Ship News
As of 2/18/2006 00:00 hrs EST.
USS Expedition NCC 76227
The Expedition is currently dealing with an alien ship that has launched a defensive attack on her. The Expedition also had her missing crewmembers returned.
USS New York NCC 71868
The Romulan officers have been treated, and released back to Listening Post 23. The Maintenance shuttle still makes progress repairing the damaged Listening Post. A Klingon Bird of Prey still sits just inside the Neutral zone watching intently.
USS Aryes NCC 81204
The Aryes departed Starbase 12 enroute to the wormhole where a new species is trying to make contact. Upon arrival, they picked up a transmission, but not from the aliens they expected. Let’s wish the Ayres luck in contacting this new species.
101st Marine Pathfinders
They are on an undisclosed planet due to security issues for the Federation They found the vessel that crushed, and a few bodies. The ambassador and his team are currently missing. A Ferengi was found on the planet who claimed innocence in the whole thing. However he was the only living person found. An Orion ship landed and attacked the marines by using a mind altering drug, dispensed by a gas. Sending them into alternate realities. Each one experienced it differently the Ferengi escaped while the Marines were unable to function. The 101st had to leave the planet ASAP. After reaching escape velocity they witnessed the said planet disappear. One saw it as an explosion, another as turning into a capsule. This is a secret weapon developed and further details can not be given at this time,
USS Pegasus NCC 25347
The Pegasus was commanded by Fleet Admiral Jim Harsting. While transferring Reman prisoners over to the Starbase, they were attacked by no less then 16 Romulan Warbirds. With some great piloting, Commanding, and the power of a Starbase arsenal, the Pegasus was successful in defeating, and turning back the invading forces. Let’s hope General Weslynes won’t hurt the Admiral after she gets a load of her ship.
USS Frontier NCC 11385
The Frontier went missing for 12 weeks. Last reports had it 4 hours away from Starbase 114. It was found nearing Starbase 234 heavily damaged as suspected with its battle with the Lyrans. After making one of the most spectacular dockings this reporter ever witnessed, it was revealed the Frontier was sucked in by a space time vortex.
Heavy chronitom readings lead them to believe if they disperse them, the anomaly would breakup, but it didn’t. Instead it transported them nearly 120 Light Years to Starbase 234, in the same amount of time it would have took them if they did Warp 6.
To the Crew of the Frontier, welcome home.

The New Editor
Hello fellow Starfleet crewmembers, I am the new editor for the United Forces weekly. Marine Captain Jennifer Morgan. I was invited for this assignment, and I have gladly accepted the responsibility.
From what I’ve been told, editors are hard pressed, and I can promise you I will be reliant in my duties, and hope I can publish a weekly we all can be proud of. It was one of your members, LtJG Candela Montag, which introduced me to General Weslynes. The General is a skilled negotiator (offered me 10 credits an hour), but I think she knew she had herself a new editor.
I am a Marine Captain, hailing from the class of 2380, took journalism as my rate. I’ve served at Deep Space 5 for 4 years, and quickly moved up ranks. In 2385, I served with the 142nd infantry, and picked up a lot of skill with close combat, as well as some piloting skills, yet I was mainly a journalist. I uncovered a network of illegal arms shipment via the Orion syndicate to the Lyrans, that we were successful in putting a stop to.
I have been at Starbase 63 for the past 3 months, and I am fortunate to have this opportunity to join you all. I am Human, Female, 5’ 6”, and 135lb’s, blonde. I have no real working knowledge of Trek, but I have a wonderful teacher in the form of your Lt Vanessa Ann Lucifel. She has taught me a lot so far (Amazed that I’m writing all of this). Jennifer’s personality is pretty much a realist with a touch of compassion. She is a Marine by heart, yet a reporter to the Zenith. Always curious, and sticking her nose where it’s not wanted. She is also somewhat confrontational, and never above speaking her mind.
Captain Morgan (LOL) also has a storied love life, but currently she is single, and somewhat unapproachable. Right now her work is all she wants right now after her failed relationship in 2382.
Well that’s all I have now, and I’m sticking to it (LOL). This will also be posted in Crew Biographies. I will in the future join a SIM; right now I’m just getting in the groove as it were. So I hope to meet as many of you all at this time. I will be popping in and out of the chat room and on the board as well. So stop by, say hi, and let’s chat. Just tell me if you want it “Off the record”.

From the Desk of
Fleet General J Weslynes
Greetings:
With deepest sympathy we at the United Forces extend our support and concern to the members of the Klingon Honor Guard, at this time of such a great loss. He is a man who will never be forgotten and will always be cared for. Most of our command staff knew him as a teacher and a mentor, and that fact shall never be forgotten.
I, Rear Admiral Basal, and Admiral Taylar, all knew him as Alja and respected him highly. He guided us in the early days of being in the Klingon Honor Guard. For me, he was so very helpful in taking the time to help define me as a Klingon. I became and have since developed to a more refined state. He would help me in IM, and was always mindful of people’s feelings, as well as their desire to learn that we all shared.
I remember the first IM he sent me. It was one word: "err". I read it and was at a loss and then seeing it was from the Alja well. I responded simply "qaH"? He then took the few minutes needed to instruct me.
He had a way about him that was both impressive and somewhat overwhelming to a mere mang, or ensign. I was blessed to know him and to have him as my mentor. I just wish, in my heart of hearts, that I knew him better, and when I left it was under better terms.
He was a great man, a wonderful teacher, a valued mentor, and a trusted member of the KHG.
The Klingon in me rears her head back and let’s loose the death howl. Now the universe has been warned that a Klingon Swvvl' is on his way to Sto-Vo-Kor.
Goodbye to my mentor and guide into understanding the Klingon in me. I will never forget you.
She would like to thank all the members who attended and showed such compassion for our Klingon friends. And to the crew of the Pegasus who understood the Absence of their co Jenina Weslynes. Finally to Fleet Admiral Harsting. Who graciously stood in and took command of the Pegasus. He has told me my crew is a good crew and he was pleased to command them. Humanoid civilization. Orion’s are held in contempt by many in the Federation as pirates, cheats, and worse. In as unbiased a view as possible, the Orion’s are an extremely practical people. They are factionalized into a great many political groups, the Ral-Utak (which is alternating translated as ‘clan’ or ‘cartel’). However, while they are rivals, they freely trade and support each other, since they generally gain by doing so. In 2267, Orion operatives attempted to sabotage the Babel Conference in order to prevent Coridan, a system they regularly plundered, from being admitted into the Federation. The attempt was unsuccessful and Coridan became a Federation member.
