He listened to what Riov has said over the comm link and would proceed in his further duties. Running through some last minute scans. He would look over to see the beta shift crew coming into engineering. Vrih straighten himself up and would head over to the engineer that was the head of the beta shift. Proceeded to give him the reports from his shift, letting him know that the cloaking device was already repaired and also about the delay time in the shields that was corrected.
Once he was through debriefing him, Vrih begins to make his way out of engineering, heading his way towards the Lhil (lounge). His stomach was already letting him know that it was time to eat. Plus, he seems to think better on a full stomach.

"Maenek Cunningham to Arrian Vrih Hwersuil, Come in Daise'etreh'rhe (chief engineer)." S.Gale's voice coming over the com clearly, "We have a bio-bed down, not part of the exercise as far as I know. We need this fixed as soon as possible; I would hate to have to tend more than what we already have coming in without it. Please to send someone up here to fix it, hann'yyo."

The Ferengi engineer hummed an old tune which he heard on the last hew-man starbase he was at. He often did this to help him focus. He concentrated on his task at hand. The Inertial Dampening Field was fluctuating around the Dhivael's QS Drive.
It was considered basic maintenance but the problem of having a minute black-hole powering a ship meant that even the smallest of fluctuations in the Inertial Dampening Field could be disastrous. As fascinating as Quol found the whole engine design he could understand why Starfleet and most other space-faring civilizations would stay away from it.
Yet, when he thought of it, the Ferengi couldn't help but think of the 62nd Rule of Acquisition The riskier the road, the greater the profit. He shook the thought from his head and pressed on with the maintenance.
His left lobe twitched as a bead of sweat touched it as the droplet cascaded down the back of his bald head. He recalled hearing that the Chief Engineer... some Romulan whose name he couldn't really remember... had been transfered suddenly. Romulans have an absurd number of syllables in their names. It is even worse than hew-mans. It is ridiculous. Why can't they have strong names like Brak, Frug, or Rygar, he wondered silently.
He never paid much attention to the Romulans around him, or even the few other Starfleet officers he had encountered... Idly he thought that maybe he remembered seeing an Andorian and possibly a Bajorn... Mostly he kept to himself and found satisfaction in all the new technology he was learning about during his past 8 months with the Officer Exchange program.
It had been over a year since the USS Crazy Horse, his last Starfleet ship, was decommissioned suddenly. Afterward he looked to expanding his horizons and put in for the OE Program. The 6 months he spent aboard that Klingon Bird-of-Prey was probably the most unpleasant time of his life, and their technology was hardly as impressive as Romulan tech, but at least their food was more edible than hew-man dishes.
He had been happy when he was transfered to the Dhivael. Getting a chance to look inside a Romulan Quantum Singularity Drive was one of the main reasons he had joined the program to begin with. Ironically after so much time aboard the Romulan vessel the Ferengi was beginning to have his fill of the fascinating engine... since it almost constantly required maintaining... an often tedious job with over the past months was more often-than-not falling more and more to the non-Romulan engineer.
Truthfully, Quol never much cared or even noticed the prejudice, but he was just getting sick of the lack of down-time. He missed his books of theory or working on his own experiments and devices. Things, he seemed to be doing less and less over the passing months, but he supposed such was the price of knowledge.
He closed up the panel after completing his work and packed up his tools as he moved on to the next project.
