She was born May 16, 2349 to her parents, upon her native planet of Betazed. She remained with them throughout her primary schooling, until the age of 16, when she applied for, and was accepted with the Orion Syndicate as a Medical Technician¡¦s assistant.
Her first year was rough, as she had not ever served in this capacity before. So, she floundered with attempting to explore all avenues while at the same time meet all expectations of her skills (which were to this point non-existant). Her superior finally came to her aid in selecting the medical and psychological basics for her to start with. As even during this time she had been attempting to give aid to her fellow crewmates for emotional turmoil and the minor traumas accompanying the daily routine of running the ship.
Once her course had been set, she soon began excelling in her work, finding pleasure in performing the assignments given to her. Soon, it was apparent that she was Called to the medical field, and the ship she was serving on requested she gain further teachings. In return for their recommendation to Trill, where she could receive the most current of technological treatment strategies, the required her to return after she finished and serve for an additional 5 years.
Upon reaching Trill, she first studied in the treatment centers, but again her Calling was noted. She was allowed to enter the Mak'ala School in Biochemistry and bioengineering where she began taking a full regiment of classes. Along the way, she also found interest related to the cultural studies and music in the arts.
Upon her graduation, she returned to the ship which sponsored her, and began serving her time. However, this was cut short as her Captain was killed while on leave. Fearing for her life, she fled the Allied space for her native Free space, but decided soon after that she was a doctor, and everyone deserved the best of care. Rather than remain where she could not support herself, she turned to Imperial space after some research. Soon there after, she had signed her first contract, and began her tenure with in the Empire.
2374 - Assigned to the Khittimer Research Station as an ensign. Though she had a burning desire to experience everything she could, she remained at the station for 3 years serving as an Assistant Medical Officer, and aiding the Station Counselor.
2375 - She was given her first promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade after receiving several commendations for her work in assisting the Counselor.
2375 - Offered and accepted the position as the full time Counselor after Counselor Mnarie retired from service.
2376 - Promoted to Lieutenant after receiving several commendations in her efforts to maintain a balanced emotional atmosphere in the station, and to provide cultural and musically appropriate entertainment.
2378 - Won her way onto the crew of the SS Defiant in recognition of her medical knowledge upon returning to Imperial space after her training had been completed.
Though she was kept busy, both with the station personnel requesting sessions with her, and with arranging for the Station¡¦s cultural, and musical calendars to be filled, she found herself unsatisfied with station life, soon becoming bored.
She requested, and received clearance to transfer, the only post available was Earth, where she was to assume the roll as the assistant Counselor again. However, upon her arrival in 2377, she received news that her mother had become ill. Uncertain if her mother would recover she requested a leave of absence, and returned home.
Upon her mother¡¦s recovery, she returned, and was re-instated on Earth, but the position of Counselor had been filled during her absence. Instead, she assumed the roll of Assistant Medical Officer for the station. Her tenure was to be cut short, as the position upon the Defiant which had recently been finished was offered to her. She accepted, and was transferred upon the Defiant¡¦s most recent stop over.
Hobbies and Interests
- She is a noted Harpist, though has had little time to play, preferring the late 18th and early 19th century composers as arranged for orchestra.
- She has had training on the Bass, Cello, and Viola along with some amateur training upon the tuned steel drums of the Terran Caribbean, and the native stringed Betazed instruments.
- She has grown to enjoy the Terran colloquial plays, such as " My Fair Lady¨, " The King and I¨, " The Music Man ¨, and " Cat's Cradle ¨ Of the late 20th, and early 21st centuries. Though she has had exposure to several different species plays, she prefers the Terran style over any others.
- She has some interest in the still arts, but has found very little time to explore what is available, and still reserves judgement as to her preferred style.
