She and Cerius were halfway to his quarters when the computer chimes in announcing to Myrna that Governor Kluge is asking for her. She sighed and stamped her foot, almost growling "What does he want now"? She asked aloud
She turns to Cerius with an apologetic look "I'm sorry, my prince, but the governor is bellowing for me again. I'll go see what he wants and will return to your quarters soon." She kissed him gently then trudged off to the Governor's quarters.
When she arrived, she rang the chime

He turned back toward his desk and slid on his reading glasses. "Come on in, it's open" he called out before setting down his reports. "Chief, thank you for coming on such short notice. Can I get you some coffee or tea?" He asked with a small smile. "I hope I'm not pulling you away from anything, but this won't take too long." He leaned forward, awaiting a response.

She entered when she was invited, hearing his thank her for coming on such short notice. She gave a short nod at that, continuing to listen as he asked her if she wanted some coffee or tea "Thank you for the offer, governor but I'm fine." She pondered a moment as he commented that he hoped that he wasn't pulling her away from something important. "No, sir." She verbally stated, then thought just some alone time with my man. She would then stand there and wait for him to tell her why he called her there

His eyes focused downward, noting the sour tone before taking a few pieces of paper and flipping them over. "Chief" He said before looking back up, "Do you have the inspection logs for the ship before and after it's delivery and before and after arriving on station out here?" He looked up, lowering his glasses to the bridge of his nose.
"Because from what I've seen, this ship has not been inspected before or after delivery from the shipyard and before and after leaving and coming out here. Isn't that your responsibility?" He didn't want to sound too questioning, but the potential safety of the mission was at stake. He took his glasses off and set them down on the desk.

Her eyes glanced down to the paperwork that set in front of the Governor, before she heard him speak again. Her expression calm and relaxed. Well, relaxed for her. Yes, Sir. It is. I cannot speak for the Mercury before they picked us colonists up from the station but I did perform a security background check on found nothing that was amiss."
Once the Mercury was underway, I decided to go on a personal perimeter search to make sure with my own eyes the ship is secured. If I found any possibilites of breach, I brought it to the ship's security chief's attention so she could more secure the area in question." She produced a small padd from her person and offered it to him "There are my notes and findings. If you wish, I can contact the Mercury's chief of security to give you a pre-colonists report?"

The Governor seemed to have spaced out during her report on what had occured on the ship after the Mercury had picked them up "Sir?" She asked questioning, to get his attention. No response.
She placed her report on the desk in front of him and proceeded to leave. She looked back at him as she reached the door and he was still sitting there. She left without another moment's passing and then proceeded to Cerius' quarters to continue what they had planned to do
