::walks in and salutes the General::"General I suggest that the Marines in the UF be taught to use our technology in combat.I am saying I have seen Marines in the Uf not use technology that fits our time but rather 21st Century or worse.I understand using a ballistic pistol in case of Borg. But I have seen everything from throwing stars to bayonets.Phaser rifles and photon grenades are more up to our speed.Knifes and swords are still used that I understand. They can never be replaced. This is just my opinion.I have submitted several Ideas to Admiral Harsting since he is the gadget wizard so maybe that can help.::Salutes and exits.::

((this is my second attempt to put this in a form that is understandable and not accidentally insult someone.I like playing in the STUF!!!However..I don't think the players understand Fraternization as well as they should.I read some posts..here's some examples...colonel engaged to ensign..nope,not gonna happen.Field Marshal marries Lieutenant...not even a possibility..ever.Does everyone truly understand what a Field Marshal is?In the real world most people have never seen a 2 star, never mind a 4 star..yes I know this is simming, but my point is this. For all you star fleet folks, when an Admiral or a general enters the room..everyone under the rank of Lt.Colonel or the Navy equivalent should be fighting the urge to mess themselves.Thats the kind of clout they carry, and YES it does matter!A 2 star can make or break your career.I wont even mention the Filed Marshal or her Navy counterpart. No one under the rank of flag officer should even dare to breath..seriously.They are the Top of the ladder. No scenes where the PFC is drinking with the Major..doesn't happen. The rule is 1 above and 2 below.Thats the rank you can freely socialize with.I don't say any of this to be a jerk, i just think that if a person is a Major,it should be seen as an important thing.I don't know if that is really the case right now.For instance..Major Mopak is my Pvt.Nivar's X.O....she shouldn't even know my name except for when she is giving orders..why?Because I don;t have any right to be near a major on a day to day basis..for anything. Strangely enough,Lt's are excluded from this rule when it comes to socializing with higher ranked non coms..ssgt and above are ok.Being an officer is a heavy duty and they get the perks to make up for some of that.I think it should be made more obvious and the way to do that is to treat officers like officers. They make huge sacrifices socially and professionally to be officers,we ought respect what they've earned...hope this isn't offensive to anyone.Like I said I love to run with the STUF gang!!..Pathfinders Rule!!..Pvt.Nivar,Christian...Starfleet Marines

as a second thought to my previous post...the officer issue should make the need for many many more enlisted players quite obvious. It's hard to think of a Captain leading 2 Lt's and 3 warrant officers into a hot lz...being enlisted is a privilege as well so don't turn your nose up at the chance to be a segeant..thats where all the real work gets done!!! thanks for listening.
