She takes her cermonial necca and places it against Liorda's forhead. She then turns and takes the sash and rank insigna from the first officer Saren Zareth. She hands it to Liorda who raised her head after the necca was placed on her forhead.
"Riov Liordra t'Takar, do you now pledge: to perform your new duties honorably and well, to loyally obey your Superiour officers and your Praetor, to serve your Empire first and always, and to uphold the honor of the Rihannsu (Romulan) people in all things?"

She accepted the insignia and then raised her voice speaking clearly so that everyone in the hall could hear her.
"By Fire and by Air, by Earth and by Water, and by the Archelement which encompasses them all, I do so pledge."

"Then may your new rank bring great deeds and glory to yourself and to the Empire."
She takes her necca and sheaths it, placing it on the table. Then looks at the crew assembled, and she prepared to dissmiss them.

Lyretha had stayed at her station a little longer than she knew she should have. Those who were not needed to run the ship had been ordered to attend the ceremony and she knew she risked a great deal for those for those few extra siuren a (minutes). Technically the replacement officers were capable and competent enough to stand in the interim but with all the other oira officers already at the assembly, she felt the need to make sure everything was is order before she too left. She was in the final process of locking Dheno (Security) down when her panel's proximity alarm went off. She froze. It could not be a malfunction, these systems had been checked more thoroughly than even regulation required. She activated the screen. Two ships were seen on the edge of entering the Nexus, and then they were gone. If she had not been there to see it she would have been skeptical of both the alarm and the reading. She had the computer check for ship identification. Breen! Lyretha wasted no more time in notifying the Commander.
"Leih. Two Breen ships on long range seen entering the Nexus. I have their point of entry but am unable to track them."

She made a slight bow to t'Vlack. "Please pardon me Lhhei (Ma'am)", then she opened a comm "Condition Red. All personnel report to stations!" She was singlemindedly focused on the breach. How had the Breen ships appeared so suddenly? What were they seeking? Until shown otherwise, she had to assume that they were for the same reason Dhivael was, to investigate the Nexus. Now however, they no longer had the opportunity and luxury to explore at their own pace. She reached the oira and only realized how she must appear when she saw t'Stellam's stricken expression. She calmed herself. "Set course for the Breen ships' entry point. Continuous readings. They must have left a trail and we must locate it."

As he stood in place, he watched the promoton ceremony of the Leih to Riov with interest. Just as the ceremony concluded, he heard the Riov's communicator chirp and an urgent call from the bridge was heard
He didnt hear all of what was said, but by the bodily movements of the Riov, he knew it wasn't good. A moment later, her command came forth "Condition Red. All Personnel report to your stations"
He relaxed out of his stance for only a moment before turning and hastily making his way to the bridge
He made it to the bridge just as the Riov did and he heard her second command "Set Course for the Breen's entry point. Locate their trail"
"Le, Rekkai" His fingers flew over his control panel, searching for the breen's Ion and warp trail and also waiting for the entry coordinates from Dheno

As the Leih became the new Riov and the ceremony looked to be over, he started reaching for his necca so that he can present it to his new Riov, to pledge his loyalty, his service and his life to her and the Dhivael in the name of the Romulan Empire and the Four Elements, but his hand froze when the call came from the Dheno'Saehne ( Security Officer ) on the Oria. He noted her lack of attendance of the ceremony and he made a mental note to speak with the Riov
As Riov t'Takar called out "Condition Red. All Personnel to their station", he called out at the same time "hhveir faeruwa-a! ( Battle stations! )
He gave a quick respectful bow to Tvlack, saying "Please excuse me, Lhhei, duty calls" then turned and followed the Riov to the Oria
As the Riov stated a set of commands when she reached the Oria, he glanced at her a moment, then turned to the Amnei'Saehne when she reached her station "Ready kuramano and teidr" ( shields and weapons )

She smiled as the sash and rank insignia was given to Riov t'Takar. Then within seconds of the ceremony being finished and dismissal being called, the Riov got a comm from the bridge. Then she gave her first order as the Riov.
She turned, moving quickly she made her way to the turbo lift, she took it to the oria (bridge), then crossed the oria as soon as the doors hissed opened.
She got to her console and relieved him, she entered her access code quickly, then raised shields and had weapons on line. When khre'Arrain Saren Zareth stepped on the oria he orderd shields and weapons at ready.
"Already on line and ready."

She was standing as one of the honor guard when the t'Taker got her sash and rank insignia. It was hard not to smile at such a momentous occasion. She was happy for and proud of her Riov. It was then that the Riov's com alerted her the Breen entering the nexus.
Usually during red alert she avail herself to the infantry department since she had experience as a sniper/scout/with cross training in demolitions. But since this was the Breen she thought it best she go to the bridge in case she was needed there.
She left quickly and made it the bridge with the first officer, in the turbo tubes with her. She went directly to her console.

As red alert was sounded her body guard Deletham, took a protective posture daring anyone to come near the Khrein. She listened with decided interest in the way the new Riov handled this. Then she made a quick decision, she would remain and observe this, the first and unplanned test to her new standing.
She followed behind the others to the oria, insuring she would not arrive before t'Takar. She not have anyone or t'Taker herself, thinking she would take command. Dhat, (no) this was her ship, her time to face the full burdens and joys of command.

Renn was late for the ceremony so like a smart officer slipped in quietly and observed it. He did not know his new commanding officer, but felt she had to deserve whatever accolades were given her. When she was suddenly called to the oira it came as no suprised to the Bajoran officer that he would soon follow. The condition red warning confirmed his suspicion. He was already on his way to oira level so he entered not soon after the others and assumed his station giving the appropriate orders to the subordinate who had assumed it in his absence. He keyed in the appropriate codes and readied himself for whatever came next.

As the alert was sounded shipwide, the Marines responded ready and Dheno took their preassigned stations in and around the sensitive areas of the ship. No battle was imminent, but she understood the Leih's decision to bring the ship to full alert.Who knew what they would encounter once they entered the Nexus?

They neared the point at which the Breen ships had entered. She took a few moments to look over the new Operations officer. She had not had the opportunity yet to review his file. She tried to read his expression. Was he ready? Did he have battle experience?
"erei'Arrain Jarrod, scan the area and tell me what you observe. Are there any signs of of an ion trail or any particle or energy trail we can follow?'
