He nodded as she treated Ralph's wound.He had said what he wanted to Lt. Saris.She had seemed to take the marine road and give the appearance of just doing her duty.
Her words that she owed Kaine were still in his mind however..He had ships business to take care of.
He had the CO of the Farragut patched in and explained their situation what they had discovered and he needed her to carry on with the Hood and the Lexington to get those people out and take Tripitz and the Crimson Brigade taken under custody.
He explained why the Tarawa had to get moving and fast.After he closed the channel he turned back to Ralph and Vash."Ralph just because you are getting special treatment don't get used to it."
"We have to get moving back to Star Base 234 asap.I will see you on the Bridge in a few Ralph.I will give you and Saris a second."His slight smile and wink let them both know he knew about them.
He exited and entered the Bridge,"Dorius Star Base 234 warp factor 8."

He smiles at Allen I'll try Sir, but a guy can get use to this" he then nods to Allen Yes Sir he says with a smile as the Col leaves.
When the door closes he looks at Vash with a smile My arm is not to sore to do this he takes Vash in his arms and kisses her, when he breaks the kiss I have wanted to do that sense you got back

She put her arms around him as he pulled her close and kissed hi back. When he breaks the kiss she looks up at him and smiled You don't know how much I need that. She put her head on his chest and holds him tight. tears started to run down her eye's.

She heard the order to move, "Yes sir, on it now. Course SB 234, warp factor 8." slender fingers flew across the console as she moved the ship into position and then engaged warp engines. Within a matter of seconds the star field blurred as they jumped into warp. Then it cleared and a normal star field appeared.
"Sir we on heading and speed. ETA is 4 hours. Checking to see if we can get back sooner." She knew Colonel Kaine needed to get to medical on the SB.
After several minutes of searching she turned in her chair.
"Sir, I found another course that will reduce the ETA by 30 mins." She waited to hear his answer.

He listened to Zar as she found a shorter route."Very well Dorius make it happen."He knew the fighters had to really scramble to get back to the Tarawa before she went into warp but the conditions were perilous at best and he would do everything he could to save Colonel Kaine.

Because of this Colonel's brain cramp please just assume all fighters were recalled before the Tarawa went into warp.As Mr. Spock would say,"After all I am only human."

He smiled at Vash then she She put her head on his chest he felt her hold him tight. Then he felt is shirt get damp, he hugged her holding her in his arms Let it all out honey, I'm here for you now and always he kissed the top of her head as he held her

She sobbed. I'm sorry babe I..I should be stronger than this. She pulled back from him and looked at him with tears still in her eye's. Thanks for being here for me babe. I'm going to take a shower and then see how Lexi is doing. She wiped some tears from her eye's and then kissed him again. I'll see you later?

Taking his seat he watched the Bridge crew go about their routines.He was worried about Colonel Kaine's condition but again it was a luxury he could not afford.He would have to bottle up his emotions.One of the job descriptions of being a CO.

She got her composer back and wiped away some tears that were left and followed Ralph out on to the bridge then made her way to the TL and headed for her quarters.

We are on the job Colonel the Tarawa should be posh and tidy in about 5 hours sir. I do have some good news the lifts are working on all decks. Also the power outages have been fixed.

He let it go and turned to Ralph,"Repairs are going fine all Lifts are back up and the power outages have been repaired.Now we have to get Colonel Kaine back to Star base 234."
