Shore leave Earth

[Lt Cmdr Melvin Moon]

He heard david thank him then asked if he interrupted something since he was still standing. He shook his head and simply stated "No"

Then he added with a smirk "Nothing important, just my breakfast" he chuckled and sat down

David smiles "Well breakfast is the most important meal" he says, He starts to say something else when Sam interrupts him

Sam listens to Moon, then David and when David pauses "Oh I'm Nothing Important Am I" She says, her voice is hard but, she she's only teasing

He looks over to Sam, hearing her offended tone but empathically sensing she is teasing him. He gives her a knowing look

"You are important but what I meant is that we were not discussing anything personal between us"

[2Lt David Greathouse]

David looks at Moon after he washes his food down, then hearing Moon "That's good I would hate to pound you for insulting her" he says

[1Lt. Samantha Doogan]

Sam takes David's Arm and laughs "Easy Bro, I knew what he meant I was just teasing him" she says, David nods as he finishes eating

He looked at David as he stated he would put a pounding on him if he had intentionally insulted Sam

"To put your mind at ease, I don't make it a habit to intentionally insult people I consider friends, Mr. GreatHouse"

He then took a sip of his rapidly cooling coffee

David smiles at Moon "I would have to have" he stops in mid through Seeing Sam giving him a nasty look "I'm sorry Moon I get over protective at times" he says

Then his smile gets bigger "Mr Greathouse is my Father" he says

[Col Ralph D Hall]

Ralph enters his quarters then puts his duffel bag down, as he looks around Nice Quarters, I'll unpack later he thinks.

Exiting his quarters he continues to walk the ship, to get the feel for it.

She left her quarters, then went to ten forward. She knew Moon was there and she wanted to go planet side before they left. When she walked in she looked over to where Moon was.

"Melvin, I wanted to go planet side and was wondering if you wanted to join me. I was thinking of going to see Niagara Falls in New York. Then looking at some of the other sights." [/color] She waited for him to respond. "And of course your friends if they want to join us."

He just finished his coffee when he felt a familiar presence. He brightened considerably and turned toward the entrance. A minute later, he seen Zarlena stroll in, look around a moment before looking at him. He put on his most charming smile when she said she was thinking about going to a place called Niagara Falls and asked if he wanted to join her

He scrambled to his feet and walked over towards Zarlena, after disposing of what was left of his breakfast "Of Course, I would love to come with you to visit Niagara Falls. I hear it is a beautiful place to visit" He would go with Zarlena anywhere she wanted to go. He loved spending time with her, loved being with her. Reaching her side, he turned and looked back towards David and Sam "You two would be most welcome to come with us. Perhaps you two can share with us some of the history of the Falls"? In the back of his mind, he hoped they would decline, say that they had other things to do or something. He wanted to spend some time alone with Zarlena since they do not get much time off from their duties, but he didn't want to be rude and not invite them

Sam smiles at Mel and Zarlena "That's very kind off you, but I'll have to decline after spending time with my family I just relax now" she says with a smile

[2Lt David Greathouse]

David looks at Moon and Zarlena "I would love to but Beth is going to call me later today, and I should be when the wife calls" he says with Smile as he takes a bite of his food

[MCapt Zarlena Dorius]

She looked at his friends, she knew them in passing of course but had not struck up a friendship. "If you change your minds we'll be in the Niagara Falls area. We'll see you later enjoy your leave."
She smiled at Melvin, "Are you ready?' He nodded that he was and they both walked out to the TR.

~~I hope I didn't seem rude but after the mission I just stayed by myself and mediated. Hearing and feeling the roller coaster of emotions and thoughts took its toll on me. And then I decided the last minute to go planet side.~~

He nodded to both David and Sam as they both declined Zarlena's, and his, invitation to visit Niagara Falls. He turned to Zarlena as she asked him if he was ready to go. He nodded and followed her out of the lounge and walked with her to the TR

As they walked, he heard her telepathic communication, apologizing if she seemed rude; after the mission she needed time to herself and meditate, to relax after such an emotional roller coaster . He nodded, understanding how she felt, this mission took it's toll on him as well, of course, it took it's toll on everyone. He answered her mental message with one of his own

~~ I completely understand, Zarlena. It took quite a toll on me as well, both mentally, emotionally and physically. I could feel the fear coming from the passengers and some of the ones that didn't make it. They felt so helpless, some feeling desperate. I barely made it off the ground the second time before the riot started. I wanted to help the marines, but I knew there was nothing I could do. I'm sure this mission took it's toll on everyone, especially the marine divisions. I too went to my quarters, meditated and slept off the effects of the mission" ~~ He shook his head, trying to clear his mind of such memories ~~ Enough of such thoughts. I am here to enjoy your company and to enjoy some of Earth's most beautiful sights, but I am sure they are not as beautiful as you, Zarlena ~~

He smiled again continuing to walk with her
