"What a shame its not a duty assignment." her eyes sparkled with amusement as her mind raced with images of what an assignment like that would be."
"A people person I could tell, they are the most interesting."
"Not one person, ever noticed your grin. I find that hard to believe."

His eyes sparkling in merriment and mischief, "It may have been because they were more afraid of my flying. I did graduate at the top of my class in piloting.. at least the shuttle classes. Though my instructors did say I was never to ever pilot anything larger than a defiant class ship. If they could ever figure out a way, they were going to make sure I was restricted to something smaller, even after I left the service, unless I could quite pranking with my vessel."
He cocks his head to the side that lopsided grin finally square, "Ever seen a type 9 do a chandelle?"

"No, and I don't want to. Tell me, do you drink and fly." Winking at him. "I'll have to make sure Adm Taylar never lets you cover for me. We enjoy our lives." She starts laughing.
"So its enjoying turning peoples hair that you enjoy. One strand Mister." faining a sternness with him she doubts she would ever have.

"Me? Turn hairs? I woudnt' dream of doing such a thing to that beautiful mop of copper you have." He smiles a wide, charming smile, "It was only to my instructors I did so. But I couldn't turn their hairs any grayer. It was all ready steel. I just wanted to see how they looked with it stark white.
"Usually though, it was their face that went white first. Then it just went purple. I guess Mum and Dad forgot to drive home to me, that a ship does best when it's belly is in line with teh galactic south. It's fun seeing everything up side down."

"Why thank you sir for noticing the copper. Now white is about the same as gray. So watch it." Laughing
"A ship with her belly up, has a way of making those not used to it very white. I never did that. But then most of the guys did. Must be guy thing."
"Your instructors turning white." Laughs almost uncontrollable.

"It was rather funny to see, though I'm not sure it was as much fun to participate in. The fellow students during those days seemed to enjoy it. Male and female alike." Joins her in her laughter.
"I may have to check out a shuttle one of these days, and take you out for a flight. It'll be fun."

Looking at him and taking a sip of her beer, she smiles.
"I don't fly upside down. Isn't good for the complexion. Besides I'm naturally pale enough. Thanks." softly laughing. She got her mothers hair, and complexion from the Irish side.
She looked into his eyes and was drawn in.

His smile widens, "Ah, come on. Surely, you aren't telling me you don't do something dangerous once in a while? And, this isn't as dangerous as it sounds. Unless you are in a sun's gravety well, you are perfectly safe. The minimal gravity out here woudln't affect you."
He thinks for a few minutes, though it would be fun to try in an atmosphere though. I never have had that opportunity. Not saying it aloud. His grin widens even more, and his entire face lights up with mischief.

"Oh no, I've seen that expression on my brothers a few times. What sort of deviltry have you in mind?" she looks at him sideways and there's a glint of merriment in them.
"No, wait that look is too classic. I don't think I want to know."

His grin spreads even wider, "Well, I could let you know, but I'd try it on the Holodecks first. That way, I could test a theory before actually threatening my own skin."
His eyes practically lit up from within, " Are you sure I can't get an eyewitnes to come along?"

"I'm sure. I like my career as it is."
She points to a table and chairs near the VP.
"How about we sit there?"

He chuckles a little. "Sounds good to me. I guess I'll have to find someone else to fly with me then when I give this a try."

She walked over to the table and sat down. While he was sitting down she spoke to him.
"I love this table, it gives the best view of the stars. One day when I wasn't on duty. I sat here and watched them for hours. You would think after sitting at helm all the time I wouldn't. But maybe thats what got me interested in helm to begin with."

"Don't worry. I grew up scanning gaseous anomolies with my paretns, and I still love to do just that. I love to study them." He shrugs, sitting completely.
"I just wasn't certain that was what I wanted to do my entire life. I haven't found anything yet that could compare."

"Oh, I'm not worried. How can anyone look out that VP and not see the simple beauty and wonder thats there. Compared to it, we all nothing but grains of sand."
"Oh would you listen to me, I could bore you with this. You know I hate to eat alone. And I was going have some hunters stew, and biscuits. Would you like to join me for dinner in my quarters."
"And thats all it would be so get that look off your face." playful smile
