These guidelines should assist anyone who's creating a character.
Creating a character from the ground up is a usually a lot of fun. And depending on what you know about the chosen race it can be thought provoking.
1) When you create you character you are in total control. You decide the race, gender, age, if you want to be in the Navy or Marines. If you want to be an officer or non commissioned officer.
2) The character belongs to the person who created it and can only be changed by that person.
3) An established Character cannot change his race, name, etc., without permission of the CO.
4) If the person who created the character wishes to kill off their character it must be approved by the CO. This way the CO can work that into the storyline, otherwise a gap is left.
5) Any person who creates a character and puts in enough research to become a mentor to new recruits will earn special recognition.
6) Char age needs to be 18 for enlisted personal, which is non commissioned officers . And 21 for academy graduates which will give them an officers rank.
7) No one may harm, or cause the death of your character without your expressed permission.
8) When creating your character the abilities and characteristics must be in line with that characters chosen race. (ex: a human can't hold his breath for more than a few minutes, a Vulcan can't display a full range of emotions)
9) When doing a member created race keep in mind that no super being can result. Normally for every advantage a race has it has an equal disadvantage.
10) In creating a hybrid you can't take only the best traits from each race with none of the negatives.
