She was focused on her console to make sure helm had all the necessary energy and smoothness of flow it required to leave space dock. Once they were clear and she could comfortably divert her attention she tapped her keys and sent the following:
"USSS Tarrawa, thiss iss the USSS Terrrassecct. We have left the sspacce sstationn and currrenntly on ourr way to yourr loccationn."
She waited for their response and for helm to give her the ETA. The natural purr in her voice showed the usual mix of anxiety and excitement that was audible at the start of a new mission.

Crio allows himself a brief sigh of relief at hearing the Tarawa's response.
"It's good to know they're still in one piece, sir," he said with a glance toward the captain."
His glance went toward M'Leezz, and raised a brow at seeing her tail moving around in either happiness or excitement. He wasn't sure which, and made a mental note to do some extra reading on the feline races of the Federation, so that he wouldn't make mistakes in reading tail movement signs for the feelings that went with them.
"Did the Tarawa give any indication as to what medical and engineering assistance they'd most likely need?"
While he was outwardly controlling the appearance of a deep emotional response, any Betazoid or telepath would be able to pick up on a strong, internal emotional problem from him.

She was hopping around in Main Engineering as the Chief Engineer was at everyone's throat. She looked up over hearing the Commander orders for Transwarp Speed and it shook her up a little. She had heard of the USS Excalibur failed in the Transwarp tests and had wondered if it will happen here. Of course the Transwarp Drives had been updated and fixed since then but there was still the possibility it would still fail. A little nervous and a little excited had messed her thoughts up some since she never had experience the Transwarp Speed. Not sure of what to do she approached the Engineer Chief. "Sssir. " She had stopped and tried to think of how to say it without sounding stupid. "What is the next step Sir?"

Curling his tail around his waist, he sat down in the recently vacated center seat, occupied by Commander Ijoula. He gave nods of acknowledgement as status reports and incomming transmissions were recieved and responded to came in and verbally given from all over the ship, especially from Operations and Flight Control. Helm stating that they left SB 234 and were currently speeding to aid the distressed Tarawa
He turned to his XO as he spoke "Yes, it is a good thing that they are in still in one piece but from their initial reports, they may not be for very much longer, which is why we need to get there as soon as we can, but we too need to be careful as we do not fall into the same situation. As for their Medical and Engineering, I've a feeling they are ailing as the rest of the ship ."
Being in close proximity to the commander, his nose is very accute and could sense high levels of emotional trauma. He wasn't an empath or telepath, like his father, but his nose knew. "I am certain things will turn out for the good before this crisis is ended, commander." He said, attempting to comfort his first officer, colleage and friend
He then noticed he was staring at something and he followed his gaze toward M'Leez's twitching tail. His whiskers twitched, a low irritated grunt come from him before he asked "Is something... wrong, Commander?" He asked, wondering why he is staring at M'Leezz's tail

Crio took a slow, deep breath, that was needed to calm himself once again. He found himself doing that more frequently as he would be heading into a difficult situation, such as answering distress calls, combat, or otherwise.
"I hope so.. I've got a close friend over there, and I really don't want anything to happen to her..."
It was then that he noticed the captain's remark about something else being wrong, and that Crio realized he was watching at M'Leezz's tail far longer than he'd intended, and blinked his eyes away and whispers so that nobody else on the bridge could hear.
"It's... curiosity... When I was a child, a friend of mine loved showing me his cat, and its tail would do interesting things depending on the mood. On one occasion, when I thought the cat was happy and wanting petted, I found myself getting a deep scratch on my arm.
Suffice it to say, I'm trying to learn from that mistake and how to use that kind of clue now to judge moods with other..." he barely stops himself from saying 'cats', fearing that it would be viewed as a derogatory remark and provoke his captain... "...felinoids that I encounter, such as you, sir, so that I can avoid more problems.
And I fear I might've caused one just now..." he added, having sworn he heard a growl that reminded him too much of that 'angry cat' incident from his youth. He knew that he better be extremely careful, lest he get into hot water again.

IC BEGINS>
She listens to his orders. "Yes Sir." Walking over to the Trilithium chamber control console and starts to watch it and to make sure it does not go unbalance. Looking up over to the Chief as he worked, she taps the ship's com. "Captain transwarp drive ready on your mark Sir."

Thelis took his position at Tactical for the first time officially. He was familiar with it. It was a requirement of all bridge officers to have a basic knowledge and understanding of each station. Terrasect wasn't your average class ship, however and Thelis sincerely hoped his skills wouldn't be put to the test too quickly.

Crio took a calming breath before he spoke of a friend he has over on the Tarawa. He had heard rumors that before his former tactical officer transferred, she and his first officer had started seeing each other more privately, which is fine with him. He would encourage anyone who decided to start intimate relations with anyone "If you mean Lt Grey House, I am sure she is doing just fine and thriving over there, but I am sure she misses you just as much, Commander." He said in a low voice, hinting that he knew of the relationship
Crio them seemed to realize that he was caught looking at M'Leezz's tail. He listened as the commander spoke of a past encounter with a feline, one that didn't go well. He looked rather amused by it, then looked curious as he spoke of how he thought he might be causing a problem just now "You needn't be so.. paranoid, or cautious, Commander. I am certain if you caused offense to one of the feline officers on board, including myself, We would let you know. I can smell your curiosity. If you have a baby question to ask, go ahead and ask and I will remember that you are just curious. Unlike the previous feline, we can understand and can speak the human language and will answer your curious questions." As he waited for him to respond, he head the cadet down in engineering. He glanced toward Buford, to see if he would answer the cadet, giving him something to do besides sit and listen to him and Crio, as indicated by a raised ear, and it being angled toward them. He then asked "What's our ETA to Sector Z-4, Lt?" He asked the canine officer.

He was keeping the ship steady, and keeping an eye on Nav sensors as he listened to chatter on the bridge, He fought to keep his tail from wagging form what was being said.
When the Cadet calls and reports Transwarp is ready on his mark "Thank You Cadet" he replies as the Captain and Commander were talking.
Several seconds Later the Captain asks for the ETA "At current Speed 16 hrs Sir, Ship Steady and on course" he reports

After speaking about Kestral, and hearing the captain's response that he in some way, shape, or form, had heard about that matter, he blinks rapidly before his eyes opening a bit wider in surprise, not knowing that that particular matter had become public knowledge.
While he knew he hadn't spoken of it to anyone else, he realized that "the cat was out of the bag" at least to his captain.
"It's true that I do miss her, and I do hope she's okay, nonetheless. I am looking forward to seeing her. In addition, I hope that her shipmates are okay."
He then listened to the response about the true story of his very bad cat encounter, that left him rather frightened of cats for some time after that. The result was perhaps an overly healthy respect of all felines he would encounter after that, fearing a similar incident may happen again, or worse.
He was completely caught off-guard by the comment about if he had a "baby question" to ask. That made him admittedly feel uneasy, as he had no idea how to respond to that without 'digging himself into a deeper hole'.
"I will... ummm... try to remember that." he managed to say in response, uncharacteristically stammering a bit, silently hoping that he wasn't being viewed as a 'baby'. However, the truth is, that until he met Grabfoot, he had never encountered any felines that could walk and talk.
He decided to give more information, to help his caution be understandable, but would not add that at the time of being scratched, he was also very nearly bitten.
"I should add that later on that same day, the very same cat that angrily scratched me had jumped into my lap while Alex and I were playing, The cat was purring rather loudly, then laid down across my lap, wanting to be petted. Alex and his parents told me that they'd never seen that cat behave like that before, around anyone."

Finally, her tail stopped its twitching and only had the small movements at the tip that was usually seen. The initial excitement was over now that they were underway. She watched the monitors for the internal functioning of the ship, and the external senors, especially for communications.

"Very good, Lietenant" He commented to Buford as he reported that ship is on course and steady but ETA is still 16 hours away, even at Transwarp. This is going to be a long voyage to help a ship in distress.
He looked back to Crio, seeing his look of surprise. Evidently his First Officer didn't know he knew of the budding relationship. He felt a Captain should always be aware of what's going on on his, or her, ship. No matter how trivial. He couldn't help but spiral his tail that was around his waist. The look was amusing to him. Rarely did he catch the First officer.. what was the human expression.. flat-footed.
His ears bent forward as Crio stammered out a response to his comment about asking a question if he had one. It wasn't often that he heard Ijoula stammer either and even he is surprised at his reaction.
Crio seemed to recover from his surprise and seemingly uneasiness for he continued to story with the feline that had scratched him. It nearly bit him as well then soon after the cat wanted affection, to be petted and layed in his lap "Domestic felines can be quite unpredictable. Often when you think they'll react one way, the react totally different. The feline officers aboard this vessel however behave differently. If something is bothering us, you could tell by our bodily reactions. You should know me well enough to already figure out my moods." Referring to the amount of time that they have served together off and on. Also, he didn't like being compared to a domestic feline but he would let it slide. Maybe he was imagining the comparison?

She looked over to the helm officer when he gave the ETA. She contacted the Tarawa informing them they would be there in 16 hrs.
"Ssirr, I have innforrmmed the Tarrawa that we will be therre inn 16 hourrss."
