Thomas walked into the Five Forward and looked around to see who was there. He sees Kelly, Zarlena, and Kaz at the table further down the room. He could tell that they were in a very good conversation and was not too sure if he should interrupt them. Nevertheless, he thought he could try it.
Thomas walked up to them, his hands placed in his front pockets. “So, this is where everyone is hiding?”, he said jokingly. “I do hope you all do not mind me joining you three.”, he said to them.
Thomas looked at all three of them with a smile. He hoped he was not intruding, but did hope to make a few more friends on the ship, even though he knew most of them.

Kol'Rah walked into Five Forward.He saw a great deal of the crew was their.most were gathered around one table.he found an empty one and ordered Blood Wine.
He drank his first mug and wiped it on his sleeve.he ordered another one and watched as the crew interacted.He did miss the fights and insults but he reminded himself again this was not a Klingon ship.

When he walked over she looked up, and smiled brightly.
"Hello Kelly of course not have a seat. Busy?" She starts laughing. "I was never stationed on a new ship before and had no idea how much was involved. I have the ship ready from my end of it. But it took all day."
"Kaisa was telling me its been real busy in sick bay getting it ready. OH and she says the Doctor is real good, down to earth as you Terran's say."
She reaches for her Dalarian ale, gently swirls letting it return to the slight greenish hue. Her head tilted she slightly smiles as she swirls it.

Kelly looked up and saw Corporal Kinsley,"Not at all mate if these lovely Sheila's don't mind."He turned back to Zar as she spoke,He smiled and nodded as she explained how long her day was.
He could not help but notice how delicate she looked when she tilted her head.Stop it !! he thought to himself.He knew she could pick up on his attraction if he left it hanging in his head.
This of course made him think more about it.Frustrated he ordered a whiskey."A down to Earth Doc? I will believe it when I see she is not jabbing or poking me," he chuckled.
"No I am sure she is first rate.So Zar have you had a chance to talk to the major yet?I have talked to Akoval and he seems to be a great pilot.He is kinda hard to read though."
While talking Kelly kept trying to push his attraction in the back of his head.If Zar felt none he did not want to loose her as a friend.

With her head still tilted she smiled as his thoughts came screaming out of him. She shook her head slightly and her hair fall back into place after being forward from the tilt of her head. She looked at him, her eyes sparkled as the light hit them. She took a sip of her ale putting the glass on the table.
"Of course not, Thomas have a seat. How is the new MCO? I will miss Del'kara I just got used to her and shes gone."
"I haven't spoken to Major Arini since the dinner. Can you believe she got that drunk from a glass of champaign and a few sips of scotch? I saw her on the bridge, shes very hard working and a bit formal."
"I am fascinated by their antennae, the way it moves. I am willing to bet a months credit that it has to do with expressions. You know how we will wrinkle our nose if we taste something we don't like, or smell foul. I gonna see if I can find anything on the ship database."
"So far I really like her she has the same kind of presence to her that Del'Kara and Arishela has. But with her its strange cause she seems more delicate. Do you know what I mean?"

Kelly watched as Zar lifted her head moving her hair.He could not help but watch.It was almost as if in slow motion,every strand seemed to move so gently.
Then came those wonderful dazzling eyes and that sultry yet subtle smile.He downed his whiskey in one swallow trying to keep his head clear so he could keep up with the conversation.
"Well formal is to be expected I suppose.With everything going so fast I am sure she is having to adapt as well.I did not notice she got drunk that easily.I wonder if it is her or all Andorians."
Kelly ordered another whiskey,"Yes I noticed Akoval's antennae seemed to react the same way as you described.I might have to do a little research myself."
He took another hefty drink from his glass,"And yes she and Akoval both seem delicate almost frail."Kelly smiled as he fought hard the urge to keep staring at Zar's lovely face,alas to no avail.

"That appearance of frailty must be deceiving. They're a warrior race and freely admit it themselves. It must be in the way their bodies are constructed." She takes another sip from her glass.
"When you consider that they come from Andor they have to be stronger then they appear. Even I look more of a warrior then they do. And trust me, while we were at one time a very war like race that has not been the case for eons. Well not since Rixx anyways."

As he sat down at his own table, he saw Kasia and Zarlena look over his way, Kasia with a friendly smile. He smiled back at her then felt a twinge of disappointment when Zarlena didn't invite him over. His beta senses tingled, telling him that they were discussing him to some extent. His mood lifted when Kasia smiled at him, then went back down some when he saw Kelly and Thomas enter and make a staight path for Zar and Kasia's table. He knew he had an attraction for Zarlena and a thought comes to him suddenly, could he have one with Kasia or she with him? Then as if someone else was speaking to him, he thought ~ I won't know if I keep sitting here ~
He knew he had competition wih Kelly for winning Zarlena's heart and he was never good with competition and always backed off and eventually lost. He shakes his head slightly, a feeling of determination welling up inside him, he mutters, "not this time".
He then gets up and moves across the room to where everyone else is, putting on a bright, cheery, and friendly smile. "Hello Ladies", he said to Zarlena and Kasia "Is this a private party or can I squeeze in"? He said this in a joking manner then turned to thomas and Kelly, giving them each a nod of greeting. Turning back to Zarlena and Kasia, he'd add "You both look absolutely beautiful tonight. Of course, you always do" He gave a wink towards Kasia

Thomas gave a half smile as he took a seat at the table. “The new MCO seems to be great, although I meet him only once and can not say much about who he is.”, he replied to Zarlena. He personally is going to miss MCpt Del’Kara. She was one of the few that had true leadership and only a few possess true leadership.
“Scotch can do that to you if someone does not have a high toleration for them.”, Thomas continued to reply. He knew that everyone has different toleration to drinking scotch and other various drinks.
Thomas heard another voice and looked up to see that it was Ensign Moon. “I see nothing wrong you joining us. The more friends that are here, the merrier my family always say.”, he replied.
Thomas smirked at what Melvin said of how Kaz and Zarlena looked. Kaz and Zarlena do look very attractive, as always. He may not be telepathic, but he could tell through body language that these two men have some kind of attraction towards Zarlena and Kaz. Thomas knew that the best kinds of romantic relationship are the ones that started out as friends first.
Right now, he is enjoying spending the time among friends. He does hope that one day, he is able to find someone for him. Hopefully, sometime tonight, he could find someone that strikes interest in him and precede some kind of relationship from there.

Kasia pondered the question. "You are right on one thing, to me being joined is just part of who I am and the culture that I live in its not strange at all. I guess to put it simply, I'm a young starfleet officer just beginning her career who is interested in most things, though I do not like martial arts, especially klingon. I do enjoy yoga and other meditation techniques, they helped alot when I was first joined. Swimming, reading are enjoyable activities for me...I was very quiet before I was joined, but ever since I recieved Kaz I've been a bit more social you could say." She adds with a smile. It was then that Lt. Roberts came over to join them.
"Hello, I'm Ensign Kasia Kaz, its a pleasure to meet you as well." She extends her own hand to shake his. She listens to their conversation and gets another drink from the bartender as he beings her a refill of her Sumarian Sunrise. She smiles at Melvin and Thomas as they join them as well, it was turning into a regular party in here. She blushed a little when Melvin winked at her.
"Do you think we will be ready to leave soon for the training grounds?" She asks adressing the whole group.

Zarlena looked up and smiled brightly to Melvin.
"Of course you can join us. I agree with Thomas, the more at the table, the better it is. I saw you sitting by yourself and figured thats what you wanted to do. Glad you changed your mind. Why, thank you Melvin thats very sweet of you." She slightly smiled at him.
"Exactly Kaisa thats what I was saying. Each race has something unique, and to others its interesting and at times fascinating. And to members of that race it simply is. I love swimming maybe we can go soon."
"You love reading? I have in my quarters a prized possession. Three Betazoid books type casted on paper. I hope someday to pass that on to any children I have. It was a fortune but well worth it."
"How long have you been in Star Fleet Kaisa? I've been in the Marines for 8 years now. Not counting boot camp and the academy or special training. This is my first ship assignment in 6 years. I was ground forces during that time."
"I don't know when we will leave for the training grounds. Judging form the way he has the us getting her ready I'd say maybe a day or two at most. I really look forward to seeing what she can do."

He casually and politely elbows Kelly out of the way, masking the movment from Kasia and Zarlena, and sits down in between the two women
"I only say what I think is true, Zarlena and I never really want to sit by myself, not if there is a lovely young woman nearby, like yourself.." glances at Kasia as she blushed:: "..and Kasia"
He listened further to the conversation and heard Kasia's question, "Do you think we will be ready to leave soon for the training grounds?"
He turns toward Kasia, commenting
I am pretty sure we'll all be ready for some action. I know I am"
smiles brightly at both Kasia and Zarlena, then looks to see Kelly's glass almost empty, he turns and calls for the bartender
"Bartender, another glass of Scotch for Mr. Roberts here"!
He watches as the bartender come over and refills Kelly's glass

"I've been in Starfleet for four years now, with most of those being served on starships. This is my third transfer in less then a year. I'm begining to wonder if Stafleet knows what to do with me." She comments.
"I would love to go swimming with you, do you prefer holodek programs or real water on a planet? I've always preferred the real thing, but i usually use a program that simulates the experience fairly well, do you have a favorite program." Kasia then realizes that she had been rambeling and reminds herself to slow down.
"I hope we leave soon, I've been eager to get to work, the last few days on the Tahoe were quite drug out and well...boring. It felt like we were doing nothing, which we pretty much were. Star Fleet was probably just waiting to tell us about the decommissioning."

Thomas looked over at Kasia as she asked all of them if they would be leaving soon for the training grounds. He does hope that they will get a chance to go somewhere to test the ship and to get rid of the boredom that he has. He heard the response from Melvin and Zarlena before he replied.
“I do hope that we will go soon. I find it quite boring when I am looking around the ship by myself while off duty.”, he replied.
USS Tarawa would be his second assignment since his graduation from the Starfleet Marine Academy. He still has a lot to learn when it comes assigned to different ships. Thomas is eager to be on another note worthy assignment. Something that will make him stay on his toes and alert.
Thomas finds it very interesting to learn so much about likes and dislikes from each crewmember. He did take notice of how Melvin tried to get pass Kelly to sit between Kasia and Zarlena. Thomas slightly shakes his head. “And I thought I had a problem being flirtatious.”, Thomas thinks to himself.
“I do not know of any man that likes to sit with beautiful women like these to here.”, he replied to him with his inherited Kinsely smile.

"Your on Kaisa. Like you I enjoy being at a real beach. I'm from Catalina City not far from the lake itself. I grew up swimming in that lake. But since we're on the ship so much anytime you want to your program let me know. I have one of Catalina Lake."
"I agree the last few days on the Vindicator seem to go on for ever. I knew Jen had a trick up her sleeve. I even asked her and she changed the subject."
To everyone at the table. "I say we'll be leaving for the training grounds in no more then two days. I have five credits to back that anyone else?" Playful smile as she tilts her head while her eyes sparkle with a mischievous glint.
She reaches for glass gently swirls it and then takes a sip.
