She had not answered Zareth, because Tvlack had called her. She was in conference with Tvlack. She did however send this report to him.
"I was assigned to be with the Federation officers, MCapt Inid Kiara and Ensign McKenzie. We encountered very little however I learned a great deal concerning Federation officer interactions."
"These observations dealt more on a cultural level. We did however observe a greenish engery form pass by. When they attempted to discover more they were unable to."

Just as he was about to address the erei'Arrain before him, his console beeped, indicating a new message. He reached over and tapped a key and found it was from Reha, explaining that she was in a meeting with Tvlack. Nice of her to inform him before she had made him wait a good 20 minutes for her to arrive
He read the enclosed report and he was further displeased by her lack of detail in the report. She had only included the basics and nothing of her findings
He turned to Renn after including Khev's report in with the final draft he was preparing for the Riov "I called for you so you could give me a report on what occured down on the planet with the experimental Borg vessel and what your observations were"
He paused and waited for him to begin

Since I don't consider myself an expert on Borg technology I'll let our Daise 'Paectum(Chief Engineer) explain his findings on that. Instesd, this being our first joint mission with the Federation, I concentrated my efforts on metering their reactions to both us and the task at hand. He waited for the Subcommaders response.

He listened to Wrenn and gave a slight nod "Very well. What are your personal observations of the Federation Saehne-a ( officers ) as they sought to figure out what was occuring and their reactions?"

I want to preface this by saying, I'm not telepathic. He said. But I sensed trepidation. There was one officer amongst them that was Bajoran and my presence seemed to put her at ease. She was in charge of their group and felt more comfortable with interaction after she saw me.
I kept quiet for most of it, but noticed that the Federation officers went out of their way to appear to be forthcoming, but it was clear that they were holding some information back. There was radio talk of sending data to their ship, which I'm sure we did not get forwarded to ours. I found this amusing personally since it was a joint operation, and the files would be shared after action anyway. Overall the officers managed well all things considered, but I noted that the Vulcan seemed to lose focus at times which is a rarity for their species. All and all, it was a typical Federation crew pouting more care in each other than the mission, though in my opinion they managed to get 'lucky' a few times.

While she waited for Zareth's report, Liordra considered the rapid changes that had taken place on Dhivael. She had herself come aboard as second officer but had quickly been required to take command. Since then there had been no replacement officer assigned. The position was a formality more relevant to the chain of command than to any duties associated with it and could be filled by any qualified officer. She had such an officer already in mind.
She opened a direct commlink to the Flight Control Officer.
"erei'Arrain Sahen, report to my office."

He raised a brow slightly when he heard the Riov's voice directly on his control board communicator, ordering him to report to her officer
He tapped a key "Ie, Lhhei. On my way" He said and quickly called for his relief who came just as quickly
He stood and walked a few paces to the Riov's office door and rang the chime to announce his presense

He looked at Renn when he stated that he was not telepathic. That was a given I wasn't aware that Bajorans were telepathic. Often you can see how a person feels if you've a trained eye" He said before Renn went on with his report, taking notes, especially when the trepidation and the female bajoran he spoke of
I kept quiet for most of it, but noticed that the Federation officers went out of their way to appear to be forthcoming, but it was clear that they were holding some information back." As there was some interference, presumably from the Phased core, that was affecting our communications as well as theirs, but that is typical of the Federation, they are untrustworthy, even with their allies and think more of themselves then of the mission at hand
"Any observations of Engineering or the core itself" He'd ask

Liordra opened the doors remotely to admit Sahen. His expression told her he was confused by her summons but not fearful. That pleased her.
"erei'Arrain, I have selected you to act as Dhivael's Second Officer. You are familiar with the requirements of the position." She made the last a statement rather than a question. "In the event that neither myself nor the Subcommander is on the oira, command will fall to you. As you will assume a greater responsibility, you will also be given a commensurate rank." The shadow of a smile crossed her face as she watched his reactions.
"Congratulations, Arrain."

Sahen stepped into the Riov's office when the door slid open and she could tell he was both confused and surprised by her summons
He was about to say that he had come as ordered when she launched into what she was going to say "erei'Arrain, I have selected you to act as Dhivael's Second Officer. You are familiar with the requirements of the position."
He did all he could not to gape at her, his eyes widened however when she announced he would be the Second Officer. He gave a nod when she stated that he knew the requirements of the position
"In the event that neither myself nor the Sub commander is on the oira, command will fall to you. As you will assume a greater responsibility, you will also be given a commensurate rank." He saw a brief shadow of a smile grace her lips
He smiled back at her briefly when she finished with "Congratulations, Arrain."
It took a moment for him to speak but he finally found his voice "Hann'yyo, Lhhei. I am privileged by this honor that is being bestowed upon me. I will not give cause for you to regret this decision" He gave a Romulan salute and a slight bow

Returning the salute, Liordra enjoyed his look of surprise and how he quickly suppressed it, replacing it with the standard formality.
"A copy of the order is already on file and you may requisition your new insignia immediately." She gave him a stern look but the bemusement in her eyes belied it.
"Dismissed, Arrain. When you return, insure the rest of the oira officers are made aware of the changes."

In short, I was awestruck. He said plainly. There were things in that engine core that in my mind should not be explored. This technology was adapted from something that I'm positive the borg themselves didn't completely understand which is why the ship was in the shape it was in. I think that sphere literally tried to tear itself apart from the inside out. My recommendation: Unless you are willing to sacrifice a great many lives to unlock its secrets, I think the sphere should be left for time to ravage. I was raised to be a religious man and have kept one underlying truth from that. There are some things that just were not meant to be tampered with. In my opinion, that cube is one

After finishing her meeting with Tvlack she went to her quarters to freshen up. It was a long day and the meeting longer then expected. At times, she felt she walked a very fine line between the galee' and the Diplomatic corps. Amd after speaking with Tvlack she felt it even more.
After entering her quarters she immediately began a mediation.

"A copy of the order is already on file and you may requisition your new insignia immediately."
"Ie, Riov" He said, seeing the stern look on her face, but also a hint of amusement. He glanced to the Replicator to the side of her chair and he walked over, specifying that he wanted Rihannsu Arrain pips. The pips came a moment later and he pinned then to his lapel.
He looked back to the Riov, not sure what to make of the look she gave him. "You did state immediately, Lhhei. You did not state how to requisition them" He stated, hoping this wouldn't be the shortest promotion in ship's history
"By your leave, I shall inform the Oria of the changes" He turned to go, hoping he would not be called back. He stepped out onto the bridge and spoke so those on the Oria could hear him. "By order of the Riov, I have obtained the rank of Arrain, and the secondary post of Second Officer."
With that said, he returned to the Flight Control Console
