He grabbed some coffee first then sat down and took a sip."Its a bit dry as most reports can be."

She nodded as he spoke to her. After her brief scan, "Looks good."
She was alerted to an incoming message from the bridge. "All Senior staff Officers Report to the ready room in 15 minutes All Senior Staff Officer to the ready room."
She looked at Marc, "Looks like we better finish our coffee, we're being paged. Finally we'll find out whats going on."

He drains his cup. Darn, I was just getting comfortable. Alright we go to the Colonel's Ready room. Good. Lets get on with the fun. He smiled at her as they exited.

David and his team enter the Marine Deck when he hears the XO says "All Senior staff Officers Report to the ready room in 15 minutes All Senior Staff Officer to the ready room."
David Looks at his Team "Wont be long now" he says

She walked onto the Marine Deck and noticed everything that was going on. She then entered her office and got a cup of what was now called Iverson special. She began to go over the reports. After a few minutes she turned her attention to the Marine rosters and duty assignments. She then remembered Greathouse.
Tapping on her comm badge. "Sgt Greathouse report to my office. Major Iverson out."

He was leaving his Quarters when is comm chirp he heard Major Iverson call him to her office.
Tapping his comm "On my way Ma'am" he makes his way to the Marine Deck, and her office and rings the chime

"Yes I do. Have a seat. I admire your ambition and can see myself a bit in you. But guess what I never said in front of a MCO? And you figure out why?" Her eyes remained steady on him.

He sits down and looks at the Major "That your were going to be better than them? It could be seen as an insult" he says
"I meant no disrespect Ma'am" he sighs "I really got work on that have a bad habit of talking with out thinking" he pauses for a moment
"Ma'am you are a great MCO and Marine, and after I said what I did I realized that wasn't the brightest thing to do, But I hope you know I have the highest respect for you?" he says never taking his eyes off her
"I will accept what ever punishment you give me"

"Relax there is no punishment. The fact you realized your mistake is enough for now. You need to remember that while ambition is good it can be one of your biggest downfalls. Blind ambition leads to mistakes, and mistakes on the field leads to death."
"I"m not worried about you taking my job. You have a long way to go before your ready for that, and your progressing well. Learn these 2 things. 1) blind ambition can kill get rid of it. 2) don't brown nose me again, by telling me how great I am, how much you respect me. I hate that.
"Foot in the mouth disease serves no one and if not checked leads to much larger issues." She sat back and looked at him.

He looks at the Major "I shall get rid of the blind ambition" he tries to keep a strait face but a small smiles appears "And no more Brown nosing Ma'am"
"And I shall do my best to get rid of the foot in mouth disease Ma'am" he says
