"That is true Ejiul...but if they were just a technically advanced race why did they use rocks to make out their writing. Why not something more advanced? Like a phaser? It doesnt make perfect sense...or logic." She looks to Ael.

She kept pace with the Riov, making sure she was safe at all times. This was a great honor and she would not fail. She did ponder what the Riov was doing and why. But would never ask.
She checked her tricorder and saw they had crossed half the distance to the cave.

As they continued to walk she took readings every so often.
"Look over there, see that patch of grass. The readings I took confirmed that is from the seedings of grass recovered from this planet. Hopefully in another 100 years, we can return and this area and find a young forest."
"These readings are not important to anyone but the botanist who are here. There is an underground stream that we're walking over. We will be able to turn planet around."
"Come lets get moving. I still have some other readings to needed. Before you ask, I am not here taking readings for the scientific community alone."
As the sun reached its zenith, they got within eyesight of the cave.

"Don't look at me, I haven't a clue." She returns Johanas's glance with a surprised look that anyone was even paying attention to her. She had taken up the back of the group, since she sees a couple of her staff up at the front. She smiles and continues, "I'm only here to jump in front of nonexistant hostiles and beat them up so the rest of the crew here is safe."

Listens to Johanas "au are correct in vah au say, but none of the symbols look familiar" he says
using his tricorder "I may not daht a comman languange to it, I only know 80" he says
As he looks at the writing "If their were more I could decipher it, either they just wrote a little or it has worn away over the years" he says
Pointing to a symbol "this symbol appears 8 times and this one 14 times" he says "as all languages have vowels these are most likely vowels" he says
Looks at Zan rise an eyebrow "Jump in front I thought au would lead the way" he says as he looks back at his tricorder

She giggles at Johanas's Martian comments. "I didn't know the Earth's moon had a language of it's own... or Mars for that matter."
She looks at Ejiul and gestures to the two guys at the front of the group. "Matthews and Rogers have the front of the group under control. They're perfectly capable and they need to get some experience if I'm going to make them team leaders here soon."
She looks at the walls. "Ancient Hebrew doesn't have any vowels, and their language has endured almost as long as written language on Earth. It's the exception to the rule, I suppose." She shrugs and goes back to watching their backs.

Smiles at Zan "Ancient Hebrew is one language I don't know" he says
"I should learn it I hear its quite fascinating" he say "their may be others with daht vowels in them, the 80 I know all have them" he says
"Them being capable of the job, of that I have daht doubt or au would not have placed them their" he says knowing she is good at her job but has a feeling he has said something wrong
"Perhaps I should learn some humor as well" he says as he tilts his head

Nodds to Ejiul...."That could be true, but Zandile is right, some languages are just plain odd." To the away team. "Make sure you get every piece of what is written down on these caves it could be important."
She looks out of the cave. "It looks like the captain is headed this way...so look busy please. I dont want any slackers." she says with a smile.

"You're probably right about the vowels, Ejiul." She looks around the cave for a moment and watches people taking pictures of the writing. She checks her weapon and makes sure that no laggers were behind her, since she had designated herself the rear guard. She follows the last person.

Looks back at the writings puts his hand on the wall "this could have happened to our people" he says as he looks back at Zan
"If the Rihannsu had not left Vulcan the same thing could have happened to our people" he says then he looks back at the wall

As the shuttle clears the tunnel and sits down on a large circle he gather his equipment and exits the shuttle
As his eyes adjust to the low light he takes a deep breath "smell that" he asks
"its fresh air, not musty like a cave" he says as he walks a little from the shuttle

She smells..."your right...Maybe theres another entrance nearby or an air shaft that was dug out." Starts to take readings trying to find the source of the fresh air.
Anyone find anything else of interest? She asks the group as a whole.
