Collins is working at a console in Stellar Cartography. The ship has been in the Bassen Rift for nearly a day now and still no sign of theta-xenon or sirillium in any of the gaseous surveys that his team had completed.
He pulls himself away from the console to gaze up at the large moving image covering the wall in front of him. He watches the real time recording of the nebula gases as they swirl through the image. As he watches he begins to pick out patterns and pictures. It was something he did as a child staring up at the daytime sky. He smiled remembering home. this new ship was so different... so far away...

Tarkel enters the mapping room his desert uniforms white streaks trailing behind his large framework lumbering over to the wall consiles monitering the movement of debris.. satellites and near objects that might interrupt tier flight path... mapping the course ahead charting the star systems they might be entering and the things that they could encounter along the way. He remained quiet as he worked eyes glancing around to study the charts and diagrams infront of him in detail.
