Yes sir, Rekkhai. He said anxiously. If I would request a private audience.

He heard the anxiousness in his tone and his brow lifted ever so slightlyHe began to wonder what would agitate him so much to request a private audience? He would soon see.
He turned to the Gonai-saehnae "Au have the Oria until I return or the Riov."
"Ie, Rekkai" He heard, before turning and heading for his own office, expecting Renn to follow

He didn't even realize it, but he went to the conference room instinctively without waiting for the Sub-commander. He looked at the imaging device and began to make an effort to compose himself.

Seeing Renn going ahead of him, and not to his office, but instead to the conferance room, he simply changed directions and moved into the conferance room. When the doors shut behind them, he turned to face the agitated saehnae and waited for him to speak what was troubling him

Rekkhai, He spoke without pretense. I feel we have a problem with the Riov. She has rerouted the colonist, that seemed suspicious. I have also been ordered to release them from stasis. Alone I don't know if there is an issue, but I thought I should make you aware.

Sweaty and stained with coolant, Quol finally hauls himself out of the QS drive's sub-chamber. He checks the time to realize he had been in there nearly three hours.
It was curious, most species did not enjoy cramped spaces. The chief engineer often hypothesized it was because most planets were open to the sky and the sun, and those species that lived there evolved in the open air. On Ferenginnar it was constantly raining, and no one remained in the open for long, unless they were looking for a horrible case of the Ferengi Flu. His people had always been cave dwellers and grub eaters... Perhaps that was why he found the cramped chamber of the engine drive so comforting.
Upon exiting the compartment he found a discarded pad near his feet. It was obvious that a report had been filed by his assistant engineer and the centurion was satisfied to merely leave it lying on the ground for him to find... another inside joke among the Romulan engineering crew, They believed it was better to place items on the ground so that they may be "eye-level" with their chief engineer...
Quol picked up the report and read it before activating his com to the bridge. Tactical this is main engineering... Sub-centurion, those upgrades you requested are completed and functional.

She heard her com badge beep, and then the Ceng.
"Excellent work and well within the time frame. I will make sure your willing participation is noted in my report to High Command." her response was genuine in her praise. And for her it was praise, something she probably would not have done for a Rihannsu who would not have expected it.
She then made her report and went over to Rhea to send it to High Command, she then send a copy to the Riov, and erei'Riov.

Rhea nodded as the tactical officer walked back to her station. She read it to know exactly who, where and if the report was complete. These were the things she never paid any attention finding it easier to forget it.
Send made a few corrections and then sent it out it read as follows:
To EnRiov us'Terik High Command Khien Neral Tel'shair
The upgrades have been completed on the Dhivael, before the deadline by 3 days. This could not have been accomplished without the complete compliance of Arrain Quol.

She sent a copy to the Riov and erei'Riov

She received the combined reports from both Tactical and the Diplomatic officer and smiled.
She had never doubted that she had made the correct decision in promoting Quol. The Operations officer had been performing well also. It seemed that when a Federation Officer was assigned to and subjected to the disciplined routine of a Rihannsu ship, they were more than capable of accomplishing their duties in an outstanding manner.

sorry for not posting..
His brow rose slightly as Renn proposed a problem with the Riov, his interest focusing on the baj'orann saehnae a little more. He listened to him and when he finished, he thought for a moment "If you could give me just cause to release the colonists then I will support that order. Until then, I say au should leave them in stasis so they do not cause anymore trouble. I will speak to the Riov myself about her current behavior." He paused for his response

Ie Rekkhai, He bowed. I shall further investigate the matter as per her orders. He left assuming he had been dismissed.

He simply observed as Renn left then left himself, moving back onto the Oria. He glanced around at the saehne-a doing their prospective duties then crossed over, ringing the chime to the Riov's ready room to announce his visit

"Enter!" She said lightly as she finished up a second cup of tea. She then stood and brushed several crumbs from the pastry she had eaten from her tunic, but did not return to her desk, despite the growing number of reports and requests received.

The following file was transferred to both the Khrein and the Subcommander
Tal’Shiar Intelligence
This intelligence file was written twenty years ago by a young Uhlan in training. He was the only surviving participant in the program code named: Mind Hunter. The program was ended and all reports pertaining to it destroyed with the exception of this entry that was part of the Uhlan’s personal log which we believe was just a draft or another report.
(Message Encrypted)
After my experience with the alien species known as the Iruhe, I have drawn the conclusion that they are the biggest threat to the Empire by far. These are beings of immense power, and an insatiable hunger. I was their prisoner for over a year, and was used as both a plaything and as nourishment. They feed off of the life energies of a being, but they are drawn to those of special ability. The ones I speak of are those who possess any mind based abilities. Telepathic, Telekinetic, remote viewing, the list can go on, but these beings are drawn to that energy like a moth to flame.
Once they have you in their grasp they harness your mental abilities and use them against you. It is a form of torture so effective I have been tasked to teach it to other Tal’Shiar ‘specials’. They control your senses. Imagine not having a sense of not just the basic senses, but a lack of a sense of time or what is real and what is not. If they were allowed near any more of our ‘specials’ the result could end the Empire itself. No one would know who was possessed and who wasn’t. If this Uhlan has any influence, I would strongly suggest further contact not only be abolished, but to approach these beings should be punishable by death.
End Log.
(End Encryption)
It is not clear whether this suggestion was taken, but the Mind Hunter files and materials have all been destroyed, and the status of Uhlan named Mandukar that wrote this report is also unknown.
End Transmission.

She received the message and read it in full. Then sitting back in her chair for a minute she shook her head. Standing she walked to the VP, hands clasped behind her back looking out and thinking of the surrounding events of that transmission. Only a handful knew of its existence.
