As he was talking his eye caught Lt.Suder and his wife enter Ten Forward.They took a seat near them.Lt.Suder seemed more interesting in helping his wife than talking to them but that was understandable.He also noticed they had brought their children.
He raised a brow his point being made about children and civilians being aboard ship.The chances of their paternal instincts would be great if the ship were ever in serious danger.
It was not he disliked children in fact he loved and revered them.In his mind they were the complete future for all races.When he became old and unable to perform his duties to the Empire on a ship then it would be the children's chance to step up and take control.
Taking a deep drink from his ale he looked around Ten Forward and listened to the conversation.

She entered Ten Forward with her mate and their two children. She was pushing Lon and he was contented to just lay in the stroller. She smiled at everyone at the table and sat down with everyone. David helpted her aways concerned with her movements. More so since this was her first time out of quarters since the birth. Looking around the table she noded, Hello
Once she was seated she looked up at her mate and spoke, Water would be fine, thank you Lon started to get a bit fussy not wanting to sit still in the stroler, so she picked him up out of it and put him in her arm gently touching the side of his face with her finger. Once he calmed she spoke to everyone at the table, Will have to forgive David he is a bit concerned with my choice of walking distance today. I trust that everyone is well.

She smiled at his response. "I think you would do well. All children require the same, food, drink, play, sleep and attention."
Seeing infants on a starship was still very new to her. This was not allowed on Rihannsu ships. But it did add a special feel to the ship. Would she want hers on one, no the risk factor would be too high.
But she understood the Federations reason for this and it seemed to work well for them.

Chuckling,"IE perhaps you are correct Arrenhe I do have a how is it said ?A soft spot for children in my heart.Someday I hope to have and adopt children.There is plenty of time for that however I am still young."

As he guided Jane and the twins to the table, he sensed he got the attention of the other occupants, the 2 romulans and Mrs Hanson, to whom they were speaking
Jane asked him to get some water and he nodded, with a smile and went over to get some ice water, and some orange juice for him
Coming back over, he gave a polite nod to the two romulans "Jolan'tru" then nodded to Zandile "Hello Zandile. I trust you and your little one are doing well"?
As he offered and sat down Jane's water in front of her, he heard Lon fuss a little and Jane pick him up and comfort him. He also heard Yhea comment that someday he would like to have, or adopt, children for him own someday
He turned to Yhea as he sat next to Jane, pulling Jemma over to his side "I think it is more satisfying to have children born from a successful union" such as his and Jane's

He was lost in his thoughts when he noticed David and Jane along with the Babies joined them.
"Jolan'tru Jane and David" he then looks at the babies "Jolan'tru Lon and Jemma " he smiles to them
"I hope I didn't missing anything I was lost in thought"

"I apologize LT. Suder I did not explain myself very well.I meant after I was bonded to my mate whoever she shall be before I want children.As far as adoption it is the only way on Ch'Rihan.We do not believe or have orphanages or foster children in the Empire."
"All children if orphaned are immediately adopted by another member of the family.If none exist then another family steps in and adopts.Once adopted they are not called step children or any such thing they are immediate loved members of the family."

He glanced toward Ejiul as he seemed to snap out of being in a trance. He greeted the twins, Jane and himself "That's quite alright, Ejiul. I am sure the maenek occupied most of your lost thoughts" He chuckled in humor

That is very commendable to adopt an orphaned child, so that he or she isn't placed in a Foster home. No child deserved to grow up like that, feeling unloved. Every child deserves to grow up feeling loved and in a family environment"
He then looked at his own twins, thinking how special they are to him

He arches his eyebrow at Davids comment, then a small smile crosses his lips "That she does"
He listens to Yhea and David and the taking a chance he looks at David "May I hold Jemma?"

She had to smile at Ejiul he was always very interested in her well being since she came on board.
I don't think that it would hurt Jemma to be held by her godfather, do you?
She was certain that Lon was calmed down before she took a drink of her ice water and gently kept holding him so he wouldn't start back up and disrupt the table.

He seen Ejiul's brow raise as he was denying his assumption but then he smiled confirming it. He couldn't help but laugh
Ejiul asked if he could hold Jemma and he arched his own brow a bit. He nodded a bit as Jane commented "No, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to hold her" he said casually then leaned in and gently picked up Jemma to hand over to Ejiul

Zan smiles, "It's ok. You don't have to babysit."
She nods and greets the Suders when they enter and she responds to David. "Yes, we are all doing just fine. I went back to my training very quickly." She looks over at her boys at the nearby table. It seems Gregor was causing trouble. "Excuse me everyone, I've got to bailout the hubby."
She goes back to the table and picks up Gregor.

He looks at everyone looking at him "Vah?" he cradles Jemma in his arms, he goes back to talking to her

Smiling,"Ejiul you seem to have a natural inclination at holding children.I am the God Father to Lt.Commander Danrea's child,but she does not come here anymore it seems."
"Well we have all found a very important commonality it seems.There is nothing more precious than children and that is a good thing to agree upon."
