Thompson was bitten before he injured his ankle. It didn't seem critical at the time. The spider's poison might have had a delayed reaction.

that is hightly possable lieutenent- looking at kiele as he spoke softly and calmly - on earth a hobo spider has a delayed venom much the same reminded me of the one I smashed with the rifle actually
