Chase was sitting quietly drinking what was it his 6th cup of coffee. He was listening to everyone at the table, he tended to be on the quiet side at first. But once he got comfortable well it was night and day.
And to his surprise he was getting very comfortable with these people and he decided then that he would give this place a fair chance. Taking out his padd he checked and quickly deleted the termination of employment notice he was going to send out. He felt better having done that not because of what would happen if he broke the contract, but that this time he was not running he was standing his ground.

With his eyes half open he spoke to her, I got pleanty of time to rest when I'm dead. But you are right I need to close my eyes at least. His eyes drifted shut the rest of the way as he adjusted himself to a more horizontal position in the bed. Don't let me stop you from doing what you want to do.

He sat down at the table seeing what Chaise was doing he spoke to everyone. All I know is that this colony wouldn't be the same if anyone of us here or on the surface wasn't around to see it through all the way to the end. With that he took a sip of his tea.

She blinked at his next comment and then thought he is half asleep. She thought of him dying, the idea not settling well with her, so she promptly dismiussed that idea as she felt him shifting to get more comfortable "No worries, Cerius. I am doing just want I want to do and that's be in your arms" She responded to his don't let him stop her from doing what she wants to do

He had fallen asleep half way though her respons to his statement so he didn't hear it all. She heard a small cough out of him as he was sleeping finally after a few days of not doing so very well. There was involuntary twichs of his arm periodically as he slept and dreamt about things.

His soft breathing/snoring is the only sounds that she heard as his response, the gently rise and fall of his chest telling her that he fell asleep finally. She knew he was tired but too wound up to sleep. Her presense relaxed him and put him to sleep. She smiled to herself then a yawn escaped. Feeling tired herself, she would follow him into the world of sleep

He slept for a few hours to slowly wake. He wasn't as hot as he was when he went to bed and his mind was more clearer. He could feel the presence of another laying on top of him. His arm was around the person. It wasn't till he looked down that he realized who it was and sighed a bit relaxing back to laying calmly in bed. Allowing his body to naturally wake and adjust.

In the corner of her consciousness, her mind registered the moving around of something that as under her. It took her mind a moment to realize what, or rather who, it is. A soft moan escaped her lips as the idea of waking up and moving from this most comfortable spot didn't appeal to her. At least, not right away. She wanted to sleep as long as possible

He heard her moan and woke up the rest of the way to feel her laying on him. That caused him to moan a bit himself and then rub his face. He checked under the covers and sighed as what he was thinking happened didn't yet. Not wanting to wake her he tried to move her off of him slowly to place her on the bed. He had to get up and get dressed decent at least before she woke up if at all possible. Wasn't till then that he felt every part of his body ach and the now cold cloth on his head. That produced another sigh as he laid there trying to figure out how to work his way out of this one.

Just as she was going back into full sleep, she felt him trying to move her off of him. She stiffened slightly but then relaxed a moment later, feeling the covers move against her skin instead of feeling the warmth of his body Must need to use the facility she thought as she layed there halfway between sleep and the waking world. She rolled over onto her back, laying in a somewhat sprawled position. He left arm came up and behind her head, as an added pillow. She would have stayed asleep if it weren't for her elbow touching the cold cloth that was on his forehead. She came awake and turned to look at him "Good morning, handsome. How do you feel?" asking about his fever and removing the cold cloth to feel his forehead

First thing that came out of his mouth was a slight maon before her hand hit his forhead which sent another part of him awake. I feel better, but you'll have to forgive me if I don't remain close to you as I am a bit indecent at the moment, and I don't want to have anything happen. He could feel his face flush.

She looked at him, hearing the slight moan that passed his lips. For a moment, she thought that she hurt him but that fear abated when he told her that he felt fine. She listened as he told her that he is indecent, which is why he wasn't as close as she liked and he was covered in the blankets. She knew that he is a prideful and pretty private man. "If anything should happen, I would presume that it would be something good. I understand and will respect your indecency and stay on my side of the bed" There is a hint of humor in her tone as she spoke

He sighed, It's just that...I don't want to... he rubbed his face with his hands before contiuning more calm. I just don't want to let my emotions get the best of me and end up getting you pregent before we marry. I don't want to put that burden on you nor put questions in anyone mind as to why we chose to be togeather. He then breathed a sigh of relef once he got it all out. The sheet was covering him from the waste down as in the night he managed to toss it down that far. Sorry I had to say it. Was killing me not to.
