His decision was not the answer the commander wanted to hear. Granted, he didn't want to do it but he felt he had to. He felt Jim is a mentor, a friend, a commanding officer but one had to face facts. Jim has been captured by the enemy, a vengeful enemy at that, and there could be the possibility that he could already be killed. The Ktarnians could be waiting for them with a trap to spring, one that they could not get out of, or survive. He was not willing to take the chance
As Crio's anger grew, so did his. His ears began laying back against his head and for a few brief moment, he thought He and Crio would come to physical blows, something that would not end well for Crio.
"Jim didn't like the fact that I can't sit on my hands for long and do nothing, either... However, I can tell you that this is one time when he is counting on someone to come to his rescue!" The commander retorted back, still attempting to control his emotions. When he could not, he stormed out of his office. Before he left, Grab foot responded to Crio's back "One cannot be rescued if one is already dead! You are not seeing that possibility, or not wanting to see it."
After the commander left to cool his temper, he shook his head, expelling breath, something similar to a humanoid sigh. "Temper, Temper, Commander." He said a few moments after his exit..
With that, he left the commander's office, back onto the bridge. He glanced around, gauging anyone's reaction to the Commander's rather heated departure

It wasn't unusual for Commander Ijoula to meet privately with the captain however, Thelis had noticed more than the usual number happening of late. The first officer had seemed more agitated recently, also. That was something unusual for the normally easy going Trill. A disagreement between them, perhaps?
This meeting had concluded with the rather agitated exit of the commander. Thelis however, kept this observation to himself. Whatever has caused his sour mood, Thelis didn't want it turned on himself.

Many of the crew forgot about him and his department unless they were needed, this was one of those times so he sat in his offices milling over paperwork. Maintenance crews were assigned to regular routines through out the ship. It was nice to have a few minutes to ones self he thought as he took a sip from his coffee cup.

She had glanced back towards him wondering if she should be concerned about him. She was not sure but she felt something was wrong. She turned back towards the other engineers. "All right since we are in quiet slow spot lets get some drills going and see if we could get things going faster. Every second counts when we are getting power to where it is needed in combat."

It was no easy task to get him angry, but when it was on a subject that he was rather passionate about, it seemed easier to provoke him. He made his way to the holodeck, having a need to vent his feelings before they could fester. As he approached the console, he was already removing his uniform jacket.
"Computer, load Ijoula Calisthenics program Alpha-Two. Wrestling mode." he said, fighting to control his tone, which is unusual for him.
When the doors opened, he stepped in, facing a gymnasium with several large wrestling mats. Stepping forward, he also takes off his uniform vest.
"Welcome back, Crio. Back for more punishment?" came a familiar voice from in the bleachers.
Crio looked toward the voice and frowned. "Who said anything about taking more 'punishment', Malik. I'm looking to dish some out." He glared at the Academy wrestling coach who had worked with him to deal with bully problems while he was a cadet.
Malik smiled as he came down the bleachers to the main gym floor. "Something's eating you, and I bet you'd rather work it out on the mat instead of talk about it?" After getting a stern look from Crio, he shook his head slowly and grabbed the protective helmets for them both. "Alright...Let's see what you've picked up since our last sparring match. Maybe you'll get the courage to speak up rather than beat someone up to get it off your chest." he said, trying to provoke Crio further, and tossed him a padded helmet, putting one on himself.
The look on Crio's face was hardening more as he put the helmet on. "Watch your tone, Malik..." he warned and got into a low stance to prepare for the sparring match.

He turned his attention to Helm, giving the canine officer his next instructions. "Slow to Half-Impulse." before turning and taking a seat in the command seat, normally pretty comfortable but has became very uncomfortable as of late.
An hour passed and still he had yet to hear Ijoula's departure plans or his readiness to depart. A quick computer search listed his location as in the Holodeck. His whiskers twitched in annoyance "So much for his urgency in attempting to find Jim" he muttered to himself
He then tapped a key on the control arm of the command chair, opening a comm link to Engineering. "Bridge to Engineering. I want the Galileo class shuttle fitted with Phaser weapons and torpedo launch tubes along with the aforementioned weapons for said systems for a long range, and possibly long term, Away team search mission. You have 2 hours." He then tapped the comm closed

After almost a full hour, he had finally worked his frustration out of his system to be able to approach the matter of finding Jim without being ready to snap at anyone. He ended the program and went to his quarters to get cleaned up and put together a mission plan.
"Ijoula to Engineering, I'm looking to have a heavily armed Galileo-class shuttle ready to go with a full array of weapons and outfitted with ablative shielding."
Having brought that together to what he wants, he gets into a clean uniform and brings his plan to the bridge. Stepping out onto the bridge, he comes around the bridge railing to the center of the bridge, and hands a PADD to the captain. "Mission plan."
He seemed far calmer now than he was an hour ago when he stormed out of his office and from the bridge.
---------- The mission report objectives read as follows:
Objective 1: Outfit a Galileo-class shuttle with heavy weapons and ablative shielding.
Objective 2: Select a team of volunteers for the mission.
Objective 3: Search for the ship that abducted Captain Harsting, beginning the search from the Sol system and proceeding from there.
Objective 4: Upon locating the vessel, find a way to disable the ship and retrieve Captain Harsting, preferably alive.
Objective 5: Signal Terrasect for rendevous.

He heard the TL doors open, the only indication that he let it come to his attention is his left ear tilted in that direction. As the commander came around the bridge railing, his scent reached his felinoid nose. Seems he had calmed down and perhaps considered his plan of action. Good, he thought. He would hate to have to cuff the commander, and not just verbally, especially after everything they had shared together, the missions they experianced together. Of course, he would if the situation warranted it. He looked up at the commander as he handed him a padd, indicating his mission plan
He read what the commander had listed, then made a showing of studying each item listed. He then handed back the padd, commenting "Looks to me like you path is clear, commander. Good luck. May your journey be smooth and your safe return swift. You may depart when your choice of volunteers and the shuttle is ready"

She had just finished her report on the drills that were done and hears her combadge going off. She taps it but saw the Chief walk out of his office. As if she was expecting him to ask for a report on the drills she walks up to him and hands it over to him. "The report on the drills performed Sir."

Her ears flatten and her tail lowers. "Two hours Sir?" Shaking her head. "Two days maybe but not two hours."

He would sit back down at his spot, and press his commbadge, having remembered the class of shuttle he mentioned before, and was reasonably sure it would be a very long undertaking to outfit a Galileo-class shuttle with weapons and the ablative shielding systems.
"Ijoula to Chief Latamn. If it would speed things up any, do the modifications on one of our current heavy combat-capable shuttles, such as a Delta-class."
((Note: For the curious, a Delta-class shuttle is based on the Delta Flyer shuttlecraft from Star Trek: Voyager))

Location> Main Shuttle Bay
Her tail looped and her ears purked up. "Thank you Sir and I will get right on it." While she was leaving she rubbed her paw under his chin. She sat down at Shuttle's Helm running dianostic tests. She wanted to make sure the upgrades worked and the ship was ready for combat.
