evolve on the Enterprise-D when some of his sample escaped from the containment vessel. The nanites continued to evolve, spreading through the ship's computer systems and inflicting considerable damage.
At the time the Enterprise was assisting Dr. Paul Stubbs in an important astrophysics experiment which had to take place at one specific time. When the nanite's actions threatened to prevent the experiment, Dr. Stubbs argued that they should be eliminated. Captain Picard declined, arguing that the nanites could be considered as a new life form and as such could not be killed en masse for the Federation's convenience.
Dr Stubbs attempted to force the crew's hand by irradiating one of the ship's computer cores with gamma rays to destroy the infestation. He hoped to provoke a conflict between the Enterprise crew and the nanites which would force the eradication of the machine life form. The nanites responded by launching attacks against Dr. Stubbs personally, indicating that they had developed a degree of intelligence.
Eventually the crew managed to make contact with the nanites via commander Data, and peaceful relations were established. The nanites proved to be fully sentient, highly intelligent creatures. The declined further conflict with the Federation, and the Enterprise transferred them to Kavis Alpha IV. This planet was designated as their home world.1
Board news
The last count was taken at 12:06 am. on April 16, 2006. This week’s count was taken at 11:30 am April 22, 2006. When doing the counts I leave out the board Sims for a counting of sim placement based on the fact this is how they sim. And would be unfair to the live Sims.
The total number of new postings increased from 7,341 to 7,483. For a total increase of 142 postings of the live Sims and general areas. Much better folks, but lets go for 200.

Greetings,
Registration is on the rise for the upcoming survival training course. I want to remind the Navy that they are welcomed to join us. They too, could find themselves in a position where this knowledge and these skills are needed.
I would like to remind those who are registering that I am asking for days and times that are best for you. I will use the one or ones that will prove most benifical.
A second course in basic role playing has been offered as soon as we have enough enrolled we will hold a class. Otherwise individual instruction can be given.
If you have any questions please contact me.
Sincerely,
Field Marshall Jenina Weslynes
