He was sitting there looking out the viewport on the shuttle, thinking about what he wanted to do when he got to Thales. He knew he wanted to scout the areas with the others, thinking of a place near a lake, with a view of the moutains in the distance. That would be a beautiful place, he thought
Something other then stars caught his eye and he squinted his eyes for a moment to see what it was. After a few minutes, he could see that it was a planet. He smiled and looked back to the others: Skye, Arron, Hitomi "Hey, you guys, I think I see Thales coming into view"
He then pointed out his port window

He laughs "Thats just a big old marble" as he looks at the planet as it slowly grows bigger

Ravin was sitting. He looked up from his PADD and saw the pearl that was to be their new home grow larger by the minute.
He only wished he could be flying there himself. But here it was. A true home. Where you could walk on real ground. real dirt. Grow your own food walk in the sunlight and swim in a ntural body of water.
All the things his people found repugnant were strangely attractive to him.
He remembered being a happy well adjusted citizen of Eminiar Seven, until one day, something kind of snapped inside him. Told him that the way his people were living while efficient and comfortable, was constricting.
Confining. Conforming. Perhaps he had read too much of the writings of the Terran author Thoreau. But his was what he wanted. What his heart told him was a "True Life".
Complete with hardships as well as joy, and all things in between.

The planet Thales came into view and as the pilot was about to direct their attention to the view ports he saw they were already looking. He smiled and looked at the co-pilot, "Think they're excited?" The first site they would go to was Site 1, the pilot began his descent after telling all the passengers to remain in their seats. After a few minutes the shuttle rested on the sands of the beach. The tide was out and the beach seemed almost twice its size. It was by their time 9 A.M. standard time but on Thales it was approximately 3 A.M. with the double moons still visible. The only sounds they could hear was the sound of the waves as they rolled in and some insects. Thales came ever closer and the next thing he knew they were descending down into the atmosphere. A few minutes later, the pilot had announced that they had landed. He unstrapped himself and headed out of the hatch and onto the beach
First thing he noticed when he steped out onto the beach was the double moons. "Oh Cosmic!" He exclaimed, with awe and excitement "I love looking up at the moon at night and I have 2 here"
Then he looked out at the calm ocean, the moon's light reflecting off the water "This would be perfect with mountains in the background, but I know we have 2 more sites to visit. I'm sure Sara would have loved this picture." He suddenly thought of something, he turned back "Hey, anybody have a camera"?

Ravin took out his holocam and tossed it to Troy.
"Incoming, Mr. Jensen!"

He turned and automatically caught the holocam that the governor, having heard the incomming warning
He grinned at Ravin "Thanks, Guv" then he turned back to the two moons, noting that they looked full "This is going to be an awesome shot"
Making sure he had both moons in the shot, he took the picture. The he lowered the holocam to the ocean, capturing some of the moonlight shining off of it, he took another "I bet Sara's gonna love these"

As they entered the atmosphere she saw it was the middle of the night. Flying over an alien ocean that she would soon call home her stomach did a flip flop out of excitement. She considered only for a few seconds what could lay beneath the ocean below them.
Then she caught sight of the double moons, without realizing it she spoke out loud. "Ach, have yer seen such a magnificent sight as that? Double moons can yer imagine the poems and stories that will come out of that?"
A few minutes later they landed on the beach. She found her excitement overwhelming her and waiting her turn to leave the shuttle seemed like a life time.
As she stood on the beach she listened to the insects in the distance knowing there would be avians, to feed on them. Also small mammals and possibility small rodents. Also there was a chance that some would carry disease. It was a shame they didn't have an entomologist. But she had every confidence in the doctor should that be the case. She then thought to herself, "Skye Logan get you head out of your work and start enjoying the grand sight before ya."
She heard the incoming call and laughed as she took a few steps away from Troy so he could catch it.

"Anytime, Troy. Just make sure you get a few of me when we get to the surface. For the people back home."
He smiled. As if any of them would want to look at a beach or a "Naked" planet. If any of them so much as got sand between their toes they'd be traumatized.

While back in the shuttle, on final landing approach he heard skye thinking outloud "Ach, have yer seen such a magnificent sight as that? Double moons can yer imagine the poems and stories that will come out of that?"
He turned to skye with a grin "You can say that again. I'd love to hear you recite the poems or sing songs you create being inspired by the lovely moons" He gave her a playful wink then turned back to the port window

He heard Ravin and he swung back around and got Ravin into the shot, as he stood on the door coming down from the shuttle "Sure thing, boss" since he is the governor, and most likely his boss "Want a shot of you coming out of the shuttle onto this very beautiful beach"?

They landed on the beach, and exited the transport he hears Skye say "Ach, have yer seen such a magnificent sight as that? Double moons can yer imagine the poems and stories that will come out of that?"
He looks up at the moon then at the ocean as the moonlight dances on the waves "It's beautiful" he listens to the sound of the waves and the insects the sounds was beautiful and relaxing it was like the planet was singing
He heard troy ask for a camera then heard the incoming call he looked to see Troy catching it
Taking a deep breath the air was crisp and clean, with a smell of salt in the air "Smell that Air" he smiles

"I already have Arron and its a bit of home for me. I grew up on an isle and my family were fishermen. It's a wondrous smell after all the recycled air on the ships." She smiled and was looking at Arron in the moonlit beach.
"Troy can I have a picture to show Ivan?"

He turned toward Skye and grinned. "Sure. I'd love to get a shot of you and the moons and the ocean in the background. I am sure Ivan would be just awestruck. You want Arron in the picture too?"

He nods "Hey, good idea. This is going to be totally Cosmic" he said and he started programing the timing on the holocam
"Maybe we can do this with all three sites" He then chuckled a little "Never thought I would be the first person to step out on a brand new world, especially one as beautiful as this"
