A New Start

[Lt. Kh'Par]

He enters the bridge and takes his security console, setting to his specifications so he can use it quickly, he then runs a diagnostics of it, while it running he checked on the security teams, seeing all was good he turned his attention back to the diagnostics being ran.

[Lt. J'Dan]

He walks on to the ship standing tall and proud, and walks up to a security office "I am J'Dan Chief Engineer" he shoves his PADD into the guards chest with a laugh.

Receiving his quarters he heads to it carrying is duffel bag over his shoulder, he grunts as he walks past the crew.

[Arishela]

She finished her familiarization of the helm console and approved of the diagnostics. She got up leaving the meH, the went to her quarters.

[D'herack]

He left the HoD and went to the meH. He walked to the center and stood with his legs slightly apart and arms crossed. Watching the beq' working, and the meH beq' adjusting to and fine tuning their stations. He looked out the VP and his hearts beat faster knowing soon they would leave.

He needed to be underway, to feel the exhilaration of battle, the feel of the victors pride, to flirt with death as only a Klingon can. He wanted to hear the songs and stories of this ship and beq' spread though out the Empire. This was truly a time of great anticipation and he would make sure the beq' felt it too.

He looked toward the Ra'wl' as he entered the bridge then his console signaled the Diagnostics was finished. After locking down the station he made his way to the TL. he could have just waited for it to open but as he liked the in your face approach he smacked the button on the bulkhead next to the door hard, it suddenly opened up.He entered the lift.

Kev strode onto the meH. Most of the beq were aboard and at stations. Finding the ra'wI' took only a moment. There was no mistaking the figure who stood at the meH's center.

He came forward, saluted striking his chest, then reported.

"qaH, Kev, Son of Kobor, House of Badich, reporting."

[D'herack]

He looked at him, then returned his salute. Seeing his padd he took it and scanned it.

"I expect nothing less from you then the best you have. As you see we are in the final preparations for departure. Get to your station, ensure he is ready to leave when the HoD orders it."

He turned his attention to an engineer on the meH who was attending to the command controls. He walked over to get the report on its progress. Leaving the science officer to begin his work.

Kev turned away at the dismissal, locating the science station. He started running a standard diagnostic while physically calling up each function to verify it was working as it should.

She was below deck in the infirmary of the ship making sure everything was in the proper place and every officer assigned knew who was in charge. There were a few who challenged and she gladly took them down a step or two to prove her worth. This took many hours and she could almost feel the change in the atmosphere a shift from solitary boredom to that of charged energy ready to be disbursed across the galaxy. That is how she knew that the she was near ready to be launched and soon they would start to make their presence known.

A grin spread across her face as she worked to keep up on the mandatory records necessary for the warriors on the ship to serve. This process would take many more hours than just fine toning the instatements at her disposal to be doctor, so she settled off to one side and entered into a computer the necessary coded to access the records and to update those that needed to be done. Keeping a watchful eye on the entrance of the infirmary.

He gets the Engines and all power units working with in specs, the meH Engineering Controls, show all systems were ready.

The Engineer on the meH looks to the Ra'wl' "Engineer is ready Ra'wl'" he reports

When Kh'par reported in he looked at him and nodded. His attention back on the beq'. He heard his com, and listened to the HoD'. "HIja qaH."

"At the end of your shift go about your business our departure is delayed use this time wisely." He sat in his chair next to where the HoD would sit. He was still getting reports from various stations.

He stood as the HoD walked across the meH. He noted the mood of the HoD and knew this was a time to tread carefully. He would make the meH was completely ready, nothing less would tolerated.

[Kev]

Kev turned, ready to acknowledge the Hod when he entered, but he did not stay. Kev could tell that something had angered him. The delay perhaps. Kev had been disappointed as well. Those moments before launch were something to savor, with the beq' united in their service to the ship and HoD, but he dared not show his impatience. This was his first assignment and he had much to prove.

Having showered and putting on a fresh new uniform he grabbed a quick bite in the mess hall and made his way to the meH before Alpha shift had the time to report in.Quickly saluting the duty officer he made his way to his office.

Stepping in he grabbed a mug of raktajino he looked at the updated reports for the bortaS.The reports were maj but the ship remained untested.The reports only told him how the performed docked not how he performed out in space where he belonged.Taking a drink of his raktajino he heard the beep alert of an incoming transmission.


Opening the channel the Imperial Insignia appeared on his screen.



The screen flashed and this time Admiral Gor'tak appeared."HoD Molar in two hours the IKS bortaS is to proceed at warp 9.3 to the Volnar asteroid belt in the Volnar system.Once there you will take position 1000 kilometers outside the asteroid belt and cloak.Further orders will follow once you arrive." The screen went black as the Admiral ended the transmission.

Finally a toothy smile crossed his face.He had a good idea what this mission really was but it was the start of the bortaS glorious career for the Empire.Tapping his Comm Badge,"D'herack report to my office".He wanted the Ra'wls thoughts on the orders before Alpha shift came on duty.
