He smiled. Not too worry Lt. this will be like old times, but hopefully less time in the brig. He chuckled.

In the observation lounge prior to the away team’s arrival he reflected on the current situation. Fortunately, by the time the officers filed in the anger had subsided and a decision had been made. But as the questions poured in there was a moment of hesitation. As he felt all the eyes in the room center on him his own glazed over. “There will more than likely be quite a few security situations that will require the attention of the marines. Also, each of the relief teams will be sent in with marine escort.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Their Covering their own A@@ Someone knew they were using forced slave labor and covered it up"
"Colonel? Has anyone been able to determine if there was a common contact in Starfleet? If all the requests were received or acknowledged by an specific office or officer, it could give us a place to start at best and at worst an idea of who we should be particularly careful of." -------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You’re absolutely right Private. And to answer your question Lieutenant no, there doesn’t appear to be a common thread since the slave labor was enforced.”
A brief pause ensued. Leave it to a Romulan to ask the one question he didn’t want to answer; he should have seen that coming. It would seem that the years were catching up with him. Five years ago he wouldn’t have made such a careless mistake. But there was no turning back now and there was no potential benefit in continuing to exclude the truth any further. After clearing his throat he began to speak. “However, we do know who served as the Starfleet liaison when the slave labor was first implemented. It was me. But that was a long time ago. I had my orders, and now I giving you yours. Before we leave the sector, those miners will have their freedom.”

Thomas listened to what the others had to say and the answers that LtCol MacDougall had for them. He could only understand their anger, but he didn't want the anger to get in the way to do what they needed to do. He was practicaly stunned of what he said about who was the SF Liason.
"Forgive me for asking this, but who is the nut that gave you the orders not to interceed?", he asked him.
Thomas understood that LtCol MacDougall had his orders. He had no resentment against him. Only the idiots that gave him the orders.

Listening to the Lt.Col then to Thomas Question Slamming his fist onto the table "You had your orders! and found nothing wrong with making people Slaves!" he yells looking at the Lt.Col "So orders come down when we get their to exterminate the Slaves will you follow that order like a god Tin Solider!" he says
leaning back "As I see it the Federation has no Rights to condemn the Cardassions for the way they treated the Bajorains, or the Romulans for treatment of the Remen, as we make slaves when it suites us" he says with an Attitude

Justin listened intently and was only suprised that it was him that was the SF liason at that time of the Dominon War or near the end of it, but he was not at all suprised that he was given orders about the slave labor. Although, LtCol MacDougall could have turned the ones that ordered him in to the proper auhorities.
He turned to look over towards Thomas. Although he was quite curious who it was as well, but he also knew that there were other things that are more important at the moment.
"Regardless who told him, this currently mission is more important at the moment.", he said to Thomas. Justin turned to look towards LtCol MacDougall.
"How long before we get to Algol IV?", he asked LtCol MacDougall.

She simply nodded her understanding of the Colonel's situation. It was one she was personally familiar with and rather than empathize with the miner's plight, she knew too well what a difficult position MacDougall had just been placed in.

After reporting to sickbay, she finds a girl of about 10 years old on a biobed. She scans the girl, finding evidence of old injuries as well as her current sickness. Kyah asks for a nurse's assistance as she gives the girl water and talks to her. She finds out they had been on a mining colony under virtual slave labor, but her group had escaped and started looking for help. They had taken a Starfleet ship and left the crew on an M class planet, the same one Kyah had found on scans.
She writes down what she finds out and sends it in a text message to the bridge, so she can add a map of the scans she had taken earlier. She then goes back to trying to help people.

Kestra saw Kyah moved from one patient to another. With the amount of patients that were in the sickbay, she understood that everyone was nearly busy. She cleared her throat and gentle tapped on Kyah's shoulder.
"Would you need some help?", she replied to Kyah with a gentle smile.

He raised a brow at the privates remark, but otherwise remained calm. While part of him wanted to reprimand Greathouse for his remarks, but decided against it. “During the first year of the Dominion War the Federation’s deuterium reserves were totally depleted. We don’t have time to go into details, but nearly seven thousand officers died as a direct result of it’s absence. Somewhere up the chain of command above the Fleet Admiral in charge of Starfleet Security the order was given to acquire the deuterium by any means necessary.”
“Then the order was passed down to my CO from a Commodore McDonavan. After he, the XO, and the SO were stripped of their commission for filing charges against the Commodore, charges that were instantly dropped, and refusing to comply the decision was left to me.”
“Since it was obvious that there was nothing I could do to change their resolve I had hoped that my compliance would afford me some credibility. Credibility I could use to ensure that the opression didn’t last beyond the Dominion War.”
“When it came to an end I was promised by that the practice would be dissolved after the war and when the time came I was given several assurances that it had been taken care of. Two days later I was reassigned to the Gamma Quadrant.”

Kasia continues to listen to MacDougall, she wasnt sure why she was here, other then being someone from medical to be represented. She wonders where all the doctors are that they had to come to the head nurse for the meeting.

As he sits and Listens to the Lt.Col he see his body language, in his mind he thinks "Good one keep it up and you'll be just a Prvt."
When the Lt.Col finishes David takes a breath "I'm sorry Sir, I have a habit of talking first and thinking latter" he says as he looks at him "My comments were out of line Sir....We must Free these people, I will understand if you wish I not be part of the mission Sir"

She sees the counselor approach and ask if they need help. "Of course... I'm only here to pitch in temporarily, and find out a few first hand accounts of what happened. It's easier than pondering the sensor grid to glean details."
She bustles over to the replicator and orders some food and drinks to distribute to patients.

He rose from his seat and responded to David’s apology, “You’re damn right you were out of line. But you’re not the first person this situation has gotten the best of and I doubt you’ll be the last. Take us to yellow alert and prep sickbay for incoming. Dismissed.”
