You are with a Marine detachment and assigned to go to the Planet Delta IV, to find out why an outpost has gone silent. The Whole system for that sector is silent and its on the boarder, that intersects Romulan, Klingon and Federation space.
The ship the USS Dante, arrives in orbit around the planet to find much of the system has been devastated and warp trail signatures matches nothing in Federation Records. Sensors indicate a Major battle is on the planets surface, where the last few survivors of the outpost are trying to ward off the attackers.
Your job is to try to get to the planet unnoticed and rescue the survivors of the outpost. Your ship is the only one in the area, and there are 2 massive Dreadnoughts surrounding the planet. No other ships are available to assist you!
Your Dropship is loaded with your Specialized team of marines and ready to drop!
How will you accomplish this mission?

Major Arishela walks into the Holodeck.
"Computer state the scenario" Arishela listens as the computer lays out the scenario. She nods more to herself, yes indeed she thought one this is finally geared for the Marines.
"Computer begin senario"
As we take our seats in the drop ship I divide them into teams. Instruct them to set weapons on maxium stun. As the ship descends to the planet I have ops and science give me final reports on the number of live bodies, where they are and in relation to the supposed location of our people. We land the drop ship at the closest point to this location.
I have them equipped with tricorders and as we hit the ground the tricorders are on and running. We begin to fan out in a circular pattern and report in every few minutes. Once we find our people, we contact the dropship and have it meet at us at the current location. While waiting we tend to any wounded and take any federation records we can safely obtain.
Once the ship reaches us we move double time and leave.
End scenario.....................
She leaves the holodeck without looking back.

::He entered the Holodeck::
Computer...Launch Scenario.
Before the crews are aboard the Ship. I seperate them into Squads of 5, 2 heavy weapons specs, 1 communications, 1 medic and 1 Squad Leader. Weapons set to Max Stun, instruct them that if the situation warrants, Kill Setting is allowed.
I will recieve final ok from Science and Operations on troops on the grounjd and terrain conditions before setting down within a quarter mile from the Outpost.
Upon setting down, I send 1 scout unit of 3 equiped with Tricorders and send them with Squad 1. Squads 2 and 3 will defend the LZ while Squad 4 takes right flank and attempts to get fire on the attackers on 3 sides.
Once our wounded are stablized by our field medics, we pull back to the LZ, with as much starfleet information as possible. I instruct Demolitions to rig the outpost as a booby trap. Once the computers are accessed by others than federation troops, the outpost will explode.
Once the ship arrives, we pull cover fire around it, wounded in first, troopers in second, officers last. Then we immediately pull out.
Computer...End Scenario.

1st Lieutenant Andrus Elbrun walked into the holodeck. Punched a few keys on the keypadd and begun to listen to the scenario. Elbrun begun to think and then smirked.
1st Lt Elbrun: I would have three teams. The first team would go in and begin to make their way through to allow the second team, that has medical along with them. The medical officer would help the injuries. The second team also helps to get the last few remaining survivors. The third team are to help to protect the second team from enemy fire. Also, the third team are to place explosives, if need be, to help combat the attackers. The first team would help lead guide the other teams back to the dropship, the second team follows, then the third team, to tie up the loose ends. Computer.... in program.
1st Lt Andrus Elbrun walked out of the holodeck. Believed that he did very well in the scenario.

Sandra walks in hearing there was a new scenario. She leaned up against the bulkhead with her arms folded.
"Lets see what trouble the navy got into now. Computer state the scenario."
As the computer began and she heard the title. A smile crossed her lips and she nodded.
"Now we're talking."
After she heard it, she took a deep breath. "Computer begin scenario"
I would divide the search and rescue team into smaller squards of four. Each sqaurd would carry a tricorder, and have phaser rifles, demolition's if needed. A scout. One squard would have the medic and this one would be the armed escort for the medic.
I would have them distance themselves by 8 feet allowing everyone to maintain visual with the other teams. Thus allowing a quick response if needed.
While on route I would receive the latest Intel from sci, ops, and then have the dropship land within 30 feet from the facility.
We would assist the injured and then once they are all stabilized hail on out to the drop ship.
End scenario......................
As Sandra left she hoped she all right, afterall it was a command situation. But d**n it was good.

Post by Rear Admiral Kenneith M. Basal on May 18, 2005 3:58:45 GMT -5
Commodore Basal walked into the holodeck and begun to listen to the scenario.
Commodore Basal: Have teams divided into 5 groups. First two teams go in to clear a way to the surviors, as well to clear a way back to the drop ship. The third team is to help out the surivors with any injuries. Helping carry them out and to bring them to the drop ship. The forth team would take up the rear to protect the third team to and from the drop ship. The fifth team would take up the rear and to place any mines or bombs to be used against the attackers while the other teams head back to the drop ship. Making sure everyone else had gotten onto the drop ship before entering into the drop ship. Computer.... End program.
The holodeck goes back showing the holodeck grid as Basal walked out of the holodeck.

Post by 1st Lt Kestra Elbrun on May 19, 2005 17:53:04 GMT -5
Ensign Kestra Elbrun walked into the holodeck. Stood there while she listened to the scenario. Gave a big sigh after she listened to it.
Ensign Elbrun: My brother, Andrus, is always better than me with these Marine scenarios, but here it goes. I would have 6 teams to go in. The first two would go in, clear the area, and help lead the other teams back to the drop ship. To make sure it is safe, it is safe for the third and forth teams to go in and help with the surviors back to the drop ship. The 5th and 6th teams comes in after the 3rd and 4th teams to protect them from the rear. Heading back to the drop ship to take off.
Kestra hoped she did okay as she ended the program and walked out of the holodeck.

Entering the Holodeck.Computer Begin program.
As the senario was playing out I ordered 2 teams standing by suited up.I briefed them on the situation and laid out my plan.First squad will go in with a first wave keeping the enemy busy while second went in the back of the compound making sure to not set off sensors coming in the back taking care of the wounded and moving them to the pick up zone while the first squad keeps them busy.The second squad set phaser to high stun on silance moving out without being detced until the last moment when they are spotted getting the last hostage out.The second team moves out getting cover fire as the whole team is beamed out before the enemy can retailuate ,the first squad moves gets picked up by the dropship and they head for the wating ship for debreifing.(Similir to what the navy seals do go in quietly and getting out.)

Lieutenant JrGrade T'Lar walked into the holodeck and tapped onto the panel. Placed her hands behind her back as she listened to the scenario.
LtJrGrade T'Lar: It would be logical to send a teams of 3. One to take the lead, the second to help with any surivors, the third to take up the rear as well as placing any mines it may need to deterred the enemy from advancing toward them. All three teams making their way back to the drop shield.
T'Lar ended the program and walked out of the holodeck.

Marine Captain Quinn Troi walked into the holodeck and begun to listen to the scenario. She thought for a few minutes and then spoke up.
Captain Troi: Well, let's see, it's better to get in and get out quickly. So, 3 sets of team will go in. The first team will go in and rescue the survivors as the second and third team help protect the first team from the engaging enemies. Making it way back to the drop ship and heading back.
Marine Captain Troi ended the program and exited the holodeck.

::She walks onto the holodeck::
Computer begin training Mission 4
::the scene sets around her::
::She pulls out the mission Briefing Data pad and then approaches the drop shuttle::
Troops attention.. Prepare for mission Briefing.
::She waits while they form up at attention::
::She then walks in front of them pacing as she recites their orders::
On the planet below us Federation personnel are in a pitched battle for their lives against unknown assailants we are to get in and hopefully out undetected with the personnel.
To facilitate this Lt. Kimbal will modify a class one probe to give off a false signal of a shuttlecraft that we will launch from our drop shuttle at a 90-degree angle to lure the ships orbiting the planet off . This should buy us approximately 5 minutes to reach the magnetic pole . we will use that to hid our approach to the planet. Ensign Callaway will modify the drop shuttle to give e off the readings of an Iron nickel asteroid. We will go to full impulse while in the sensor shadow of the moon the coast to the magnetic pole.
The enemy is an unknown species as such you will not engage unless engaged first . You have permission to kill. This is primarily a cover extraction mission. Keep that in mind. Any questions?
::She waits a moment::
No .. Good. Proceed
::The Lt & Ensign finish the modifications and everyone boards the shuttle::
::Satu opens com channel to the ship::
Rescue party to Pegasus we will be preceding with the mission. Communications silence is now in effect.
::She closes all com channels::
::The pilot takes them out and executes the maneuver. As they pass the horizon of the moon the probe is launched to draw the ships away from their projected flight path::
::The ship reaches the magnetic pole while using thrusters to slow its approach and then drop through the atmosphere. Impulse power was withheld till the last possible moment and then the sensors scanned the planet in the location of the base looking for federation survivors once the survivors were located the shuttle flew low over them to land as close as possible yet well out of enemy fire or sight..::
::Satu then assigns three men to guard the shuttle and the rest go with her she looks on the tricorder and sees that the federation survivors are 500 Meters away and 50 meters blow them. Satu calculates and angle and then had two others take their phasers and with her they carve a tunnel with phaser fire to intercept with the survivors using the tricorder to adjust their tunnel as needed. They come out about .5 meters above the Survivors::
Ensign Satu Tkeal of the Pegasus we are here to get you out .. Fellas take positions .. You survivor’s head up this tunnel there is a craft waiting to take us out of here.
:;She smiles reassuringly::
Those of you who can please help the wounded. No living person gets left behind.
::the Federation survivors head up the tunnel and Satu and the men hold off the advancing troops one of the men gets clipped in the leg as they start retreating up the tunnel and Satu keeps firing in random patterns down the tunnel to keep the pursuers from following till they make the fighting withdrawal to the ship they get in it fly to the opposite magnetic pole before using minimal power to break orbit and head back to the Pegasus.

Post by MCapt Zarlena Dorius on May 29, 2005 11:32:37 GMT -5
Zarlena walked in and had the computer lay the scenario. As she listened she smiled. Wondered when they get around to a Marine one.
All right, on the ship I would assemble a rescue team of 20 Marines. Divided into 5 squads of 4 Marines, with an additional team for the purpose of maintaining a secure landing zone. Each team would be fully equipped and armed. One team would be have a demolition's specialist. Another team would have a field medic, this team's sole responsibility is it to provide armed escort for the medic. One team would have the unit's communication officer.
The remaining members of the rescue team would be comprised of combat marines, and a scout. While arranging this I would have Science, operations, and tactical to provide the following.
Science to gather all information on terrain, life signs and locations. Operations to assist science with scans providing as much data as possible. Tactical to provide cover fire if needed.
Once Science has located the facility, and ops has confirmed the best possible landing site we would leave. As soon as we reach the ground, we would leave the drop ship and proceed to the facility. We would be running continually scans gathering as much intel as possible.
Once we reach the facility, the medic begins to stabilize and injured. Several members make a sweep of the facility while another moves to a console and retrieves as much data as time allows. Thus achieving the objective of gaining Intel on the attackers and why.
The outside scouts search for additional Intel on the attackers.
We begin to fall back with the rescued in the center of the party thus affording the greatest amount of security. Including the Marine holding the date secured.
We reach the drop ship and leave.
End scenario......................
Zarlena leaves with a smile, knowing it was good.

She enters the holo suite and listens to the scenario.
Computer begin scenario.
I would ensure that the team is properly outfitted. I would then divide the team into squards of 3. Once we reach the ground I would leave one team with the drop ship to protect it. Then I would send one team for re-con purposes to gather as much Intel as possible on the attackers.
The third and fourth team would head out in the direction of the facility. With a fifth team following this team would have a Medic with them.
Once in the facility one team would look for survivors and the other for any intelligence we could gather. After reaching the survivors and attending to any injured there maybe we make our way back to the drop ship. One inside we would all meet at pre-determined time. We would take off and report back in.
end scenario
