Its not a welcoming place for me. There's really nothing to return to. So my plans are to start a new life.

The short story is that I've been excommunicated by my people,a social and religious ostracizing. I could live there as a hermit I suppose, but its not appealing.

It has been. He takes a sip of tea. But I look at it like this. It afforded me the chance to come here and open up a new world. I like to think the universe has some order too and things happen for a reason. For instance, my meeting you has been a great pleasure.

So do you just do things like show the uninitiated which way is up or do you have other duties?

I do Operations and starfleet trained me for that, well they trained me to do it their way. I also have a demolitions background and engineering. I served in the Starfleet corp of engineers briefly. I'm not a doctor but I am a fair field medic.

They do because any0oe aspire to command must have a working understanding of each station and every department.
