"Another transfer. This time the Daise'Paectum." (Chief Engineer).
It was at least a consolation that here at the station it would be easier to find or request a replacement. The inquiry was scheduled for morning and though her concern had been lessened knowing of the station commander's support there were many other factors that carried weight in determining the outcome. One in particular would be the Khrein's report and whether she had given a positive or negative review of their performance.
"Assuming the best, I need to begin looking for a replacement as soon as possible. I would not like to leave here without a new officer in position."

His brows furrowed slightly as she told him that the Daise'Paectum has now transferred. That was not a good position to lose, especially for the missions that this vessel were assigned, The last one coming to mind "I see" he simply said
"Assuming the best, I need to begin looking for a replacement as soon as possible. I would not like to leave here without a new officer in position."
He gave a nod of agreement, he wouldn't like to leave either short handed. "Should the need arise, do we have any saehne-a to transfer from another ta ( position ) to replace the Daise'Paectum?

"I can promote one of the lower ranking officers, ie, until either a replacement is found or he proves himself worthy of retaining the position permanently. I intend to review the personnel in that section to find out who there might qualify."
She nodded to Zareth, not quite a dismissal but her mind had shifted inexorably back to her responsibilities.

He listened to what she said "I can promote one of the lower ranking officers, ie, until either a replacement is found or he proves himself worthy of retaining the position permanently. I intend to review the personnel in that section to find out who there might qualify."
He gave a nod "It is as you say, Lhhei. Should you need my assistance, I will be available"
with that, he bowed to her and moved to exit her quarters

As soon as Zareth had exited, she called up the personnel files for Engineering. Not caring to spend the rest of the evening reviewing them one by one, she narrowed the fields; time in service, level of knowledge and expertise required and associated commendations. Only one name flashed on her screen..erei'Arrain Quol. Resetting the search, she asked for the officer after that who would be most qualified. The answer was even less pleasing. There was a wide gap in experience between the two. There was no time this evening to meet with the junior engineer. It would have to wait until she had finished with the inquiry. She sent out the order however. erei'Arrain Quol, a Ferengi, to be promoted to the position of Daise'Paectum (Chief Engineer), effective immediately.

Quol returned to his quarters after his shift. In truth he didn't much care for Romulan quarters, but he had tried to make it his home over the past several months. As he passed Quol slipped a small bribe into the small golden statue of the Blessed Exchequer on the far wall of the room. he came to his desk and noticed that he had a message.
Moving the blueprint of Dr. Reyga’s metaphasic shielding out of the way, his eye caught on an old paper-made book written by a hew-mon named Hawkings. The message forgotten, he became engrossed in the text. It was another 15 mins before he remembered the waiting message, and even when he did it still took 5 mins to put the book back.
Placing the old text back on the shelf among his old paper written science books, various PADDs of scientific theories, and his complete list of the Rules of Acquisition. Finally he opened up his terminal and read the official communication.
He had to read it several times before he completely understood it. He was being promoted to... Chief Engineer... Quol wasn't quite sure what to do next so he sat down on his bed and looked at his nearly completed model of the positronic brain.

She entered her quarters after observing the crew for awhile. She was impressed, there were a few who held resentments on both sides. However they didn't allow these to interfere with the ship or the goals of the Alliance.
Each Rihannsu knew this was not a time for failure, they were expected to show the Federation what it was and is to be Rihannsu. And this they were doing.
And to give insight into what the Rihannsu Galae' and Gal'Shian. The best way to achieve this was not by reading research materials, but by living it. And for those who figured out that she is Tal'Shiar to see them as well in the light of truth.
There was so much to be learned. On both sides, the potential for growth was enormous. The task was to find a way to learn these truths while maintaining the Alliance.
She stopped her thinking, sat down and went to work on her reports.

After entering her quarters she went into the sleeping area and lying down on the bed she took out her book. As she started to read the conversation in the lounge entered her mind. She considered what was said and had to admit she enjoyed the game if wits.
Rihannsu have always enjoyed games of wit, that many especially in the Federation took as a form of verbal sparring. She got a glass of water then returned to her book.

As she began her mediation she considered her meeting with T'vlack. It was nice working with her even if it was limited. But as usual after one of these meetings she was left with things to consider.
And this was the basis of her mediation.

She was seated at the desk in the make shift office area of her quarters. Sahen just left, Salissa entered some notes on a file that was secured by her personal access code that she used when not in her office at High Command. She was impressed at the young officer and saw her as one to who would make a path and name for herself.
She took the data chip given to her by Sahen and view it again. Her mind racing rapidly with the changing images. She would wait patiently while the Riov gathered her information, but in the meantime she would gather her own.

She was in her quarters reviewing the latest sub space communication from home. She smiled at the news of her sisters impeding bonding. After thinking for a few minutes she sent a response, informing her sister that she would attend if at all possible.
She got something to eat and then decided she would take a walk and allow her impulse to take her where it would.

She was in her quarters/office going over information she just learned. She stopped and looked up drinking her kali-fal absently, as her mind worked on this new Intel. It was from the New York orginally and then the Talvath a science vessel shortly afterwards. She sent a message on her closed and secured channel to the New York and waited for its response.
She was also growing impatient and concerned over the Riov-a lack of reports on the incident. She had learned far more then most had any idea she had. As she continued her musing her eyebrow rose slightly. Her bodyguard noticed this and moved into the other room silently.
