Samek entered, when the captain said "Come." He listened to the orders, and nodded. "That should not be a problem, Captain. There are plans in the Computer for those devices. However, I will recommend that we use our phasers on a low grade setting to burrow down first. The colony engineering teams will need to cap the holes with generators to suppliment the power source for the field. Once we get a large scale Fusion Generator installed in the central building completed, we can tie them in to suppliment those generators. That should ensure redundancy. I would also like Lt. M'Leeze to scan for any inconsitancies in the bedrock as well as strata below."

Samek nodded. "Thank you Captain, Commander." He said then, leaving the ready room. He went to the bridge engineering station, checking on the cooldown procedure. Seeing everything was working alright, he looked to Commander Grabfoot.
"Commander, the Captain has asked that I oversee a seismic stablization network. I require Lt. m'Leeze's assistance in the replication and scanning of the strata to ensure we do not create instabilities in the bedrock."

BACK POST
He hears the captain speaking to Grab Foot, The Grab Foot repeated it "Reduce Speed to warp 9.9. Slow to Full Impulse once we enter the system then assume a low standard orbit once we reach the outpost"
"Yes Sir" he said he was already doing the orders his tail wagged a little "Now at Warp 9.9 Sir" he reports
Buford maintains the course then the ship enters the system and he decrees to Full Impulse "We have arrived at the system Sir, Now at full Impulse" he reports
CURRENT POST
Buford maneuvers the Terrasect in to a standard orbit of the planet "We've arrived now in standard orbit of the planet Sir" He reports

He looked up to the viewscreen as Buford reported that standard Orbit has been obtained "Very good, Lt. A low standard orbit, as ordered by the Captain?" He questioned
He turned a glance to the TL doors as the opened, watching Lt Samek emerge from the TL and headed for the Captain's Ready Room. He was about to tell him he was in a meeting but then he assumed he was called up from the Captain himself
A few minutes later. he exited the Captain's Ready room and went to his engineering station

Buford hears Grab Foot asks him "Very good, Lt. A low standard orbit, as ordered by the Captain?" his ears go up, he moves into a low standard orbit
His tail wags"Yes Sir" he says as he looks at the view screen

She over heard Lt Samak explain he needs, "replication and scanning of the strata to ensure we do not create instabilities in the bedrock." She looked down at the console and began to key the commands for what he needed.
"Working on it Sir" She did several different key areas to give an overall picture of the planet and more importantly the area of the colony. She included a large swath of land for future growth. After an hour she had the required images and sent them to Lt Samak with a detail report of the types of layers found within the strata.

Samek had been going over the final information about the Seismic Stabilization Field. Once he got the final scans, he nodded. "I will need to make some modifications to the replicated probes in the Science Lab." He said to Commander Grabfoot. He looked to Lieutenant Grant. "Ms. Grant, I will need you to accompany me so we can go over the locations of each probe, the beam density required, and beam depth, with the Commander's approval, of course."

He nodded at M'Leezz's back, seeing her perform the necessary actions required in the Seismic Stability Scans
A few minutes later, Samek looked over and informed him that he will need to make modifications to the probes in the science lab then requested Lt Grant's assistance
He nodded "Go ahead" He said to Samek, sure that Captain Harsting would also tell him to make it so

OOC Note: Okay, sorry for the MIA bit. I had a change in jobs, and after a few weeks got promoted at my new one, and to say things have been hectic is an understatement… I’ll be working on catching up over the next couple days; I apologize again for my absence.

Jadzia was still finagling with the Tactical Console when, after an almost ridiculous delay after Samek addressed her as ‘Ms. Grant’, not out of rudeness but because she hadn’t been referred to that way in a while, she looked up innocently and a bit confused “Hrm?” Then quickly putting two-and-two together, she nodded eagerly to the Chief “Of Course.” And followed him off the Bridge; waiving over a relief officer in the process.
She snagged a ‘loose’ pad and trotted over towards the two officers, a big smile across her face. “This long distance exploration and the like, all this new and unfounded territory, it’s all kinda cool actually.” She said, with an almost innocent and naïve quip “I can see why you Navy people enjoy it so much…” she said, indirectly reminding them that she’d come from Starfleet Security’s R & D field; which obviously didn’t focus on exploration.

She snagged a ‘loose’ pad and trotted over towards the two officers, a big smile across her face. “This long distance exploration and the like, all this new and unfounded territory, it’s all kinda cool actually.” She said, with an almost innocent and naïve quip “I can see why you Navy people enjoy it so much…” she said, indirectly reminding them that she’d come from Starfleet Security’s R & D field; which obviously didn’t focus on exploration.
Samek, while waiting for the Turbolift to take them to the aft section of the ship, glanced to her. "Enjoyment is irrelevant. I do what is asked of me by my superiors. Nothing less."
He didn't say it in anything but his normal, neutral tone. He started walking once the turbolift opened. "Starfleet's main purpose is to explore and gain knowledge. In many ways, nothing much has changed in the last century." He would know.
He turned a couple of corners, entering the large science lab, that really looked like a large cargo bay with consoles surrounding the walls, and six items slightly larger than normal torpedos in the middle of the room, engineers and scientists working on completing the internal circuitry for the devices. Samek approached the largest console, which showed a 3-d representation of scan's M'Leeze had completed.
"As you can see, the crust is fairly thick. Each location will been to be approximately 100 meters below sea level of the planet." He paused, waiting for her analysis of the beam density and such required.

He did not received a reply from the Captain and thought maybe communications were out. He informed his men to stay there and he left the Transporter Room and takes the Turbo Lift to the Bridge and checked on the inner communications.
