She was listening and when Iverson spoke about the medical issues she nodded waiting for an opportunity to speak.

"I agree with the Major concerning the extreme cold for races not originating on a cold planet. The thermo vents are an excellent idea and suggestion. I suggest depending on the race they don't exceed their exposure limit, even shaving off 15 -30 mins to ensure their health."

"On Andor we developed a way of making clothing so they have a thermo effect. Keeping one warmer then the ones you currently have. I would suggest those who will be in the cold be issued these we can do it as a blanket type that can be fastened around the waist. "

"I will also give then additional vitamins and minerals to aid in resistance. The only other advantage I can think of at the moment would be a higher metabolism to increase body temperature. But I am reluctant to do so, with out further considerations on a case by case basis."

"Finally, concerning infections, there maybe an increased chance of contacting one. Since there would be no exposure to them previously. I would like a list of any bacteria or virus that originated on this planet. It is better to safe then sorry as your race has noted.
She sat back and waited for any responses.

"Lieutenant Free, I will be at your disposal. I consider this a priority matter. We must be able to communicate with teams. He addressed the rest of the group. "Colonel, I did want to state one thing that most of us feel obvious. This feels like a 'trap'. I'm sure it occurred to you that this 'Morgan' agreed too quickly. Its possible that he just wants to get everyone in one area for a 'master stroke'. If they have planted an explosive of some kind, all the Marines on the ship will not save anyone. I may have something that might help."

Marc listened to the Colonel's report. Thank you Lieutenant Doogan, but I'm sure I'll be able to manage my shifts. He smiled courteously. Colonel, I'll have a schedule for both you and Major Iverson within the hour. I also need to know if you'll need to deploy any drop ships. I would suggest you use them as the planets rings my interfere with the transporters.

He listened as the new ideas and suggestions that he had come to expect from this crew.He looked at each one has they talked digesting it all as they spoke.He would wait to see if anyone had something to say before he addressed them.

[Nemesis Xenakis]

Nemi received the comm and startled, jumped from her chair. She didn't acknowledge but went directly in and sat quietly where she would not disrupt the meeting.

She glanced at the display. Garon was beautiful but beautiful never conquered profit. Her mind ran through a long list of scenarios as Colonel Allen spoke. None of them had pleasant outcomes. Trinity and Morgan would know that these negotiations were against Federation policy and that the real reason for them was to find out whatever they could and stop it, if possible. On the other side, from what she knew of the Trinity, they had no interest in negotiations. Their interest was in taking what they could and leaving as much devastation behind as possible. Morgan was setting up the terms of the game and Tarawa would be walking into it blindly. Their only hope would be to discover what the trap was before it snapped shut on them.

"Colonel?" She said after listening to the others."How many colonists live in the capital itself?"

She still didn't add anything to the meeting. She was more concerned over the bands of debris forming the rings and its effects on the ship nav systems. She had flown more then once in freezing conditions, the main concern was freezing but there ways to minimize that from happening. Most of that was common sense.

She waited for information before adding anything.

Taking everything in he began to answer the questions and suggestions,"Bradley I know this whole thing reeks of a trap so anything you have up your sleeve that would assist us now is the time to play it.I also want you to do what you can to boost communications,tactical,transporters.Hell Bradley I need everything you can boost done.If you need any extra assistance you have Lt. Kor our VS as an extra pair of hands."


"Iverson good point I will have Doogan work on finding any thermal vents.Moon your tactical sensors pick up thermal you can assist Doogan.We are looking for any thermal vents in the colony and the mining compounds."

"Doctor do what you need to do to keep everyone healthy and how hard would it be to get the specs for these thermal blankets so to speak so we can replicate them?And I will have any known bacteria or viruses that could effect the crew sent to your office."


"Any one who has to patrol outside for more time than Dr.Clanes recommends will have to wear EVA suites Doogan is right I know its harder to fight in them but we are marines we all have had EVA combat training.Doogan you need to talk to Bradley about emergency transponders for transport and see how many he can make in the short time we have."

Looking over the notes he jotted down on his PADD."Counselor the population for the main colony is 200,000.The rest are dispersed in smaller underground compounds around the mining facilities.There has been no trouble in them reported so far.The latinum mining facility was hit but nothing to report on the colony compound near it."

"Major Aniri I need you on the ground as well.You're experiences on extremely cold conditions will prove valuable as well as cold weather combat.Thats Leaves Captain Dorius in charge of the Tarawa while everyone else is down on the surface.If Trinity is involved they have star ships.I need you and Lassiter to make sure the Tarawa is safe in case we get unwelcome company."

Looking around "Did I leave anything out and Ralph do you have something to add?"

She had nothing more to say at this time. And her mind was working on the needs of the ship. And who would she assign in her absence. There was a lot of preparation to complete.

When she heard Allen say she would be take over the bridge she was not surprised. He asked her frequently to do this. She already knew the problems and possible nightmare those rings could be on nav systems. She would deal with the potential problems as they arose.

[Major Sandra Iverson]

She had a good idea of what was needed and who to send. She would go herself based on her experience with extreme cold. That time she spent on Andor would serve her well now. She was eager to get back to her office and work on this in more detail.

[Nemesis Xenakis]

Nemi only nodded. Fifty Marines to guard the office but it was the dome itself that worried her. 200,000 colonists who could be held hostage there. If anyone gained control of the dome, they could seal it off, alter the environment, stop the circulation of fresh air within or simply physically destroy the protection it afforded. She took a deep calming breath. She was far too imaginative for her own good.

Looking around at the group."Well if there are no further questions or comments then dismissed we have a lot of work to do and a very short time frame."Ralph you are in charge of the thermal clothing.Get the specs from Doctor Clanes and then work wit Lt. Kor on making sure we can easily replicate them."

"Captain Dorius set a course and make our speed warp 8 I will on the Bridge shortly.Bradley like I said if you have an ace up your sleeve pull it out we need it.Everyone else you know what you have to do lets make it happen."He watched as they got up and left starting the many tasks they had.

Nemi returned to the bridge, reviewing the information they'd received in the briefing. No sense in worrying it into the ground, she told herself. This was a job like any other, at least until all hell broke loose.
