"McKenzie knock it off." she looked at the Ferengi "There is no need for insults. I suggest we all put our personal feelings to the side. McKenzie you and I have orders. Remember. To work with them not debate."
She looked at the other Bajoran, "Whos in charge of your AT?"

He was about to answer the Ferengi when Inid told him to knock it off. He was about to protest but he decided on just giving her a glare. he didnt think the Ferengi was insulting him but he didnt say anything
He wasn't debating either. He was just trying to clear up a misunderstanding. Perhaps make a new friend, even a Ferengi one

Ignoring the exchange, Lyretha moved a few feet away from the others, and scanned the immediate area. It was no wonder that tensions ran high among them. The ship was eerily devoid of any sound as if the bulkheads smothered it. The light also was a ghostly green. It made it difficult to see clearly more than a few feet ahead. Quol said something about dabo and she thought she heard a groan from the adjoining corridor. The metal of the ship shifting no doubt. The Human, MacKenzie, replied but she didn't hear what he said. She had heard another groan and started in the direction she thought it had come from. Iurret! (Silence!) She hissed, interrupting them. She slid her disputor out of it's holster. Something was here and she wasn't going to give it the chance to truly ambush them while they argued. She motioned the rest to follow.

Suddenly conscious again of their surroundings and his duty, after the call for silence from the security chief, Quol turned to follow the Romulan's gaze. He returned his attention back to his own ssaith and walked after her, catching for the first time what might have been a groan.
The readings he was getting were garbled at best, no matter how many times he tried to adjust the scanning tool.

He noticed the romulan female move off as he spoke to the Ferengi but fell silent when Inid told him to shut up
He turned to the Romulan female as she hissed something. He didnt understand but it sounded oddly like silence, then saw her motion for the rest of the ATs to follow
He took his own tricorder out and started scanning, but not getting much. He also took his phaser out this time, so he isn't surprised

She could hear without turning that the rest had understood her intent and were now following her lead. Whatever it was, kept sounding farther and farther from them. Was it leading them toward something or into something? She kept up a continuous scan, widening it. There was considerable interference. She shook the tricorder. Fvadt Lloannen'galae etrehh! (Darn, Federation machine)
There was something unusual about this ship. It was clearly Borg design but it was a sphere. She had never before heard of them using anything but a cube. She continued following the energy reading, it seemed to be moving toward the center on the ship where, if the readings were correct, engineering was located.
There was a flash of green light ahead and moments later, a ball of energy flew through the corridor. It narrowly missed her and her skin crackled with the residual energy. It found it's mark however, in Quol.

He followed the romulan woman quietly down the corridor that she was trying to find something What, he didn't know. He ketp glancing down at his tricorder but all he got was static and interferance. He frowned, shaking his head "Even in the 24th century, things don't work" he thought to himself
He glanced up to the romulan woman and saw her shaking her own tricorder, muttering an oath. From the sound of things. she wasn't fairing any better.. He glanced toward Inid, keeping his phaser in his other hand
Suddenly there was a flash of green-ish like and what looked like a ball of energy flew threw the corridor. He let out a surprised yelp and instinctively ducked. He felt the electric tingle over his head, hair and back as it passed over . He tried to catch some readings from the tricorder as it passed then turned to see where it went
Apparently, the Ferengi wasn't so lucky in getting out of it's way

Qoul followed the group down the corridor. That fact that his Romulan tricorder was functioning below peak proficiency irked him to no end. He had studied the Borg during his time in the academy at Regulus. Typically spheres are used as scout ships. It makes little sense that a Borg scout ship would be out so far without any type of accompanying cube...
He looked up as he heard a crackle, like electricity. An orb of pure energy came hurtling straight toward him. In his panic Quol forgot to get out of its way and it impacted him full in the chest. He felt the surge of energy as it passed through him and kept going. The object dissipated a few feet after passing through the Ferengi.
Quol on the other hand was knocked off his feet by the impact. He landed on the hard metal floor with a sickening thud. His ssaith clattered to the ground and skidded away from his open hand. The last thing the Ferengi saw before the blackness overtook him was the dimly lit corridor ceiling. Then everything was gone and Quol passed into darkness.

As always Reha was more of a observer, she stood slightly back from the others. To this was a rare opportunity to actually be on an AT with Federation officers. So far she wasn't sure what to make of them.
The male was clearly lower in rank but he was ah, uninformed at best, and a waste at worse. The female was holding him in check, and was a job in itself. What is the purpose to this?
Even the Federation is not stupid enough to have officers this uninformed. It must be some sort of ruse to lull us into a sort of false security. Well it would take more then this to accomplish that.
She had her disruptor drawn and was following t'Stellam. When Quol was hit by the energy source she went over to him. She was trained as a field medic and could give first aid if needed. But anything more then that would have to be seen by the doctor.
She ran the tricorder over him and started to do read the data.

The orb hung in front of her eyes. She blinked the afterimage away and turned to see where it had gone. Quol lay sprawled in the corridor. Dead or merely unconscious? The orb was nowhere to be seen. She watched as Khev immediately responded, scanning the Ferengi.
Lyretha watched closely for a few moments, and could see Quol's chest move. He was still breathing. Allowing Reha to diagnose and make any necessary treatment of the engineer, she turned her attention back to her own readings. There had been an energy spike a second or two before the orb had appeared but the direction that it had come must be incorrect. Her scans indicated that it had passed directly through the bulkheads of the ship.
"What is his condition?", she asked as the diplomatic officer seemed to have completed her scans.

She of course knew what was happening via Khev's com. A ball of energy hitting the engineer. Interesting. This would require watching. Since there was no problems in engineering concerning scans it probably was an automatic defense system. Although, she wondered if engineering was doing a double check to ensure scans were functioning properly.

"Rhuissa. (Excellent) The engineer was going to recover. The energy ball could not be intended as a weapon. It's force was only enough to temporarily incapacitate. Had this ship had a full complement of Borg drones however, it might be all that was necessary until they arrived to secure the area. She held out her hopes that this was nothing more than an anomaly and no more of them would be encountered.
She waited until Quol had recovered enough to walk and then started again toward what she believed was engineering. There was some strange energy in this section that made the small hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. It was if, she thought, she had walked into an area where lighting had just stuck.
In the green gloom some feet ahead, something jutted out of the wall and into the corridor, nearly blocking their passage. She scanned as she came close to it. It was rock. This might have been a place where the ship had impacted the planet, a shard of it being pushed into the heart of the ship like a giant stone dagger. Dhat. (No) There was something not right about it. It had not been pushed there, it seemed the ship had grown around it. There was no jagged edge. The metal had not been rent in any way. The two were..merged or more correctly, phased together. The small hairs prickled a warning again. The stakes in this game had just been raised.
