Ship news
USS Aryes NCC 81204
Each week a crew member is given a chance to Co until Admiral Taylar returns form her LOA.
Last Monday the Admiral meet with her crew for ways to energize this ship. It was decided by the crew to move the Tues at 10 pm. We wish this ship well, and know she will once again become the great ship she was. She has a upstanding core of officers to build from.
USS New York 71868
Continues on the mercy mission to Acamar III. They now have an away team on the surface consisting of 3 Doctors and security personnel. The Doctors are treating them for a pandemic virus. And dispensing food.
They discovered the planet atmosphere is filled with nanonites and that is now believed to be the cause for the famine. The outer hull of the New York infected by them. They are still there assisting the Acamarians.
The New York now has an XO Lt Commander Heath MaIc, congrads and best wishes.
101st Marine Pathfinders
The 101st is happy to report Major Fox was proven to be innocent of treason. It was discovered to be a set up. Star Fleet is now pursuing the one responsible for the set up.
And they continue to halt the rebellion.
USS Pegasus NCC 25347
After getting the scroll for Magica, she in her usual flamboyant manner snapped herself off the Pegasus and put the ship back in the present time line. Many on the crew who were not original to the ship find themselves in a state of confusion. General Weslynes plans on sending a debriefing out to the various department heads to help any crew members who need it.
And now the helm will not respond. They should be headed to a developing hot spot near the Cardassian boarder but instead they find themselves on a course to Delta 12.
We wish the Pegasus luck. She maybe needing an abundance of it.
USS Frontier NCC 11385
The Frontier is still on a course headed to Vulcan in an attempt to get Samek back for a personal reason. While we still haven't be told what it is, we know he will die if he can't get back in time.
While on the way they discovered they are being followed.
We wish them luck and pray that Samek returns in time.
Board sims
USS Vindicator NCC 16052
Communications are still at best intermittent, and mostly down. This was one of the reasons Tolnac II was chosen as a Marine intensive training facility. Along with the sudden ion storms, volcanic activity, and the heat from the 2 suns.
They are now under a surprise attack by the Lyrans and the Marines are defending the base with the courage, skills, and determination that makes the Marines who they are.
They've had some causalities.
We wish them well and a speedy victory.
USS Terrasect NCC 70000
They are on course for the Romulan Neutral Zone, to pick up a guest. At this time I am unable to report further on this. But the ship and the crew are working well and there hasn't been any difficulties.
For those visiting the Terrasect, I would suggest you state what kind of meat you want your steak, burger etc. When in Noog's establishment.

New recruits
The USS New York has gotten a new recruit. He's on the officer exchange program with Romulas. We welcome Ensign Yhea T Heinteh he will serve as the ships VS.
The USS Frontier welcomes Meryl Alatini. She will receive her rank and post when she reports in for her first sim.

Promotions
The New York reports two promotions this week. The first is to former Lt Heath MaIc, who is now Lt Commander and XO of the New York. We wish him well.
The second promotion on the New York is to Ensign Vanessa Montag to the rank of Lt jg. Lots of luck Lt.

Transfers
The New York reports that Ensign Jake Malor requested and was granted a transfer off the New York to the Terrasect. The crew of the New York wish him well and hope to read his adventures aboard the Terrasect soon.

Interview of the week
The member who is chosen for this will be chosen at random. If your online and I'm doing the newsletter be ready.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:30 P.M.]: Major Keith Fox your the Commanding officer on the 101st Marine Pathfinders. What do you hope to get out of it and to give back to Star Fleet?
Lt Keith Fox [6:32 P.M.]: I hope to get a sense of pride out of what I do. I have rank and medals, neither of which mean anything to me as long as I help someone. I hope to get out of the experience a sense of teamwork and some friends from the units I've served in.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:34 P.M.]: Why did you join Star Fleet Marines?
Lt Keith Fox [6:35 P.M.]: I joined to see the galaxy, I was only 18 when I joined and fresh out of school and I wanted a challenge, something to help me turn my life into the right direction, so when the recruiter came up, I signed up quick.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:37 P.M.]: I see you where in the Military Police at one time, before being stationed on a star ship as Chief Security. Which do you like the most and why?
Lt Keith Fox [6:38 P.M.]: I liked being military police more than chief of security. MP duty let you get hands on training for ground level issues. Not to mention it was easier to find dates on the ground than it was on a ship.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:39 P.M.]: What interest and hobbies do you have when not on duty?
Lt Keith Fox [6:40 P.M.]: I do some activities on the holodeck, I read some and I exercise.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:41 P.M.]: Now here's something I know the ladies would be interested in. Are you married or have someone special in your life?
Lt Keith Fox [6:41 P.M.]: Not at the moment.
Lt Keith Fox [6:42 P.M.]: But I am looking
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:42 P.M.]: Someone as good looking as you should have no problems.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:43 P.M.]: What would you to tell the membership about yourself?
Lt Keith Fox [6:44 P.M.]: I'd tell them that I'm a hard worker, and I love being here. I'd like to also let my crew know that they are the best and I wouldn't trade leaving them for anything.
Jenina Weslynes1 [6:46 P.M.]: I'd like to thank you for your time. Have a wonderful evening Major.
Lt Keith Fox [6:46 P.M.]: Thank you general, you too.

Notes: Among the latest of Star fleet's fighter craft designs, the Lightning small size and speed indicates a continuation of carrier-based designs . The Lightning is based off from the SR-71 black Bired. From the 20th century. Mark Micheal designed it from that to make her a multi-role fighter (an assertion made more obvious by the integration of 2 recessed payload bays able to carry anything from mines to torpedoes to probes). Capable of a tight turning radiuses at aerial speeds of up to 18,500 meters per second, a squadron of Lightning's can dodge enemy fire well enough to quickly & easily achieve dominance over the skies of most known worlds. Although mission requirements and overall weight restrictions forced the designers to sacrifice some warpspeed & armor. Lightning suffers little loss of spaceflight maneuverability and actually enjoys a somewhat longer cruising range due to increased fuel efficiency at its higher warpspeeds. Plus, the addition of a "Sneaky Pete" ECM Pod and an aftward-firing phaser array makes the Lightning far more slippery and deadly in a dogfight with other fighters or small craft.

Trek Humor
Why Captain Janeway is Better Than Captain Picard
1) One word: hair
2) More hair than all previous Star Trek commanding officers combined.
3) Drinks coffee, not that sissy "Earl Grey" stuff.
4) Beams down to the planet like real Captains should.
5) Mutes the doctor when the doctor gets out of line.
6) Hasn't let an adolescent pilot the Federation flagship -- yet.
7) Commanded ships blown up: Picard: 2 Janeway: 0
8) Voyager needs a female Captain. Its Captain must be willing to admit they're lost and pull over for directions.
9) Picard likes to talk his way through. Janeway likes to punch her way through.
10) Hasn't quoted Shakespeare -- yet.
11) Looks better in sleepwear.
12) Gives guilt trips that would make a Jewish mother proud.
13) Isn't French with an English accent.
14) "Take this cheese to sickbay!"
15) Will give you two days off to ponder your lifeshattering experience.
16) Janeway says "I don't like you!" to her enemies instead of trying to convince them to behave better.
17) To comfort children, Janeway cares for them in a loving motherly way. Picard sings a song... in French... about a monk... who can't wake up for morning bells.
18) The only children on Voyager can be turned off at will.
19) Janeway has a First Officer with a tattoo.
20) She doesn't have any pesky Federation Admirals to get in her way.
21) Three words: Compression Phaser Rifles.
22) Acknowledges freely when she breaks the Prime Directive instead of trying to weasel her way out of it with philosophical ramblings.
23) 15 episodes without surrendering the ship.
24) 15 episodes and Wesley has yet to save the ship.
25) Janeway's holo programs create useful things like doctors and lungs. Picard's holodecks create maniacal evil geniuses who yet again take over the ship.
26) She doesn't need to straighten her uniform every time she stands.
27) Janeway has never worn green tights and frolicked about in Sherwood Forest. However, if she did, she would look fantastic!
28) Kirk looked good in ripped shirts; Picard looked good without a shirt; Janeway would look... no, they can't do that on network television.
29) Cheese
30) Doesn't force her crew to wear awful outfits, unless it is to blend in with a primitive planet.
31) She doesn't waste time learning foreign languages. All lifeforms in the Delta Quadrant speak perfect English.
32) Her engineer does not wear a banana clip over her eyes.
33) Slouches in her chair even in critical life-threatening moments.
34) Doesn't have a Counselor on board (thank God!).
35) Her telepath only lives nine years.
36) Janeway heard the words "boldly go where no man (er, woman) has gone before" and took them to the extreme.
37) Picard tells alien cultures, "I hope our two cultures will one day come to a greater understanding." Janeway threatens them with "the deadliest of force".
38) Janeway's Security Chief would never grow a ponytail.
39) The high point of Enterprise cuisine were scrambled eggs that only Worf could stomach.
40) Janeway doesn't have to point which way to go when they set off.
41) Maintains an elaborate hairdo that would baffle even Princess Leia.
42) Has mastered facial expression understood by all to mean, "Boy, Paris, are YOU ever stupid."
43) Cheese cheese cheese cheese cheese. I can't help myself!
44) Hugs her Vulcan from time to time.
45) Has a more manly voice.
46) Doesn't have a starship that splits in half when it's in a tight spot.
47) Has a dog and a significant other, not some damn fish!
48) Kes. Troi. No contest.
49) Neelix. Replicator. Ok, this one's debatable.
50) At least she doesn't have to yell "Hot!" at her cook every time she wants something to drink.
51) Her ship has neat-looking folding warp nacelles.
52) Her CONN officer actually went through the Academy.
53) Her CONN officer can use contractions.
54) Her first officer has a hallucinogenic device.
55) None of the crew members' relatives have ever tried to take over the ship, invade the Federation, steal a starship, or enslave all humankind.
56) To help her relax, Janeway's first officer helps her contact her spirit guide. Picard's first officer helps him get... to Risa.
