He entered the infirmary and again the coldness of the Imperial Universe held tight. It was like being slapped in your face. There would be no compassion here for the injured or dying. Something that was a common thread since he left his world behind. After touring the areas and finding out the Chief Medical Officer was not on board he left.

I guess vhen you think you are brilliant, it's hard to be humble. Doctor Lt. Barton you will address me as Keptin Kaine or Keptin. Now if you are done beating your chest show me your work. She stepped out of the lift show no expression on her face. She stopped and waited for the doctor to lead the way.

He walks into the infirmary as a man who is at home in his element. He looked at it since this was the first time, but he had sent messages as to what he wanted. It was smaller than his lab on the station, but still it would do. He watched the Russian pilot noting that he had read her file and was very intrigued by her. There were men and woman strapped down to the table. I'll need a few minutes to get everything up to speed, but i was working on the problem at the station.

"Ah, now you have questioned the question." He said smiling as he looked down at the female strapped to the biobed. "Now a layperson like yourself would think in those terms. I, on the other hand only see material. These are tools to use to further my progress. Neither are they here for my enjoyment or my torture. They are simply here. Whether its of their own free will or not is not my concern. Only that when they are experimented on, they are truthful in what they feel and lets face it, the body cannot lie. He took a blood sample from the female. They are here for one reason and one reason only. Their physiology is the closest we could find to the colonist. Not to say that I won't enjoy some of it.

He scanned her slowly pausing at certain points in her curves. He noted some scars. He injected the nano probes for the agonizer in the brain stem then synced them with the badge. "You have a few scars here, I can take care of them for a half bar of latinum."

She noted him staring at her as she flinched when the agonizer synced. Do the scars ruin the over all view for you Doctor?

"Actually, I think they give you character, but I noticed you coming out of the Captain's office. He gave her a conspiratorial smile. If you are vying to be the Captain's woman you'll have a lot of competition and I thought you might want to work out anything he might consider a flaw.

She gave him a hostile look. I am not looking to be the Captain's woman. I do not sell my body to advance my career, I advance my career by my skills in combat. But if the Captain vanted me for his vomen I suppose I vould not have much choice in the matter.
