[Lt Aidan McKenzie]

Finishing with the blood coagulator, he puts it away and turned back to the the pout look on her before she said "You probably wont like me now I'm damaged goods" then laughed in humor

He looked at her with a raised brow, with a look like "you're kidding, right?" then scoffed and laughed with her "Of course, I want you. no matter what happens, I'll always want you"

She then glanced over her shoulder then back to him "I got a boo boo"

He smirks, then looks at her mischeviously "How about if I kiss it to make it feel better?" Before she answered, he bend down and kissed the spot where it had been bleeding. He looked back at her with a laughing expression "Better"? he asks

He heard someone come in into sickbay and he turned to see Clyde, hearing him ask how the counselor is "She's good" he answered him "I just patched her up from whatever shot her and I need to treat her for mild frost bite" He then gave him a mock glare "Why didn't you protect her? Isn't that what you're supposed to do?"

He turned back to Cindy and gave her a wink, letting her know he is not mad and he is just pulling Clyde's leg. He then scoops her off the floor into his arms "Let's get you off the floor and onto a more comfortable Biobed, shall we?"

He then started to walk over to a biobed, with her in his arms

"How about if I kiss it to make it feel better?" Aidan said then he bend down and kissed the spot where it had been bleeding. She looked at him as he said "Better"?

"Eeeewww not its got slober on it" she laughs then she hears Clyde and looks at him"Fe Fi Fo Thumb were did you come from?" she asks with a laugh

"She's good" he answered Clyde "I just patched her up from whatever shot her and I need to treat her for mild frost bite. Why didn't you protect her? Isn't that what you're supposed to do?"

Looking at Aidan "You should know you just tasted me, this red light hit mr and knocked me on my behind, them jack frost bite me" she replies then sees Aidan look at her and

She looks at Clyde "Yeah why didn't you protect me!" she then feels Aidan lift her his arms "Let's get you off the floor and onto a more comfortable Biobed, shall we?"

"Yeah lets get me off the floor and into your bed" She smiles

Clyde looks at CIndy then laughs "She's high my sister gets that way when she's gaven terakine for pain"' he says as he watches Aidan carry her

"Eeeewww not its got slobber on it" then laughs again. He merely blinked, thinking that she should could have a head injury. Why else would she be acting this loopy, he asked himself "Fe Fi Fo Thumb were did you come from?" He heard her say to Clyde, laughing again in humor

He couldn't help but chuckle as he carried her over to a bio bed thinking that she was having what he called a laughing gas attack, where he thought someone was laughing too much, then heard her say that when she was shot, she fell back on her seat end.

He thought back to the readings he took from her and he didn't see any other injuries, to her seat end or her head

She replied to him "Yeah lets get me off the floor and into your bed" when he said let's get you off the floor into a more comfortable spot. He smiled at the thought of that. He would like nothing more then for her to be in his bed but unfortunately, he was still on duty and she was his patient, for a change

He set her down on a bio bed as Clyde commented from behind "She's high. My sister gets that way when she's given terakine for pain"

He turned a disbelieving look on Clyde"You're kidding.." he would say to him but he knew that he wasn't "Oy" he said to know one in particular, smacking his forehead in exasperation

He turned and walked over to get another hypo, brought back over and injected it into Cindy's arm, to counter the "high" feeling but not the pain killer itself

He made a note to himself to talk to the doctor about different medicines and their affects on different people. What he wanted to do, was get back to the Tactical station, but that doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon

He looked at Aidan as he looked at him in a disbelieving look on his face "You're kidding.." he would say "Oy" he said smacking his forehead in exasperation

Clyde watch Aidan give her another hypo he figure to counter the high feeling She's probably never had that medicine before, so theirs no record in her files. that's how Sis was she fell and broke her leg rock climbing, was Gaven terakine which she never had before then got high off it"

As she lays on the bio bed the new medicine works on her, while she talked about anything that came to mind. A few minutes later she blinked her eyes and looked at Aidan

"why am I so light head, and when did I get on the bio bed last I remember you were treating me on the floor" she says as she rubs her head

He looked back to Clyde as he heard him explain how his sister reacted when given Terakine, which come to find out, that's what he gave Cindy. He never thought anyone could get high off any medicinal medications but apparently he was wrong "I see" he would say, making a note to look over Cindy's medical file so he doesn't slip like this again

Cindy seemed to have babbled on, oblivious to her surroundings while Clyde was telling him about the effects on the terakine on his sister, and apparently Cindy. He looked back to Cindy as she shook her head as if to clear it and looked at him a bit confused "Why am I so light headed, and when did I get on the bio bed last I remember you were treating me on the floor"

He frowned and explained "You went all loopy and had a laughing gas attack when I gave you a pain medication for your arm.. or as Clyde said, you got high. As for getting to the bio bed, I picked you up and carried you. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have given you that particular pain medication" He looks contrite and chagrined at the same time

She was smiling at Aidan "You went all loopy and had a laughing gas attack when I gave you a pain medication for your arm.. or as Clyde said, you got high. As for getting to the bio bed, I picked you up and carried you. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have given you that particular pain medication"

She could see he was contrite and chagrined at the same time, she slowly moved her arm taking his hand "That's never happened to me before, you had no idea that would happen. Besides I'm Loopy for you anyways honey"

He walks around to Cindy takes her left hand "I'm Glad your OK he says smiling at her

"I got somethings to do, if your up to in maybe in an hour and a half you and Aidan can join me in the lounge for some hot coco

Clyde style 7 types of coco, and made with cream and milk not water"

He steps out of his office after taking a nap and pauses looking at Aiden, Cindy and then to Clyde raising a brow "do... I want to know whats going on here?"

He was especially looking to Aiden as he went over the Cindy's medical charts he starts mumbling to himself as he reads the treatment plan " terakine.... You administered Terakine for pain.... Take her off the Terakine, and dont administer anything"

"theres a reason why the stardard of care exists, cause every drug does something else... Some drugs can be a pain reliever but it can also be used as a blood thinner... In this case Tarakine is a pain reliever, obviously it can be used to as a drug induced 'high'" He sets the medical chart down.

"you obviously have a lot to learn about medicine before you can administer medications" after 'grading' her injury he grabs dermal regenerator to 'fix' the wound. "Like for instance, you didn't need pain medication you just needed a dermal regenerator... Remember, the body has its own 'pain medication' that works really well, have you ever accidently cut yourself and not even realize it?"

It was obvious that he wasn't very pleased with his actions, but since no one got hurt he was trying to turn his mistake into a learning opportunity....

He heard Cindy and Clyde and was about to respond to them when he heard the doctor come out of his office then came over to look at Cindy's chart mumbling under his breath then told him " terakine.... You administered Terakine for pain.... Take her off the Terakine, and don't administer anything"

He merely nodded, confirming that he had indeed given her terakine. He also stepped back and away from Cindy breaking hand contact, then heard as the doctor explained "there's a reason why the standard of care exists, cause every drug does something else... Some drugs can be a pain reliever but it can also be used as a blood thinner... In this case Tarakine is a pain reliever, obviously it can be used to as a drug induced 'high'"

It wasn't until he said "you obviously have a lot to learn about medicine before you can administer medications" that raised his eye brow, and his temper "Well, yeah, that would be pretty obvious, Doctor" He said a bit sarcastically "It would be also obvious, to me anyway, that I am not the best person qualified to be a doctor but somebody seems to think that I am" He was beginning to think the doctor was beginning to sound just as stubborn and bull headed as the Commodore

He wasn't very happy himself and it showed then he went to answer the doctor's last question "And yes, I have nicked and scraped myself without ever knowing I done it. Who hasn't?

he looks at Aidan "go into my my office, sit down and wait for me..."

He looks at Cindy "I'm terribly sorry about all this, Aidan still has a lot to learn, if you experiance any discomfort involving your arm come back to sickbay, until the drug wears off and your drug induced 'high' subsides I have to keep you here"

It seems like Clyde was on his way out so he said nothing...

He opened his mouth to protest, feeling like he was being sent to his room for doing something he shouldn't, but he closed it again without uttering a word

He looked at Cindy apologetically and then sighed, turning to walk into the Doctor's office. He paused, to hear the Doctor apologize to Cindy for what happened

"and you think I'm not?" he said dejectedly to himself "I'm the one that did it, not you" he grumbled right into the doctor's office

He sat down, crossed his arms over his chest, and waited

He walks into is office shortly after Aidan; he was actually fairly calm "I dont like doing this, but you need to learn something about medicine... The second that someone comes in through those doors they are no longer a crew member... No longer our friends, or family... Nor are they our lovers. The second they come in through those doors they become our patients..."

"with that in mind, your not a doctor. So when Cindy came in, why didn't you come get me? To me it appears that you saw someone that you have a strong emotional bond with and you wanted to help them... Damn protocol. What would have happened if you did the wrong thing and she bled to death?" These where all rectorical questions Aidan is not supposed to answer them...

"Just remember... I'm the attending your the Intern learning medicine... I know you dont want to be here, I know this... But for the duration that your working in my sickbay, I expect you to follow protocol... You see a wound that is beyond first aid, you come get me... You need to administer medication a nurse, myself or another doctor must be present... You have the rest of the day off, return to your quarters" Without letting Aidan respond, nor would it be a good idea for Aidan to say anything right now... "Dont let something like this happen again Aidan... Your dismissed"

He didnt have long to wait before the doctor came and started his little speech. He sat there and looks daggers at him, no more like swords

"I dont like doing this, but you need to learn something about medicine... "The only thing I know about medicine is enough to stay away from it" he thought to himself "...The second that someone comes in through those doors they are no longer a crew member... No longer our friends, or family... Nor are they our lovers. The second they come in through those doors they become our patients..."

"That is EXACTLY as I saw her" floated through his mind but didn't reach his lips

"with that in mind, your not a doctor." He shifted slightly "No, you think?!" shot through his mind "So when Cindy came in, why didn't you come get me? He sat there a few seconds after the doctor finished then he shot up out of the chair like he was stuck with a pin in the seat end "Very well, doctor. This will not happen again." His voice was low and calm, but the undercurrent behind it was that of a volcano about to erupt

He turned and headed for the door to his office. At the door, he stopped and turned back "Just what the hell am I doing here if I cannot lift a finger without being watched like a bloody hawk. I was doing just fine at Tactical before that fool commodore followed that Ferengi ship right into a trap and destroyed us all"

With that, he left but before he left sickbay, he turned a glance to Cindy "I am sorry" he said before power-walking out of sickbay to return to his quarters
