When he says "I know how you feel. I've had my heart broken a few times myself. It's the worst feeling you could have"
Her mind says "Here we go he knows how you feel, hes just saying that" she looks at the floor "He's playing you" he mind yells
"He loves her I l know I can feel it" her heart says "like they way you felt and he end up sleeping with her Aunt!" he mind yells
She is snapped from her thoughts when she hears him say "I love you, Cindy"
She looks at him and in a sarcastic tone "Like I haven't heard that before, You Love me then you'll Sleep with someone else!.......Your like all rest Jake loved me then sleep with my Aunt!" she shakes her head "men say I love you like asking for the time its no big deal" she says
"You tell him, he's a man and will just use you" her mind says "He Loves you I can feel it" her heart says
"You had your shots and blew it three times were living fine, tell him fine another sucker" her mind says "Were not living were just surviving, Life is a gamble you don't always win, but you don't always lose either" her heart says
She looks in his eyes and sees his feelings for her She takes a breath "I'm not sure what I'm feeling, or if I can even love again" she Says as she leans in and kisses him "lets get this problem fixed first I can't let my Lo....my Feelings get in the way of being a counselor" she says "once this done we'll see what develops"she adds

As soon as he revealed that he loved her, her head snapped up and she gave him a look that would've thrown him across the room, through the door and out into the hallway and she told him bitterly "Like I haven't heard that before" He was sure she had heard it before "You love me and then you'll go sleep with someone else" His left brow went up on that "You're like all the rest. Jake loved me, but then ended up sleeping with my aunt" hmm, getting to the center of the bitterness and pain, which is good. Perhaps it's a time for healing? "Men say I love you like asking for the time, like it's no big deal" He was surprised by this. He had no idea she was hurting in such a fashion. Course, he didn't ask either. He switched back to listening mode and he felt he had to defend himself a little bit there
"It is a big deal to me" he told her simply "I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it. I don't know who this Jake person is but I think he is a fool for breaking your heart and sleeping with your aunt" he thought of a stronger description for this Jake person but he thought he'd be nice and not voice it
He saw her expression change, soften a bit as she realized what she said. She took a breath to calm herself then went on to say 'I'm not sure what I am feeling or even If I could love again" Much to his surprise, she leaned over and kissed him, laying her head on his shoulder "lets get this problem fixed first I can't let my Lo....my Feelings get in the way of being a counselor" once this done we'll see what develops"
He kissed her back, placing an arm around her shoulders "That sounds like a plan to me" he says I don't expect you to let your personal feelings cloud your professional judgement. You wouldn't be doing a very good job if you did and I wouldn't want you to get into trouble for that. As for our feelings, I don't expect to go at warp nine with that. I think we should take our time, not rush into it and see where things take us" he counseled. A brief thought ran through his mind of something he heard "Who counsels the counselor?"

She looked up, smiled and agreed to taking it slow He thought that was very promising. She then sat up a little but he was still able to keep an arm around her shoulders
She then heard her ask him "Why did he tell you to go to Orion? They weren't involved in any of this" she said as an after-thought
He furrowed his brows slightly as he thought back to what the time traveler had told him "They weren't?" he halfway asked "For some reason, I thought there were" Slightly confused, he says "I guess that's what I get for coming in on the middle of this mess, instead of the beginning"
He thought back, trying to remember what the time traveler had said. Things had happened so fast, it was hard to absorb what all he said
""The only clue I can give you lies on the ice planet where this all started"" he suddenly remembered, quoting what the time traveler told him
He also mentioned that in his time that there is a war being fought. Not no ordinary war. This is a war that being fought throgh time!" This thought scared him a bit "A Tempral Cold War, he called it. His history never recorded the resignation of Captain Shran. He told me that a faction, or someone from a faction was able to come back and alter clyde's phaser, got Captain Shran to resign and eventually led to the destruction of the ship"
He paused so she could absorb all this and then comment

As she listened to him, her eyes get big when he says ""The only clue I can give you lies on the ice planet where this all started""
She takes his hand "The planet were Clyde shot the guy at was an Ice planet that's what he wants us to go back their" she says
Her mind started working on how they get the ship back their as Aidan finished talking
Smiling at him "You got to set things rights" she says then fear shows in her eyes "even if .......even if I lose you" she says
now her mind wanted Aidan to stay in this time but her heart say fixing it is more important, she hoped he understand
She asks "How do we get him to return to that planet?"

After quoting the time traveler, he noticed her eyes widening, in recognition, as if knowing the place where this whole mess started
He felt her take his hand and he smiled at that "The planet were Clyde shot the guy at was an Ice planet that's why he wants us to go back there" He nodded, thinking for a moment, then his eyes light up in recognition "You mean that planet we were at where he was shot and I transported him to sickbay?" he questioned, making sure he had the right place
She smiled at him and said "You've got to set things right". He lifted a questing brow "Me? How..?" He then saw the fear in her eyes as she added "Even if... Even if I lose you"
His heart went out to her, even as he remembered something else the time traveler said to him. Perhaps he let it slip, or he had not intended to tell him, but he was told nonetheless. He remembered the time traveler telling him that history showed that he lived out the rest of his life in the 24th century. This means he would not be going back and that he would stay with Cindy for as long as she wanted him
He squeezed her hand to reassure her, then pulled her into a hug "Don't worry, I'm not going to go anywhere. I promise you that I will stay here.. with you"
He then heard her ask "How do we get him to return to that planet"?
He thought for a moment then said "We're both gonna have to go talk to him and convince him I'm not making all this up, I think. He's not going to listen or believe just me"

She saw his eyes light up in recognition as he said "You mean that planet we were at where he was shot and I transported him to sickbay?"
She smiled at him "Yes that's the place" she says
She smiles bigger as he squeezed her hand to reassure her, then he pulled her into a hug, she hug him back then laid her head on his shoulder again as he said "Don't worry, I'm not going to go anywhere. I promise you that I will stay here.. with you"
She looks at him and softly says "Please don't make a promise you can't keep"
"its no going to be easy we need some kind of prof or a reason to go back" she then says

She smiled at him as she confirmed that was the place that he was thinking of. He'd comment "Hmm. I thought there was something funny about that place. I wasn't there when he shot the dude, but I came in about the time where he was shot himself"
After he hugged her. reassuring her that he wasn't going to go anywhere, She laid her head back on his shoulder then looked up at him after he promised to stay there with him, she softly said to him "You shouldn't make promises you can't keep" He smiled at her and returned with "I usually do keep promises that I make" At least he did everything in his power to keep a promise that he makes
"It's not going to be easy. We need some kind of proof or a reason to go back" she stated and he nodded in agreement. "No, it's not going to be easy. Since we have no proof, we're going to have to come up with a reason to go back" He thought about taking a lie detector test but he didn't think they had those anymore

Cindy Listens to him, she nodded when he said he always thought their was something funny about that place
She looked up at at him when he said "I usually do keep promises that I make"
She wanted to to tell him to stop that, and her eyes showed mistrust for a second then it was replaced with a loving look, her heart and mind were saying the same thing "Kiss him," as she gazed at him
She blinked when he said No, it's not going to be easy. Since we have no proof, we're going to have to come up with a reason to go back" bringing her back from her thoughts
She Kisses him Deeply "We will find away" she says, as she thinks "Maybe this time will be different"

As he said he usually kept promises that he made, she looked at him, looking like she wanted to to disagree with him again. He could see the distrust flash in her eyes, but then it disappeared, replaced by warmth and love,
He blinked as she was about to kiss him, his eyes glanced down to her lips, they looked so full and inviting. Then he made his comment that it wasn't gonna be easy to convince the commodore to make a return trip to the planet where Clyde got shot. He saw her blink, as if clearing her mind and he thought the moment of her kissing him was broken
He thought wrong. She brought her lips up to his and kissed him, deeply and passionately and all thought of convincing the Commodore of anything flew right out the window. He returned her kiss with equal passion, feeling his toes curl in the process. In the back of his mind, he remembered reading somewhere that if you kissed someone, and they made your toes curl, then you are meant to be with that person.

Not recieving a responce from the Captain, he heads to his quarters, to verify that what he has reprogrammed is correct. Entering, the rooms are as he had left them. Only a minor amount of dust having settled in the several weeks he'd been gone.
"Computer: Current ships roster by rank."
The computer beeps a couple of times, then returns with
"CO> Captain Shran
XO> Commander T'Lar
HELM>Marine Captain Inid Kiara
CSEC> Lt. Darius Weslynes
Ops> Ensign Darrly Ironmind
Tac> Ensign Lewis Reid
CMO> LtJG. Robert Deveroh
MCO> 2Lt Clyde Greathouse
are current listed crewmen. Please state the reason for this inquiry."
"Ensign Darryl Ironmind requesting a roster update. I have had to rebuild my personality, and am seeking to veriy my databanks. Please locate Captain Shran."

Aidan slowly awakened the next morning. First thing that he was aware of was that a body was leaning against him. A warm, soft body. At first, he thought it was a cat, but then he remembered, he don't have a cat.
He cracked an eyelid open to see a full head of reddish-brown hair covering his chest. Last night came back to him and he smiled, remembering sharing that wonderful kiss with Cindy "It wasn't just a dream after all" he says to himself
He went on to remember after the kiss, they had talked about how to approach the commodore and talk to him again about the things he remembered. Perhaps with Cindy's help, he may listen
Cindy then fell asleep in his arms and he had followed suit shortly afterwards
He sat there, with her in his arms, and thought she was beautiful, even in sleep

She was adjusting her position when she noticed something hard, She reached out and patted it
She slowly opened one eye to see Aidan looking at her, then she felt his arms around her and she smiled at him as she remembered the Kiss from last night. She sighed a blissful sigh its been a while seen she Kissed like that or woke up in the arms of a man
She raised up and kisses him "I guess I fell a sleep" she says as she sits up, and stretches "What time is it?" she asks

He felt her adjust her position then reached over to touch his.. knee.
As she opened her eyes, he smiled at her "Good morning, Sleeping Beauty" referring to the children's storybook heroine.
He kissed her back and watched her stretch, his eyes and smile widening as she stretched to wake up her muscles. he then heard her comment "I must have fallen asleep. What time is it?"
He glanced at his watch that was on his left wrist. It said 7:20 am. "According to my watch, It's 7:20 am but it could be slow". He raised his voice slight to address the computer "Computer, can you tell me the correct time?"
The computer chimed in helpfully "The correct time is 7:30 in the morning, Earth time"
He chuckles a little "guess my watch is slow a couple minutes.. or is it a couple centuries?" he asked rhetorically
