Having finished his business regarding a certain officer, it was not Addison's turn to face a superior. He hadn't been to Starbase Victor before, but it was similar to most Imperial stations in some ways. Large gun placements outside and inside. Security sensors in large view. The Imperial philosophy was never to imply force, but to show it at every chance. The 'globe and dagger' symbols were prominent in both the walls and architecture. He was going to meet Commodore Simon Von Doring. As he got closer to the Commodore's office he began to go through and array of tighter security measures. First, was the beginning of the inhibitor fields. They were meant to block telepathic signals. They were so strong that though he was not an 'Esper', Addison could feel a slight head tremor. The next was weapons scanners. Daggers were accepted in most parts ship, but no one could have a weapon in this area; with the exception of the Commodore's personal guard. Lastly was fingerprint and retinal scans to make sure you had the clearance to be in the restricted area. Each area was color coded on both the deck and bulkheads.Blue for the first area, yellow for the second and the last area was coded red. It was much to walk through, but Von Doring was the head of ImperialNaval intelligence. This station was his small kingdom. Addison knew it and treated his visit as such. The door opened before he got close. Apparently the proximity alerts had a wider range here also.
He entered the office and, it was far larger than his. He walked briskly across to the main desk. Von Doring was a big man. They knew each other in academy. Addison was behind him by a two years. "Hello Addy," Von Doring smiled with a cunning grin. "It was a name he used at the academy when he hazed Addison. "Sir," Addison saluted him, but bit back the anger of such sophomoric tactics.
To describe Simon Von Doring was to describe a giant, not just in size. He stood about 6'7" tall. His hands were huge and seemed to engulf anything he picked up. He was also extremely intelligent and what he lost in brains he made up for in cunning. He was acutely suited for his post in Imperial Intelligence, and he got through the ranks quickly. "As the nearest ranking officer, I'm supposed to do an inquiry on this incident with your XO." He stood with a very serious gaze. "How many blade cuts did it take you?"
'Oh, I could have killed him but I wanted him to linger." He answered. "It would have taken longer had his former lover not finished the job."
"Good man," The commodore smiled. "Slow and painful, just like we were taught. Okay, inquiry over. " He slapped the deck and caused it to rattle. "Have a seat Jeff," He said with more business-like demeanor.
Addison sat down. He found the chair almost as comfortable as his Captain's chair . He could only imagine what Von Doring's chair felt like. It was obvious he was enjoying it though. "I've read your report on Risa with great interest. "
"I knew it wasn't just a 'play and kill' mission." Addison nodded.
"You are most decidedly correct." He confirmed. "There are rumblings that some of the member worlds are trying to stir up a full resistance force."
"And what member world would be that stupid?" He quipped.
"You'd be surprised." Simon gave him a grim look.
"Yes," Addison agreed. "There have always been 'hardliners' who feel the only pure Humans should rule.""[/font]
"Well, the new Emperor is staring to listen. " He explained. "There is a great deal to what went on in Risa. Losing the pleasure planet would have driven a blow to the Imperial economy. If the economy goes the Emperor will lose the people just as Bashir had."
"So where are we now?" Addison asked now concerned. "Are we to go against all of his father's ideals?"
"No, not all of them." He cautioned. "Right now he needs to find out who his friends are, and to that end the Emperor has tasked me an important job."
"Okay," He said feeling it was obvious he wanted to tell him what this job was.
"I'm to create a special branch of Intelligence." He said quietly. I'm creating a small group that will be above Admirals, Captains even Senators. They will have a special badge and answer only to the Emperor and myself. We are in a situation where trust is paramount to success so only the most loyal and the strongest will be asked. I'm asking you to be the first."
To be continued.........

She made her way to Sloan's quarters the two guards at the door and stepped aside letting her in.
She looks around after the door closes she walks to a dresser and picks up a dress/ceremonial dagger, she examines the dagger it had a gold hilt and tip of the handle and it had embellishment "this something like a mameluke"she says with a smile.
She liked blade weapons and had a nice collection of her own of daggers and swords as well as a few other pieces she puts the dagger back in its holder and she searches for any hiding spots, after a couple hours, she finds nothing else "He either had nothing here or the Captain already cleaned it out" she laughed and exits.
She calls a crew to come clean the quarters so they are ready for the XO should they want this quarter, and heads to her quarters, were she adds the dagger to her collection.
