A frieghter in distress is more important then a rendevous. I would contact the USS Raven, and any other ship in the area, and render any assistance I can.

Knowing the area well, I would try to raise any starship in the area, as well as the Bajoran Defense Ministry, DS9, and of course the Raven. Being I just left Bajor, I would render any assistance I can to the Golden Fleece.

:: he hears the distress call and changes course to intercept, he scans the trade route and hails several klingon convoy ships who inform him that they've also moved to intercept. He raises shields and powers weapons. He also hails the Raven to apprise them of the situation, for the ship is much faster than his runabout. Together, with two klingon Birds of prey on convoy duty, looking for a little action, they disable the persuing vessels.
Too late to join the fight, the Raven arrives. They triangulate all 4 tractor beams to pull the ship out of cardassian space as quickly as possible. As soon as they cross the border into bajoran space, the program ends and the hologrid appears::

::Mac ponders the scenario before answering. After about 3 minutes Mac is ready to answer. First off he would notify the Raven about the situation at hand. with that done he would try to contact any ship in the vicinity of the freighter to lend assistance, making sure they realize how delicate the situation is. Before plotting an intercept course to the freighter I would then try to contact all cardassian ships in the area and inform them of the freighters plight, and that I am on an intercept course to render aide before the drift into their space. I would try to handle the situation as fragile as I could, being careful not to do anything that would be considered an act of war. I just hope i could intercept the drifting ship in time to try and tow it or possibly beam the crew to safety::

first off i would check to make sure it wasnt a trap for the cardassians to capture me then I would send a message to the raven letting them know that there was a distress signal then I would move to help the one sending the distress call to stop them from floating into cardassian space help them regain nav systems and engines so that they could get on their way

::Kasia listens to the scenario before giving her response.:: I would first try to hail either a shuttle or ship from either Bajor or from DS9. I would then keep all sensors tracked on any agressive movements from any Cardassian ships in the system. I would also inform my ship of my situation and start to bring in the Golden Fleece in to DS9 with the help of a shuttle from DS9 or Bajor which ever one came first. Once the situation was over I would resume my previous course at top speed back to the Raven.
::She finishes satisfied with the answer and then ponders what she would have done had it been near her real home Planet of Trill as she exits the holodek.::

Directive 5 states that as a Star Fleet officer I must render assistance if I can. I would transmit to the Raven my situation, informing them that I am assisting the freighter, and will be late returning. I would also notify Star Fleet and any other ships in the area of the situation, and request additional assistance, as a shuttle craft may not be enough to help the freighter.

Being on an active ssshiping rrroute, I would firssst deterrrmine if therrrr isss anotherrrr sssship in the arrrea that coulllld rrrrenderrrr aid.
If therrrre werrre none, then I woullllld contact the Rrrraven, and notify them of the sssituation, and allllsssso the perrrrtinant factssss perrrrtaining to the isssue at hand, rrrrequesssting that they come and rrrrenderrrr aid.
Then I woulllld, allllsssso notify them that I wassss enrrrroute to the derrrrilect frrrreighterrrr, to asssissst in any way posssibllle. Even if that meant onlllly manualllly pusssshing them back from the boarrrrderrrr.

Assuming of course that I am within communications range of the Raven, my responsibility is to notify Raven of the situation. I may then be ordered to intercede on behalf on the freighter but if not, then my duty is to return to the ship.
