i would assign a small team to take the seeds to the planet and i would have the rest follow the freighter we would take out its engines lay siege to it run in get our boys out and arrest the attackers and bring them in on charges of kidnappind federation Marines

She walks in an listens to the scenario.
I would leave several shuttles for them to beam the seeds aboard the shuttles. I would then follow the attackers. The shuttles because of thier size and normal duties would be able to do without atracting too much attention.
I would engage the enemy and get out people back.

After leaving an Engineering team on the Frieghter, I would send a transmission to Starfleet notifying them of the situation, and send a ship immediately. I would also launch a shuttle to track the enmey ship so after the delivery to the planet, we would redevouz for a rescue mission.

Cpl. Stryker walk's onto the holo deck and listen's to the scenario. the holodeck change's to the bridge of the queensbury.
They arrive at the derelect vessel and pick up the signature of the attacking ship he order's two suttles to take the seed to the planet while the queensbury will chase the attacker
(How i believe both can be done is simple. there is no specified time limit or distance it could be hour's away day's away or week's away it doesn't say so i made the logical assumption that both could be done)

Deborah enters the holosuite and then listens to the scenario. She stands there a minute in deep thought.
Heres what I would do. I would send out a shuttle equipped to track the ion trail of the attacking ship. In the meantime I would proceed to the planet and drop off the seeds.
Following that I would I meet up with the shuttle who was tracking and following the ship. The shuttle would have been sending me updates of its location every hour. In addition to any other Intel it was able to retrieve.

Satu walked into the holodeck
“Computer begin training scenario 4 set rank to admiral”
The bridge of the ship comes into being and the crew stands at attention as the words “Admiral on Deck” came loudly from the mouth of the First officer.
“At ease” ordered Admiral T’keal “Dorf what’s out status?”
“We are being ordered to Escort the Freighter doorprize to the Veranda Star system they are caring the cure for a biogenetic plague of unknown origin that has broken out on the planet Blap’hmeth.” Replied Dorf.
Admiral Satu T’keal took her seat in the command chair. “Mister Christian set course for the freighter warp 6 then engage.”
Mr. Christian set the course or played a game of pong no one could tell from the angle of the monitoring device and then the view screen went to little lines on a black background.
The ship is well underway as Satu sips the earl gray she had gotten during the fade out and waits for the scenario to unfold.
“Admiral there is a ship attacking the Freighter their shields can't take much more. They are no match for the enemy.” Dorf states as he looks at his panel.
“Mr. Christian Warp 10 or better now!” Ordered admiral T’keal.
Mr. Christian slid his hand along the desk like panel he was sitting at and the lines when by faster and became longer. The Admiral hands her tea to a cameo officer who came by just to take it and pour it down a sink.
“Dorf, What’s our ETA?” Asked the admiral.
“We are currently three minutes out, Admiral. I cannot identify the enemy vessel. It’s now veering away. I think the beamed something off the Doorprize.” Replied Dorf.
“Do you have any Idea what it was?” Inquired Admiral T’keal.
“Scaaaaniiing. I believe it was the crew.” Dorf replied.
“Are they within Weapons range?” Inquired Admiral T’keal
“No Ma’am.” Replied Dorf.
“Dorf, Plot their course and fire a quantum warp torpedo at the trajectory of their engines.” She hit a button on her chair. “Transporter rooms get ready to beam an away crew to the Doorprize at full warp.” Admiral T’keal hit another button “ Gamma Shift report immediately to the nearest transporter rooms for an away mission.” She pressed yet another button. “Engineering assemble a detail and report to the nearest transporter room for damage control and repair Bring parts.” She then looked at Mr. Christian. “Lay in a pursuit course that brings us over the Doorprize Mr. Christian.” She then pressed the button for the transporter rooms. “As soon as you’re within transporter range of the Doorprize begin the beam over. We are only getting one shot at this.” Ordered Admiral T’keal
The transporter rooms beamed the away crew and engineering detail to the Doorprize and began repairs and to take the ship underway. The Queensbury quickly over took the alien raider.
“Open a channel.” Ordered Admiral T’keal. As the channel opened and only an audio transmission came in. “unidentified Vessel you are currently in possession of several citizens of the united federation of planets you will return them immediately or your crew and yourself will be summarily executed under federation law.” She then waited for the reply.
“We will not surrender you try and destroy the ship and the crew of the freighter goes with us.” Replied a gravely voice on the comm channel.
Admiral Satu gave the Kill sign and then looked at the main View screen. “Dorf Fire Phasers on their engines weapons and shields I only want to cripple them.” She stated with a determined look on her face.
Dorf tapped the console a few times and red beams flared across the view screen and small explosions could be seen on the enemy ship that looked like a cross between a cereal box a bucket of legos and three model car kits. A green sparkly bubble shimmered around it.
“Admiral their shields are down!” Exclaimed and excited Dorf.
“Transporter room beam all the crew from the freighter directly to sick bay and put the Raiders in the brig. Dorf take their ship in tow. Set course for the freighter Mr. Christian”
Dorf tapped his console and a blue shaft of light hit the raider and towed it along behind the Queensbury as she turned and made for the freighter.
She arrived at the Freighter just as the repair crew restored its warp drive. And escorted it to its destination.

::reads scenario:: Yet another sceanario where I choose a few over tons.
::begins the scenario:: I transport the seeds up and send out a few fighter planes to find the missing crew and the Queensburry heads to the planet. The fighters (I would say, Stinger Class) get the crew back and destroy the people who stole them, the fighters then return to the Queensburry and we bring the crew of the freighter to there homebase

Closes his eyes. "Ops have the Fighters launch and go after the ships with the crew of the other ship." Looks to tac"Lock onto and put a tractor beem onto the ship" looks to helm"Go to warp and get us to where we need to go. We will come back for the fighters and the crew of the ship."
"As I see it. Both are in need. i would send out my fighters to go after who did this. They can handle a lot as i am going to take the seeds where they are needed to be. As for the enemy that did this once I get there I would destroy them."

::watching this frozen scene :: computer resume simulation:: tractor the ship engineering transport to the freighter lets get repairs and a skeleton crew on board get that freighter moving to the colony : leaving the crew on the freighter sending her ion her way while helm and tac track the ship that persumably took the crew hostage we would then send a priority alert to any ships in the area to assist with the tracking of the persumable hostile : end simulation:

I would have OPS launch a fighter squadron to follow the trail.I would then use the tractor beam to grab the freighter.I would send a team of engineers ,and a team made of security and marines to try to get the freighter working and the other team to find out who did such a cowardly deed.I would follow the freighter to make sure she safely dropped off the needed supplies.While I was escorting the ship I would hail all ships in the area and explain the situation.They could follow my fighter squadron and help rescue the crew.As soom as I made sure the supplies were dropped off I would order the ship to max warp and help with the rescue.

"I will choose a team of security personel, medical officers and engineers to go to the freighter. Once there, the team will make needed repairs and pilot the freighter and it's needed cargo to the starving people. Send a few fighters with the freighter to protect it if the attackers or their allies decide to return. We will keep constant contact with the freighter until they are safe at their destination and have dropped off their cargo.
Then, the Queensbury will go to yellow alert and follow the ion trail. If the attackers left such an obvious trail, they are either very stupid or setting up a trap. I suspect the latter. The remaining fighters will launch and tactical will remain at alert. Perhaps a show of force will scare the cowards into submission. When we reach the attackers, we will rescue the freighter's crew and detain the attackers."
::Then, Zandile carried out this plan of action.:: "Computer, end simulation and save program."

::To the Transporter Room:: Chief, Beam the seeds on that freighter directly our aeroponics bay.
::To the helm:: After the seeds are on board, resume course.
::To Ops:: Signal the closest starbase that the freighter's crew has been taken and to send a search vessel after them.
::To the XO:: I really dont like the idea of leaving the the crew in enemy hands, but I would rather live with that, then knowing I caused genocide by not getting the seeds to that planet in time.
::Tyler stood and shook his head not pleased with what he had to do, but he thought he made the right choice::

Ensign David Foster computer begin simulation,I would first have OPS send an emergency hail to any and all federation vessels in the area and asses them of the situation.I would have Tac and Science find the engine trails or warp signatures of the ship holding the crew hostage.I would inform the hailed ships of their current course and launch my fighters to tail them as well.I would then use my ships tractor beams to haul the freighter to the planet as fast as possible .I would also send a team of engineers and techs to help disperse the food.as soon as my away team was on board I would give Chase of the enemy ship as well.Computer End Program.

How about send a Team of Engineers to work on the Frieghter to get her back on course for the planet with the seed, and the USS Queensbury can hunt down her attackers, and rescue the crew.

I would first and foremost make sure that seed shipment arrived at its destination, because as we all know the needs of a planet far outweigh the needs of a crew , even that of a whole ship. With that done I would then plot a course to try and intercept the ship that is holding the crew hostage. If and only if given the green light by starbase.
