Walks into the training holodeck and taps a few commands on the console. "Computer... activate program Escape Scenario 2..." The computer beeps in acknowledgement.
You and a detachment of 4 From the USS Arizona, are behind enemy lines. On the planet Kodokan, You have been given the task of Recon. While attempting to reach your target, all of you are captured by a Romulan patrol. One of the team died during the capture, another is seriously hurt. While in the camp you notice that between the hours of 02:00 and 04:00 hundred hours there are less guards. In addition it is winter, and brutally cold. The team member who is seriously hurt will not survive an escape. The Camp Commander, rigorously interrogate both you and your comrades. Knowing you will not be able to hold out much longer, you realize you must escape. While being taken to be interrogated, you see not far from where your being held is some wood that can be used as a blunt weapon. After a long session you decide that night you will escape, but you know that the wounded man will not sevive the trip. What do you do?

::Steps into the holosuite.:: Computer.. begin program. ::Listens to the scenario. After listening to the scenario, he ponders a bit.:: On the way back to my cell, I'll pick up the wood and hit the guard with it. The wounded man rather escape as well or try to rather than staying behind. With that note, I'll take him with me. Computer.. end program. ::Exits holosuite.

:: Walks in and listens to the computer state the new scenario. She takes a moment to consider it. :: Computer begin program.
The holodeck matrix makes way to a prison camp, in the winter. Judging from the clues it would be sometime after dinner, and before lights out. The ground is covered in snow and there is a path that is worn in the snow to reveal the frozen ground. She's standing in the bunkhouse, where its cold.
Her team members are begin to gather on the bunk of the one who has been critically injured. One of them begins to whisper that they need to find a way to escape.
Zarlena speaks up, "I saw some wood sir, we could use as a weapon. I think if two of us help support him we might have a chance. We can't leave him here. We could then with the free hand use a piece of the wood ourselves. I suggest we leave approximently at the midpoint of the time when there is less guards."
With that the matrix returns and the lights go on. Zar leaves the scenario never once reconsidering her answer.

::enters the Holodec and ponders the problem:: I would grab the piece of wood upon my return to the barracks cells... I would overpower my guards using the wood as a club. I would then take the Guards weapons and uniforms. With my comrades I would then take the critically wounded prisoner and carry him as far as we can till we are forced to leave him behind with one of the guards weapons to guard and delay any on our back trail then the rest of the team would continue our escape.

::after taking notice when shift changes she looks at the others. They have already discussed on how to get out of there. They will be taking the one that is seriously hurt, hopefully he can make it to get help::
On my count :: she whispers as she looks at them. She motions for her fingers until it hits 3. They grab the guards breaking their necks, take their weapons and head out:: Lets be careful.
::she and another have their weapons raised and locked moving quickly but surely to get out of there. The other 1 follow closely behind with the injured.:: Once we clear this area. you help the pvt with the injured 1st Lt.
::they see 3 more guards and sneak up on them and knock them out so not to be detected as they leave::
::they clear the camp with the injured and continue to move out , she having taking a communication device so they can try and reach star fleet, to be rescued.::

::already have talked it over with the others they made their move. She grabs one guard and snaps his neck, grabbing his weapon and a small communication device:: Now is our move, lets go. ::they move out quickly with the injured man with them. She was not going to leave him behind no matter what. Still seeing no guards out since it was freezing out they keep moving and clear the camp. She knows once they are far enough she will try and get the device to contact star fleet for a rescue::

::Goes to holodeck: Computer, Start program "Escape" "you may enter when ready" ::Enters the holodeck and find yourself in a prison camp barracks:: Lt. Sgt. Jones cannot take anymore abuse, so tonite is the night we get out of here. But sir, said Lt. Smith, he is badly injured and will not make the trip back. maybe not Lt. but I am not going to leave him here to be interigated and abused, and if he dies I am taking him back so he will have a proper funeral, I had to leave one man behind, I am not going to leave another. Understood sir. ::My men and myself leave the barracks in the wee hours of the morning, as they come up on a single guard they break his neck. when they get to the gate they cut the wire and escape.

Enters the holodeck and listens to the Scenario then takes a minute to consider her answer.
"Computer begin Scenario"
After noticing the number of guards are reduced between 2 and 4 a.m., and where the wood planks are located. As soon as it was nightfall, I would get some of the planks bring them into the barracks. I would then brake them into manageable sizes.
Using these as weapons and to rig a device to enable our injured member to walk. We would then wait until until 2:30 making sure the guard change was completed. I and another member of our team would then advance on the guard house. We would then overpower them using the planks of wood hitting them and moving quickly. Since there would only be two guards to a tower.
After getting the weapons from these guards we disabled we would then make our way back to the barracks retrieve our comrades and move out.
Passing another barracks we would alert them to our escape thus creating a diversion. It is, indeed harder to tack these many prisoners on the run.
Knowing the injured member could not survive such a trek we would leave him at a point that would allow us the greatest advantage, to continue our escape. We would also leave him a weapon. While this is an unfortunate event it is necessary.

Sandra Iverson returns to the Holodeck and taking her favorite position she leans against the bulkhead folding her arms. She listens to the computer state the scenario.
"Alright a Marine scenario. Way to go." the computer informs her it is unable to comply to her request. She laughs for a minute and then regains her composure.
"Computer begin scenario"
She finds herself on a well worn snow covered path, noticing the wood thats been piled against another building she makes a metal note of it. After entering the barracks she speaks to the others about using the wood as weapons and to help move the injured Marine.
Later that night she and another recon team member makes makes their way to the wood pile and collects several planks. After returning to the barracks they break the wood into more manageable pieces.
Using two of them she and another member sneak out going straight to the guard tower surprise the guards there, disable them and take the weapons.
They return to the barracks with the winter clothing of the guards and then take the injured member of the team and make their way out. To the preplanned extraction point.
Computer end scenario...........................

She entered the holodeck and listed to the scenario. This is something she is familiar with from past experience when detained by Cardiassian forces in a camp.
Drawing on experience she states what she would do.
1) secure the wood to be broken into manageable pieces for two of us to use as weapons. 2) devise a means for transporting the injured comrade. 3) gather enough clothing and rags to bundle in layers making sure the injured one was given an extra layer. 4) go to the closest tower and take out the guards as quick and quietly as possible. 5) take his weapons, communication device and meet the other member of the team who has been assisting the injured one. 6) take turns in assisting the movement of the injured one. 7) reach the extraction point and use the communication devices to contact the ship.
If along the route you need to leave one behind the injured one would be left. With a weapon.
May the prophets guide us and allow the same success they did once before.
end scenario...............

Post by Maj. Deborah Vasset on Jun 27, 2005 13:37:58 GMT -5
Deborah walked into the holosuite and instructed the computer to state the scenario. She considered this for a minute and then not having any previous experience in the area almost decided not to try it.
Computer begin scenario
Having noticed the number of guards are decreased between the hours of 0200 an 0400, in addition to the planks of wood. And finally the condition of the wounded man its decided they would make their escape.
Around 02:15 I would go and collect the planks of wood and together with another member of the recon team we would break the wood into smaller pieces for a blunt weapon and to act as a crutch for the injured man.
Approximately 02:40, another member and myself would advance on the guard tower. Once inside we would attack the guards. Killing them to ensure they could not alert anyone. We would take their clothing, weapons and communication devices.
Approximately 02:50, we would then begin to make our way out of the camp. If another guard was encountered we would kill him and take the clothing, weapons etc.
Best case, we reach the extraction point without incident.
Worse case, we have to leave the wounded man behind to hold off the guards while we get to the extraction point. We would, however once extracted, beam the other member for a proper burial.
end scenario.........................

Post by Rear Admiral Kenneith M. Basal on Jul 2, 2005 16:56:32 GMT -5
Commodore Kenneith Basal walked into the holodeck, tapped on the keypadd, and began the scenario. He stood there as he heard the scenario.
"I would wait between the times that there are less guards to pick up the wood to be used a blunt object. I would knock the guards out that are left to guard. I would keep the wood for later and also take the disruptors from the unconscience guards. Their combadges would be usful to send a distress call to one of the nearest federation ship, once it is configured to send a distress call. Then I will help the injuried crewmember to escape from the cell and make our way out of the compound. Once away from the compand, at the most safest point, I would find shelter and help the injured crewmember into the shelter. I would place the wood on the driest ground and aim the disruptor at it. Creating fire to keep warm. While keeping warm, I would configure the combadges to send out a distress signal for the Federation to pick up. The disruptor still can be useful as a weapon if any more Romulans finds our location. The nearest federation ship should able to pick up the distress call and send out a rescue mission for us. Computer, end program."
The holodeck program ends as he walked out of the holodeck.

Lt Jr T'Lar walked into the holodeck and stood in the middle of the holodeck.
"Computer, begin scenario."
She placed her hands behind her back as she began to listen to the scenario. After a few moments of listening to it, she spoke up.
"Logic dicdates that force is needed to escape and that the injured crewmember wishes to leave as well. I would use the nerve pinch on the guards and take their disruptors for later. The wood could be used for fire, so I would pick up the wood and help the injuried crewmember out of the compound. I would assume that the USS Arizona would have our signature and begin to send a rescue for us. Computer, end program."
LtJr T'Lar walked out of the holodeck.

Ensign Kestra Elbrun walked into the holodeck and began to listen to the scenario.
She thought for a moment for a plan.
"The wood would have more than one use. It could be used as a blunt object and also as fuel for fire. And of course, the injuried team member would want to escape as well. Who would even want to be left behind in this compound any ways? I would hit the guards with the piece of wood and the help the injuried team member out of the compound. We would make our way to a safest place and begin to try to make a signal to the USS Arizona. The USS Arizona would be able to pick up the signal and locate us. Then we would be safely back on board."
Kestra ended the program and walked out of the holodeck.
