Ships news.
USS New York NCC 71868
The newest ship to venture under the Star Trek United Forces is the USS New York, a galaxy class. She replaces the now destroyed USS Alliance NCC 2113-A. The Alliance was lost after a gallant battle with 3 rouge Klingon Ships, now believed to be taken over by hostile forces. We have of course notified the Klingon High Command, we are waiting to hear from them.
There was an investigation of all actions taken by the then ACO Eviess Radaik. She was cleared of all charges and reinstated. In addition, she was given a promotion to Captain and now is the CO of the New York. Flt Admiral in communication with the Romulan Government learned that she was being promoted "by your native Naval fleet." It has been report that her attempt to remain emotionless at hearing this was not as successful as she hoped.
We at the United Forces wish her well and the crew of the New York as they set out on the maiden launch on Oct 4, at 10 pm est.
USS Terrasect NCC 70000
This ship once a live sim has transferred to a board sim, to allow our very busy Fleet Admiral more time and some for relaxation. The Terrasect is an orginal design of the Untied Forces, developed by our gifted Fleet Admiral. She is a state of the art ship, including a slipstream drive.
She is in need of a crew before launch can take place. This was an excellent sim before it became a board sim and will once again be as great as it was. So, spread the word to anyone you know who enjoys both Star Trek and writing and lets help get this sim off the ground.

Fleet news
The Marine division headed by Fleet General J Weslynes reports they have adopted a universal fighter to be used fleet wide. The fighter design was submitted by one of our own who developed the fighter.
We therefore thank Mark Micheals (sn ConnerMacLOED01) for his work on the fighter named "Lighting". This fills the void in the Marine division, bringing unity and harmony.
On another note, Flt General Welsynes, is still working diligently on getting the fighter pilot training program started. She hopes to have this operational soon and will keep us posted on it.
The Navy division reports a new ship has been issued and will begin her tenure on Oct 4, at 10 P.M. eastern. Fleet Adm Harsting worked hard on getting the ship ready and doing a number of upgrades. We thank his tireless efforts on behalf of the United Forces.
And finally the Navy is anxous to see the launch of the Terrasect as is the Marine division. Anyone wishing to develop a board character of knows of someone who is looking for a board sim the Terrascet is need.

Fleet wide Political Map
The United Forces now has a Political Map of all the quadrants, along with the addition of our star base and Telnoc II. We will be adding to this map as we grow and expend in our travels. You can access this map at the website and I encourage all members to take a look.
We have the following officers to thank for this wonderful addition to our website. Lt. Heath MaIc of the USS New York NCC 71868, for his tireless work on this large undertaking.
And to our very talent Flt Admrial Harsting who took the map and working with MaIc has it on the website and fixed so the entire map can be seen by quadrants. Both have done an excellent job.
Thank you so much.

Interview of the week.
Officer or enlisted will be chosen at random whoever is online at the time. This is an idea taken from our members. Sorry to say I forgot your name bad General that I am. Please step forward so I can give you the proper credit, for this idea.
Admiral Charan Taylar
Admiral Charan Taylar, DCnC fleet side, Fleet ops and personal director. Comes to us from Bajor. She was born in the Northern Provence during the Cardassian Occupation. Her family still resides on Bajor. We have been told if you need anything from Bajor her families export and import business will more then likely have it or be able to get it.
At the age of 14, she joined the underground and worked her up though the ranks to major. She was nicknamed, "The Terror", based on her activities. She doesn't speak much about them, but one can imagine what they must of been based on the nickname.
She is now married, to Rear Admiral Kenneith M Basal. They meet while they were stationed together in the RFed. They now have 2 children a little girl named Laren and a baby boy named for his father Kenneith.
Both she and her husband were transferred to the United Forces the same day we opened. They are among our original members.
She is the Co of the USS Frontier and at the moment they are investigating what happened to cause the sensors to fail in detecting a planet they are now in orbit around. It has a lot of static electicity in its atmosphere. We look forward to the results of this investigation. And any information on the planet. One hint in this there has been foul play involved. And one of the culprits caught.
Among her interest are reading, witting, music. She particularly enjoys Bajoran music and 21st century Earth music.

CMOKira
We have all been saddened by the real life death of Kira Noval. She will forever remain in our hearts and minds as one of the original members of the United Forces. She was a wonderful person first and a fantastic simmer.
To those of you who have not posted in the memorial for her but wish to so. I want to let you know that I will be copying that and sending it to her closest friend who wants the copy to send to her family. I will be doing this within the next 2 weeks.
