"Engage cloak, then take us in. Follow the Breen's course precisely." As they entered, the energy waves swirled around them but nothing else was visible. She watched on the main viewscreen, searching for any trace of the other ships. It was reported that the Nexus had the ability to warp time and space and to conform itself to the reality of those who entered it. Was this intentional or passive? Did it make time travel possible or did it just show you what you wanted to see? Did it act on conscious or subconscious desires and most importantly, could it be controlled? What would happen to them if everyone's deepest desires were suddenly manifested? If she concentrated on the Breen ships would they materialize or would it only be an illusion. Visualizing them in her mind she closed her eyes briefly and "saw" them appear on the viewscreen. Then she opened them again but saw nothing but the swirling golden waves. Inwardly she sighed in relief. The tachyons that allowed them to navigate, also seemed to shield them from the other effects. Nothing here could be taken for granted however.

An energy shockwave hits Dhivael and it disrupts the cloak momentarily. In the resulting ripple effect one of the Breen ships becomes visible ahead of them. It has come to a full stop but they can not tell if it's disabled.

"leih, cloak engaged." As they entered she was transfixed by the swirling patterns she saw but only for a minute.

As soon as Veralen confirmed cloak modificaions, he tapped the engage key and brought the Dhivael closer and then into the temperal energy known as the nexus
He admired the complex energy colors and patterns within the nexus but he didnt have time to admire it for long as an energy wave hits the Dhivael, disrupting the cloak's operation temporarily
"Fvadt!" he cursed under his breath as he fought to remain seated and keep the Dhivael on course. He cursed again when the navigational proximity alarm blared to life when the Breen ship appeared ahead of them. He tapped a key, the Dhivael swirving hard to starboard to avoid a collision

He continued to listen to the bridge chatter and watched as the Dhivael entered the nexus, seeing the complex swirling energies within the Nexus. He admired that something that can be as equally beautiful can be just as destructive
the shock wave that hits the Dhivael a moment later brings his quicky back to reality. He watched as the Breen vessel suddenly appear on screen and the Gonaiih'Saehne ( Helm Officer ) quick reaction to turn the ship to avoid a collision.
He caught a glimpse of the breen ship before the Dhivael swirved. He thought the Breen ship looked like it sustained damage but he couldn't be sure
He turned to Tactical "Damage report" he asked cooly, wanting her to tell him if the Breen ship is damaged as well as how damaged the Dhivael is

"Shields still holding but down to 95%, cloak operational, decks 4 -10 reporting minor damage. No injuries reported. Damage control teams on are the moving to the locations."

T'meryl held onto the console as the ship jerked with the shock wave. When the shields dropped for a moment, she saw the Breen ship. Instinctively , she hit a couple of buttons on the console, trying to lock a scan on the ship, holding on as the helm performed a collision avoidance maneuver.

Liordra held tight to the arms of the chair as the wave rocked them and for a second only, disrupted their cloak as well as the Breen's, allowing them to see them clearly. Had they been seen too? She quickly brought up the communication codes Khev had provided and initiated them. The vortex energy crackled, breaking up the signal but some small part of it could still be heard. From one ship...a shout and someone cried out incoherently. Then from the second. "Report! Cren, Acknowledge!" More shouts from the first and then communications were cut off. Something had happened on the first ship. What? She turned the Zareth and then to Khev. "Opinions. Should we attempt to find out what happened here or leave them and continue?"

He heard the shouts and the orders being given from the other ship and then nothing. Communication had been lost. He turned a glance to the Riov to guage her reaction. His was neutral, of course
He watched as she turned a glance to him and to the science officer asking for Opinions
He raised a brow ever so slightly and wondered what was she thinking. Find out what happened? that was a bit obvious, he thought
"In my opinion, I think we should move on. It is apparent as to what happened. they were hit by the same energy distortion wave that hit us and they seem to have sustained a bit more damage. By staying here, I think we are posing a greater threat to the ship. We are already damaged and we risk further damage by staying here"

She heard the leih and then Zareth. She then responded, "leih, the Breen have been known to exaggerate and play up such an incident, lulling others into a false sense of security. A smilier transmission was picked up by one of science vessels and when they responded to give aid, they were attacked. However, if they are damaged as bad as make this appear we could gain an upper hand. In dealing with them is is always the case of the lesser evil. I would advice caution in any direction you would chose."

Jerrod was about the check for signs of survivors, but thought better of it. He instead pondered this anomoly they were entering. If it was the one he'd read about then in such a place the fear would not be the entering but the exiting. He awaited his orders. His first thought was a brief prayer to the prophets, but they were no longer listeining to his prayers.

The Federation response would no doubt be to stop and ask if assistance was needed. The Rihannsu response would be record the circumstances of their encounter and continue. As a Rihannsu ship allied with a Federation fleet, what exactly were their obligations? There were many areas such as this that were still unclear as they tried to forge an identity for themselves here. Neither they nor the Breen however were actual members of the Federation and in this specific circumstance they also had reason to believe that the Breen's presence in the Nexus was not simply one of exploration. As well as those reasons the Subcommander and the Diplomatic Officer had just given , there were also the unknown aspects of the Nexus itself to consider.
"Plot a course around the Breen ships. Give them a wide berth."

tr'Kayton sees more soldiers and this time, several members of his crew do as well. The Jem'Hadar appear to engage them in a firefight.
