Nothing as it seems

When Moon gave the Major the report on the transmission she looked at him.

"Thanks Moon, my console was acting up and it seems alright to be alright now."

Just to be sure, she tapped on her comm badge.

"Engineering this is MCapt Dorius at helm. I linked into ops and my console was acting up. Delaying the incoming transmissions, please have that fixed. Also can anything further be done to clear up the transmissions? I know the area is not transmission friendly."

"Engineering Sgt Johnson, Capt Dorius. I'll report that to Lt Kinsely and we'll get to that asap. Sgt Johnson out."

[Major Sandra Iverson]

When she entered sickbay the Cpl stood at AA, she motioned for him to sit down. She stood out of the way as the nurse finished the preliminary exam.

Then the EMH Doc Smith was activated. After his examination, she was told what happened.

Seems the Cpl returned to the ship, faining a broken leg to cover the fact he was transporting a vial. Which was given to the Medical department for examination.

"Good work Cpl. Get cleaned up and then report to my office in 30 mins." She smiled at him, "I am really glad your ok. Seems there should be some kind of something when you take a day off your MCO's life over worry." She laughed at her own joke. The Cpl laughed with her at the slight joke.

She made her way back to her office where Cpl Kinsely was waiting for her. As she walked in she looked at him, he rose and stood at attention.

"As you were, Cpl. Are you ready to give me your report? And where is your away mission partner?"

[Sergant Thomas Kinsely]

Thomas looked over to see Major Iverson walking back in and quickly stood up at attention. Went at ease after she told him to go at ease.

"Yes, Ma'am.", he would say, handing her his PADD with the report on it. Then he noticed his Marine partner behind her and nodded in her direction. "She is currently right behind you, Ma'am.", he would continue to say to her.

He would not yet tell her the report until she told him to report on it. His Marine partner would step inside of the office and went directly at attention.

[1st Lieutenant Justin Kinsely]

Justin was just about finishing up with the details of the remote devices when Sgt Johnson came up to him and reported him about the problem. He nodded and tapped the finial information on his PADD and went over to one of the other engineering consoles. He moved his fingers across the console, running a few diagnostics to see what was causing the delays in the incoming transmission. He noticed that one of the communicator relay systems needed to be recalibrated.

He would fix the problem by simply recalibrating, placing them in synch with the other communicator relays. Once he was through fixing the problem, the delay in any incoming transmissions should be fixed, along with clearing up any transmissions by 3% more clearer.

Justin taps his badge. “Cpt Dorius, I was able to fix the problem. There shouldn’t be any more problems in delays in transmissions. I was only able to clear the transmission by 3%. It is better than none..”, he replied to her.

[1st Lt Kestra Elbrun]

Kestra would listen to Moon and Major Aniri as they talked, waiting for Major Aniri to take her PADD with her report on it. She felt her throat to be a little ticklish and would clear her throat just a bit. After clearing her throat, the tickling feeling went away. She looked back at Major Aniri and smiled at her.

“You may find this report somewhat interesting, Ma’am”, she spoke up again.

She has heard a lot of things from children and other people. After spending some time down at the colonies, she definitely knew that something was not right at all and someone had to be behind it. Even her ‘senses’ were telling her something or someone was still there or watching.

“I also want to add that, while I was there, I could ‘sense’ something or someone still there or near by, Ma’am. When I stopped by one of the taverns, I felt like that I was being watched, but wasn’t for sure why I was. My senses were telling me that there were a lot of truths behind the children’s rhymes. It is a possibility that it could be someone larger than an Orion or maybe someone small like Ferengi.”

She paused for a moment, her head popped back just only slightly, tilting her head a bit, as if she gotten an idea. “I just realize something. Some Orions and Ferengi could be working together, Ma’am”, she continued to say to her.

Her comm badge beeped and she answered it.

"Capt Dorius here, thank you Lt Kinsely. I knew it would be short work for you. And 3 percent is great. What we do with out you? Dorius out."

Ta'Mak nodded to the doc and the Major he walked out of sickbay, and into the nearest turbolift he called for his quarters. after a few seconds wait he walk off the lift, and moved to his quarters where he would change into back his marine uniform. He then moved to the desk where he gets started on writing up his report.

"I hope i get more of these missions" Ta'Mak said to himself



He stands and goes to where he keeps his live food and grabs 5 of the rats and eats them right then and there afterwards. he walks back to his desk picks up the report and walks out of his quarters and makes his way to the marine deck to make his report to the major after a short wait in the lift he stops outside of the mjor office and he rereads the report while he waits for her to say he can come in.

[Major Jaylas Aniri]

She listened to Lt Elbrun as she gave her observations in the form of her empathy and some telepathy as well. She nodded, and then when Elbrun drew her conclusion she looked up.

"I have to agree with you. From your report the idea of Oriens and Ferengi's working together makes perfect sense. But for what purpose?"

"Lt Kinsely, your theory on what the contraband is, ties in perfectly, with what we know of the opportunistic nature of those races."

"But I wonder if there is another involved? It should be interesting to see what else we discover. Excellent work Lt Elbrun."

She sat back, and tapped her armrest as she thought, her antenna moving slightly and then picking up as she analyzed the new information.

[Lt Cmdr Melvin Moon]

He smiled at Zarlena as she turned to him and thanked him for picking up the transmission due to her console being slow

"Anytime, Zarlena. I'd do anything for you" He gave her a playful wink

[Major Sandra Iverson]

She takes her seat and nods at the other officer.

"Lets begin the report." she looks at the padd and scans it while he begins his verbal report. As they give the report she takes notes to compile this into one report to give to Major Aniri.

[Major Jaylas Aniri]

She tapped on her comm badge.

"Lt Saris, report to Major Iverson to give your combined report with Cpl Ta'Mak. After that report to the bridge."

[Sergant Thomas Kinsely]

Thomas nodded and cleared his throat a bit before giving his report. "Private 1st Class and I decided to head towards the local taverns after being transported down. There has been rate of accidents that approached to 41%. Way too hight for mere coincidence for my taste, Ma'am.

We continued to talk and listen to find out that there was a Fergeni that owned the Tavern that we went to. There has been at least 3 minors reported being sick, bringing that up to 21%. The local labor wants a full scale investigation, but for some reason, someone is blocking the process, not wanting the management to find out.

We also noticed that there were three people in a booth that seemed very ood. We didn't approach them, but I did have a bad feeling that something was wrong with them.

There were a few miners and other works that came in and talked about a few strange shipments that have been received and disappeared. My guess would be that someone definetly does not want anything found out, Ma'am.", he would say, finishing up with his report.

[1st Lt Kestra Elbrun]

"It is always a possiblity someone else could be involved, Ma'am. For what purpose...It is something I am not for sure myself.", Kestra replied to her.

Kestra knew that they were up to something, but does not yet know why. In due time, with investigation, they will find out who and why they want to do something so like that.

"I am only curious, but do you believe that we should go to yellow alert, Ma'am?", she asked.

Justin would study the information that he gotten from the remote devices. He noticed of how some are Federation, Klingon, Romulan and various other remote devices. He lifts his head up trying to think who could get their hands on such devices. He would tap his badge.

"1st Lt Kinsely to Major Aniri...I have something that might interest you, Ma'am. The remote devices that I picked up were from variety different places. Example... I have a few that are Federation, some that are Klingons and some that are Romulans. A few that I'm still finding looking through who could made them. The only ones that could get their hands on these devices are probably someone who wants to profit in money. They do go off at certain times on different days. Henceforth why there were growing numbers of accidents.", he would say, pausing only for a moment.

"Also, in order for these to work, whoever activated these remotely has to be near by, Ma'am.", he continued to say.

[Major Sandra Iverson]

When he finished she looked up at him.

"I see. Any idea on who wants the investigation quelled? Perhaps an outside force unrelated to management?"

"All of this seems to be done to stall or slow down work." She looks thoughtful. "Most of the incidents you say revolve around the mine. Which makes sense considering what they are mining."

"I want you to report to sick bay for a full physical."

"Anything you want to add? And you know, this is not to be discussed outside of my office." Her eyebrow raises and her voice changes to emphasize the importance of what she just said.
