Aleg marched himself into the security office,right to the Major's desk,went to attention and Saluted " Ma'am Second Lieutenant Darten reporting for punishment Ma'am." Then he blinked. Was no one ever where they should be? Since the Major wasnt here he turned around and went back to sick bay.

The lift stepped and the doors open and vash stepped out. Trust me Aleg if you to get to know each other you will know the right time to ask her.

"Thats true Ma'am. I don't want to jump the gun and make a mistake. I have a career to think about" He stepped out of the lift as well and stayed off to her side and couple steps beind her.

Entering as well he took a seat and wondered what was on her mind. Maybe it was going to be a lecture about how he tried to handle the fight in five forward. Seriously Aleg. Relax for once and stop being so tense he thought.

She looks him in the eye's. So Aleg do you want to be the security XO? If you need time to think about it let me know. But would like an answer by the time this mission is over. She sit's back and waits for him to think it over.

She smiled. Good Aleg I know you will do a good job. She hands him a PADD. On here is everything you will need to know and do. I'm going to let you have a run at being the Security XO right now. I need to talk with Colonel Allen and take care of some personal business are you up for it?

"Yes ma'am. Other than the little fight earlier it has been pretty calm. Seems like I may get a chance to work into it before all hell breaks loose again" He look the PADD and looked it over.

She chuckles. Well if all hell does breaks loose remember one thing your mind is the best weapon. She taps her console Computer 1st Lt Aleg Darten is now acting Security XO all calls will go to him authorization Saris delta 453. The computer confirmed it. Ok kid its your show please don't make me regret it. I'm going to the bridge if you need me just call. She stood up and waited to see what he would say.

She grins. Sure Alec just don't get to comfortable yet I have to run all this by Colonel Allen. So mind the store and I'll be back later. She walked out of the office and headed to the bridge.

As soon as he left he put his feet up on the desk and smiled. Yeah he could get used to this. Well as long as it lasted. But after an hour or so he got bored and slid out of the chair and left the office. Might as well roam around and to the security thing. Not like he didn't have a com-badge. if they needed him they could find him. Besides it was about lunch time anyways.

She entered the Security office when her self-imposed tour of the ship had ended. She thought the security cheif would be in but from the looks of it, she wasn't and neither was the Assistant Security Chief
She pondered whether to go in search for either one of them or stay in the office. She knew that one of them would have to return here sooner or later, so she found a chair to sit in and waited
