LtCmdr Ijoula and Colonel Dean,
"Praetor's proudest and finest flagship is correct."
Colonel Dean receives the point for correctly naming both planets however.
Perhaps a tour of duty on a Rihannsu Warbird might assist you in your education lieutenant commander? ::Sly smile::

Ravin, you're right on the names of the officers. However, what department were they both serving in?
As for the name of that metallic substance, the correct spelling is rodinium, however, very nicely done... I'll be honest, I wasn't sure anyone would get that one. I reached for one that I thought was an expert-level question, meaning a very high difficulty rating. Excellent work on that.
Now, to answer our Romulan's viewpoint on this episode...
The two worlds are Romulus and Remus as spoken, however, and I had to double-check the image in the episode to be 100% sure... The designation for Remus is Romii.
Would you be referring to the remark of one of the officers who referred to their bird-of-prey as the "Praetor's finest and proudest flagship"? That was mentioned by Decius. Oops they were on the Phaser crew.

I got a TNG question for y'all, and brace yourselves, because it's an expert-level (very high difficulty) question.
"Cause and Effect"
This episode can be thought of as Star Trek TNG meets Groundhog Day.
=/\= During the first three poker games seen in the episode, tell me the face-up cards dealt to the players. Start from Commander Riker and work your way around the table.
Bonus: How observant were you with this episode?
=/\= For the final poker game of the episode, tell me the three-of-a-kinds that everyone had.

Y'all can still go for the above TNG trivia question. However, I wanted to add something here.
On December 18th, the world lost the "first lady of Star Trek," otherwise known as Majel Barrett Roddenberry. From what I've read at www.roddenberry.com, she died in her sleep alittle after midnight, at her home.
Although I could have turned this into a trivia question, I won't out of respect.. Her introduction on Star Trek was in the form of playing the female character called Number One in the first Original Series pilot episode "The Cage". Afterward, she went on to play Nurse Christine Chapel throughout the Original Series as well as in the feature films Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. She also interestingly lent her voice to be for the computer on the Enterprise during the Original Series, although that was not easy to tell.
In the animated Star Trek series, Majel Barrett Roddenberry not only did the voice of her Sick Bay character of Nurse Chapel, but also portrayed a wide variety of other female characters. I believe that she also did the voice of the Enterprise computer, at least in the episode "The Practical Joker", and perhaps others.
Perhaps more recognizable, she played Betazoid Ambassador Lwaxana Troi, the rather outspoken and sometimes overbearing mother of Enterprise-D counselor Deanna Troi, in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation as well as in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Her voice can also be heard as the Federation computer voice in an overwhelming majority of The Next Generation episodes and in all episodes of Deep Space Nine and Voyager.
In the ENTERPRISE episode "In a Mirror, Darkly" Part 2, viewers heard her as the computer voice of the Constitution-class USS Defiant.
She also was the voice of the Enterprise computer in the motion pictures Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection, and Star Trek: Nemesis.
Star Trek game fans got to hear her voice for the Federation computer for the Star Trek TNG Interactive Technical Manual, as well as for the game Star Trek: The Next Generation - A Final Unity. Her voice can also be heard in the virtual tour program called Star Trek: Captain's Chair. I want to think there are other game credits, but I could be wrong.
One other credit that I can think of at the moment is at least one appearance in the Gene Roddenberry series called "Earth: Final Conflict".
Star Trek fans will get the chance to hear her voice again as the Federation computer in the upcoming J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek movie, due out in theaters in May of 2009.

Thank you for posting that. This is a tragic loss to Star Trek. When I forst heard the news last week, I made this banner to honor her. It had been sent out in an Email but for those who did not see it, I'd like to pay homage here, if you don't mind. I'd also like to add that Majel Barrett Roddenberry did a total of 13 characters for ST:TAS.

This is a repeat of perhaps my hardest trivia question yet.

=/\= During the first three poker games seen in the episode, tell me the face-up cards dealt to the players. Start from Commander Riker and work your way around the table. If it helps any, the players were Commander Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Doctor Crusher, and Commander Data.
In the very first poker game, there was a 4th face-up card. Tell me what that extra card was, if you remember.
Bonus: How observant were you with this episode?
=/\= For the final poker game of the episode, tell me the three-of-a-kinds that everyone had.

Okay. I get the hint. The above "Cause and Effect" question was WAAAAAY too hard. I'll pull out something easier for now.
"Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan"
Released in 1982, Star Trek 2 brought back the villain known as Khan Noonien Singh. I will give you folks multiple questions here based on the movie.
**Update information: This trivia on Star Trek 2 is also in tribute to actor Ricardo Montalban, who portrayed Khan Noonien Singh in "Space Seed" (TOS) and reprised the role for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. He died on January 14, 2009 at age 88.**

"May I quote General Order Twelve..."
"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Mister Sulu, you may indulge yourself."
"Perhaps you're right. What is Mister Scott's condition?"
"You said it yourself; it's a bang that could rearrange the universe."
"Where's the override?!? The override?!?"
"We are one big, happy fleet."
"Not enough against their shields."
"I'm proud... very proud... to be your son."
"Let's find out how badly we've been hurt."
Enjoy!

I waited this long to respond, because I was holding out hope that more would attempt this set of trivia...
My latest trivia came from the feature film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Below are the correct answers.
I must give credit though to Mr. DeLaCroix for getting so many of them correct.
------------------------------------------------
=/\= Admiral Kirk gets three notable birthday gifts from two of his closest friends in this movie. What were these gifts, and who gave which gift to Kirk.
From Captain Spock: "A Tale of Two Cities" How this can be told is because Admiral Kirk reads some of the opening words, which say "It was the best of times; it was the worst of times."
From Dr. McCoy: Romulan Ale and a pair of glasses. When reminded that Romulan ale is illegal, he explains that he "only uses it for medicinal purposes," and that he has a boarder ship that brings him some every once in a while.
As for the glasses, he explains that he would normally administer an eye treatment called Retinax-5 for patients that are Kirk's age, which Kirk happens to be allergic to.
=/\= During the first battle with the USS Reliant, Admiral Kirk decides to use a never-before-seen tactic to give the Enterprise an edge by ordering the Reliant's shields to be lowered. In order to accomplish this, he needed the Reliant's command prefix code. Tell me that code.
Reliant's prefix code is 1-6-3-0-9. We are also reminded that each ship has its own unique combination.
=/\= In the novel and the Director's Edition DVD release of this movie, there is an extra scene that was omitted from the video release of this movie that established what relationship between Chief Engineer Montgomery "Scotty" Scott and Midshipman Peter Preston?
In the scene that I was referring to, Scotty identifies Preston as "my sister's youngest," and that he was crazy about getting into space. That makes him Scotty's nephew.
=/\= After giving his analysis of the Regula planetoid, what additional descriptive remark did Spock give?
Spock refers to Regula as being unremarkable, "a great rock in space."
=/\= Just before entering the Mutara Nebula, Scotty described the main energizers as "bypassed like" what?
A Christmas tree is correct. Scotty> "The energizer's bypassed like a Christmas tree, so dinna give me too many bumps."
=/\= Once armed, how long until the Genesis device detonates?
David Marcus> Encoded: four minutes. Sorry, Ravin. You were close, though, on this one.
=/\= Although it wasn't really established in the dialog, Khan refers to "my beloved wife." To whom was he referring to?
I wasn't sure anyone would get this one right, but Ravin, you did. The book made reference to Lieutenant Marla McGivers as being Khan's wife.
QUOTES: Tell me who said these.
"He stayed at his post... when the trainees ran." --- Scotty
"May I quote General Order Twelve..." --- Saavik
"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" --- Kirk
"Mister Sulu, you may indulge yourself." --- Spock
"Perhaps you're right. What is Mister Scott's condition?" --- Spock
"You said it yourself; it's a bang that could rearrange the universe." --- Kirk, in a deleted Sick Bay scene on the Director's Edition DVD
"Where's the override?!? The override?!?" --- Khan
"We are one big, happy fleet." --- Khan
"Not enough against their shields." --- Spock
"I'm proud... very proud... to be your son." --- David Marcus
"Let's find out how badly we've been hurt." --- Kirk
------------------------
I only saw maybe two or three missed, but overall, very nicely done.
From now on, I think I'll not go quite so gung-ho with giving a motherload of questions in one shot. I had hoped to get people to at least try just a few of them, though.
------------------------
New trivia is from the feature film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
=/\= What are the names of the two humpback whales?
=/\= What material is used to make the see-through portion of the makeshift aquarium on the bird-of-prey?
=/\= According to Dr. GIllian Taylor, how much do the humpback whales weigh?
BONUS: This question goes with the previous one about weight. =/\= Factoring in the weight of the whales and the amount of water for the makeshift aquarium tank on the Klingon bird-of-prey, how much does Scotty say he'll be beaming up, something he's never done before?
Enjoy![/b]

My favorite Trek movie, by far!
1) George and Gracie
2) Transparent aluminum (Hello, Computer!)
3) 45,000 lbs
Bonus) I'll let someone else answer, I don't have time to get the movie out and watch for it.
