During the last 2 days, and most of the time they spent at the starbase, Tom spend his time with Sam, in her temp quartters, mostly in her bed, and not just sleeping..
Tom smiled as he is woken up with a kiss, watching as Doogan got up to go shower. He thought this is the ideal life. He thought about his younger days, as a Marine, the rigourous training, the mental training that he put himself through. Now he started to think that maybe it was time to settle down, not that he's found a woman that he wants to share his life with
After sam exits the shower, he smiles at her and gathers his things for a shower himself.
15 minutes later, he came out in a robe and saw that Sam had breakfast on the table "looks and smells delicious." he told her as she told him the breakfast menu. He smiled at her as he sat down "I know, darling. I too think about us just staying here like this. I been comtemplating retiring from the Marine Corp and settling down on earth." As they ate breakfast, they discussed the possibilities
After breakfast, he helped her clean the table and was about to suggest dessert when he heard the message from the bridge. He sighs "Looks like it's back to duty." He comments

She Looked at Tom with gleam in her eye "Florida is nice place to live" she smiles as they clean up the dishes.
"Yelp fun is over we best go honey" she takes his hand then looks at him "You might want to change cloths" she lets go of him hand, she watched his go to change.

He started to turn to go get dressed when he heard her mention Florida "Sounds good to me, darling. I could live anywhere with you." He then laughed a bit as she suggested changing clothes, out of his robe. "Good Idea. Greathouse would be all over my back if I came on duty wearing nothing but a robe." He thought Flame would enjoy it, but not Greathouse
Five minuts later, he returned wearing his Seargent's uniform. He offered his arm to her and they walk out together, making there way to the Tarawa

"You know, it's unusual for me to talk about myself. 'Tell me something about yourself' is generally one of my lines." She grinned. "How about this? I've recently learned that there is a lake about 20 miles outside of Rome called Lake Nemi. It was a favorite place of relaxation for the Emperors Tiberius and Caligula. Caligula himself was buried there. I had no idea I had such an auspicious connection."
When Bradley appeared as if he was going to give her one of those, what has that got to do with you looks, she added.
"I've always had an interest in ancient history."

She took his arm when he offered it, and they returned to the Tarawa, once on the ship she gave him a kiss and made her way to the Bridge.
She enters the Bridge and sees Moon, she noticed his Lt Cmdr pips " Congratulations Sir" she steps up to her station and runs a diagnostic on it

Tom kissed Samantha as they departed, not wanting to but duty calls. He makes his way to the marine deck

He turned as the bridge crew started filtering in, including Miss Doogan from the Science station. He started to turbn back when he heard her comment on his most recent promotion, both in rank and ship's standing. He turned and politely smiled at her "Thank you, Lt."
He then saw the new Tactical Officer, 2nd Lt Wynn enter the bridge, looking around a bit before she walked over to the Tactical control board. He casually walked over to her and speaking low enough for only she could hear "Miss Wynn, if you need any help or advise, feel free to come to me at anytime."
He felt a bit of surprise from the young woman, then a little defiance, or was it determination? "Thank you, Sir but I am sure I will be just fine." She commented with the same determination he felt from her.
He simply nodded and returned to where he was standing in the command circle

He entered the Bridge and took in who was on the Bridge, as he walked to his chair and sat down, he wished he was a fly on the wall, to see Nemi doing her job on someone who shows little to none emotions.
he Looked at Moon, he hate throwing him into the fire, then he thought who am I kidding no don't, So far Moon was doing a good job Status Report Cmdr he asked sitting back in his chair.

Moon was just about to sit down in the center seat, to feel how comfortable and inviting it looks when he heard the Colonel's office door open. He looked over at Hall as he entered the bridge and taking a quick look around
He steps to the side as Hall approached the command chair and sits down. Was it his imagination or did he sense something about a fire from Hall?
"So far, so good, Colonel. Those that have reported in also report a status green and a readiness to go."
"Tactical systems show green, weapons and shields to full strength, weapons inventory shows full, sir." He heard Yuna report to Colonel Hall and himself

She looked up from her station "Science is green and my station is back to my way, these worked changed it all around Sirs" she reported.
She looked to the Tac new officer, be for returning her attention to her station

He laughed at Sam's comment Those engineers tend to do that he looked around the bridge After 2 months down, I'm ready to get back out their, how about you number 1 he asked one could tell he was fully rested and ready to go

He didn't laugh but he did chuckle at Doogan's comment about Engineering always messing with the controls when they fix something. He's had that happen a few times before himself at tactical and he always thought can't those engineers leave setting alone before reconfiguring tactical setting to his liking.
He thought about asking Yuna how she had the setting set on the tactical control board but then thought better of it. She's now the Tactical Officer and he the First Officer. Old habits die hard, he mused. He'll always be a tactical officer at heart.
He was so into his thoughts about tactical that he almost missed what Hall said to him. He smiled, feeling much better now that he had gotten a couple days rest and food to eat "Yes, Sir. I am quite anxious to return to the space lanes and explore what out there and to face new.. adventures."

He watched as she struggled to tie the strings together. "An 'artful dodge', but I'm not letting you get away with it. I'm going to invite you to a real dinner involving real food, on a plate that does not fly across the room." He gave her a knowing look. "So I'm expecting you tomorrow night, and be prepared to talk about yourself some too."

After her meeting with the counselor she headed for the bridge taking the nearest TL . She contemplating what the Tarawa's mission would be and what would lay ahead. The doors opened to the bridge it was busy with activity as every station was checking in so the Tarawa could depart. She headed to the Captain's chair to check in with Colonel Hall as she stood in front of him she saluted him. Colonel Hall Lt.Jg. T'Leynti reporting for duty.
