I would simply watch and learn. Then you may decide if you 'want' to be on a side. There are things going on in the Empire that are...unsettling.

She was being offered a choice? This was the last thing Liordra expected. The Tal Shiar were the protectors of the Empire. They ensured the loyalty of it's citizens. It was not necessary to understand the orders one was given, only obey them. Liordra would stake her command on it that whatever was happening was much more disturbing. For the first time, she herself began to feel unsettled. These were not the usual politics. Something was deeply wrong.
She understood he was saying all he could and while he could not reveal some things to her directly, he was telling her that if she was observant, nothing would be hidden from her.
"I understand, Rekkhai. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Nothing at this time, but if I find out more I will inform you. He stands. The only other thing I hope for is a swift and uneventful journey home. Despite all the political intrigues I do miss the home worlds.

All the Tal Shiar have been brought aboard and the second group, the strange colonists the away team first met with when they transported down to Belak, are ready.
This transport is not going as successfully as the last. There are energy fluctuations and difficulty maintaining a lock however, no problem can be found with the ship's systems. With great effort, all the colonists are finally brought aboard. In total, 150. They are strangely quiet, refusing to move or be escorted from the transport area until all their numbers have arrived.

Tension spread through the bay. The colonists stood together at one end, a grim faced security detail remained nearby but since the first group had arrived and they had stated that they would not leave until the rest were brought aboard, not one of them had spoken. They waited and it appeared to Lyretha that they were listening to something as well. They did not move about or speak to each other as might be expected. They stood and stared, all of them, in the same direction toward the rear bulkhead. Surreptitiously the Daise'Dheno had watched as well but nothing appeared inordinate to her.
After everyone had arrived, the atmosphere shifted again, now relieved as everyone prepared to escort the colonists out. None of them had yet moved. Several of her officers approached and spoke to the colonists but there was no response. The request was repeated but this time Lyretha could see that the officer had placed him hand on his holstered weapon. The team was once again met with silence.
"You will accompany us." she heard the man say as he released the disruptor. He had not yet drawn it, but the implication was clear. He would use force if necessary to gain the colonists compliance. The nearest man in the group gave the officer a sharp look of warning. "Now." the officer concluded and slipped the weapon into his hand. A moment later, he screamed in agony, grasping his hand and falling to his knees. Lyretha was already running toward the group. The colonists had begun to look agitated, the security detail was moving in as Lyretha came close enough to see that the officer who had screamed was now unconscious, his hand had been fused together with the disruptor in a lump of flesh and circuitry. Neither was recognizable any longer. "Beest! (Halt, stop!) she yelled. Unless something was done immediately, what little control was left of the situation would be lost and the operation would be in chaos.
A blast of searing heat and blinding light swept over her. As if from a great distance Lyretha saw the group begin to disband. She heard more screams, saw crew members running and then..nothing.

His attention perked up when the science officer spoke up, reporting weapons fire in the cargo bay. He knew the Daise'dheno would be alerted and would be en route, if not already there.
Turning to Delon "Alert more security to contain the weapons fire. In the meantime, activate a energy dampening field to disable weapons. If that fails, release a sleeping gas into the bay to contain the colonists. We do not need them running lose on the ship with weapons." He paused a moment then spoke again "Alert the erei'Riov that an incident is occuring in the cargo hold."

He glanced at Delon with an odd look "the erei'Riov and the subcommander are one in the same" He thought for a moment about going to yellow alert. He doubted it would be of little consequence. "Ie, activate yellow alert."

The dampening field takes effect, however the only weapons in use are those of Dhivael personnel. Several more security officers are injured before the colonists realize they are no longer being attacked. Once the firing has ceased, some of the colonists stay where they are, some attempt to exit the cargo bay. They make no demands and do not organize.

Renn hadn't been long leaving the transporter. The last group was down and everything seemed to be going as planned when he saw two security officer sprinting to his turbo lift. "Say," He said in his best Rihannsu. Where are you going?
Down to the Cargo hold, there's been an incident with the colonists.
I was on my way there too, I"ll follow.\
Renn began to fume, they knew that He had been spearheading this project and so did those on the Oira. This breach in protocol was an obvious sign of disrespect. He would find out if it was his race or something else. The first person he wanted to see was the Subcommander, apparently he didn't even see fit to inform him of an incident. "Oira, this is Renn. Though I was not informed of what was going on down there I'm on my way to find out."
