Rising from her chair amongst the delegation she taped a security officer on the shoulder and then whispered in his ear that she needed to use the communications room privately to send a transmission home. After some time the security officer agreed and lead her into the room she used before to communicate with Andy there were things going on that he needed to be aware of. No since in them beaming back on board and him getting hit with a wall of questions he wasn't prepared for.
Once she was in the room she made sure that it wasn't bugged before opening a channel up to Andy on the ship. It was time to let him know what was going on down here with her and the Romulan delegation. Waiting for him she sat herself down on the chair and folded her arms across her chest. This was a twofold conversation and she only hoped he would follow her fully like a mate would.

Andy examined what was left of the turbo lift shafts, and frowned. It was obvious there was no going back up. He looked at the crowd and watched Greathouse and the others trying to calm people down. He was probably out of line for saying the things he did to Fetchstorm, but he was still frustrated with the mission, with himself, and mostly with the killer. An Aenar, he kicked ice with his foot and a little flashed up. He put Charlie in charge of the others using the excuse that he would look for another way out. What he really needed was time to think. He looked at Mnhiea and gave her a nod to come with him. He a gesture he knew she would pick up on as he walked slowly toward one of the ice corridors.

She picked up on his need for her and followed him towards once of the icy corridors away from the others. This was a time for mates to communicate and calm the other down to get out of the situation an Aenar created. She knew that he was on edge having all of his crew down here but she was going to stand by him the others were just fools for having chosen to stay. Speaking first she did so in a low tone, " My mate something troubles you I can feel it coming from you in waves."

"What doesn't trouble me?" He threw up his arms. "I have VIP's from every planet in the UFP trapped under miles of ice. I have the mother of my child with me so if be both die are child is an orphan, and I have a crew so bent on self-sacrifice that they can't follow a simple order to stay alive. I've made such a mess of things. I know the General would have figured this out long ago. Her Betazoid telepathy would have flushed out and Aenar before the entrees were served. I feel tired, angry, frustrated and worst of all I feel embarrassed that all I can think of is my career instead of the lives of all these people."

" You need to relax and let your mind focus on the task at hand." She looked at him moving close to him so no one else could come between, " Our child will have us both if you allow your human intuition and emotions guide your actions. It is how you have stayed alive this far it will have to be how you keep us alive now, and I mean us literally."

He smiles at her words[. "I suppose I have not choice." He puts his arm around her waist as they walk. "At least one of us has faith in me." He looks around and lets his Marine senses take over. He can feel a draft and turns them toward it. "You know we are miles underground so it may take time for us to find anything that will lead us out."

She could feel the draft come at them even though they were down in the caves. " I know this and so do you but let your training tell you something about what we're facing now. What our environment is telling us and show us. There is something here for someone bent on killing us all wouldn't leave no outs for himself."

"I know we need to find a way out." He picked up the pace knowing she she could keep up. "I know Fetchstorm could hold out long even though he used to warmer climate. However, I think the rest of us are in trouble. We don't have arctic gear and I don't know if the explosions have effected the environmental systems. So hypothermia is an issue. There are other things, but you get the idea."

" I get the idea and as a Romulan I can withstand being in colder conditions longer then you. You'll pass out before I would that's for sure. The environment you are use to is warm and climate controlled not like this place now." She was walking with him at this point at a pace that was normal walking for her. " But you got to push that all aside and let your senses tell you what is going on right now with the area. There is a clue you are missing right now by being stubern and focusing on everything else but the environmental clue that has been given to you."

He smiles. "I can withstand more than most humans, but yes most xeno-biological systems are superior to mine, and trust me I am focusing now. We just have to let the architecture tell us. I mean Every structure has an emergency exit and backup systems we just have to find it."

" You are stubborn that is for sure, but if you would just push through that and feel the wind direction down here then you might get a clue as to where that exit is that you are looking for." When all else failed blunt always worked with him it seamed to her and she sighed stopping to make her point. " Feel that air movement? What direction is it coming from?"

"We have been moving in that direction." He said as he trods through the ice faster seeing the precious heat escape his body as he breath "I know how to survive. The hard part is once this is over how do I live with the results?"

" If you survive you live with who is left and pray to whatever god you believe in that this never happens again." Trudges along with him now more ticked off then anything that he was being human and worrying too much. " Kill yourself with worries now and there will be nothing left to worry about later."

"Fine!' He says defiantly, and begins to go into a sprint. "The best way to keep warm it so build up our heat. If we move faster our bodies will stay warm longer. Besides the sooner we find whatever we need the better. I know you are in ambassador's robes, but I hope you kept up with your normal instincts of carrying a phaser and a tricorder somewheres on your person?" He had gone from the commander of a ship to the demanding drill instructor he was when he was at the marine academy.
